SteamHammer
Still not as a busy as it was back in the heyday when I joined. Then there were wild parties each night and the place was a mess when I came in each morning. I think a lot of that must have been Hayzel's fault. Twisted Metal
I'm doing well. 1 1/2 hours left of work and all is quite on the mean streets of Binghamton. ---------- Post added at 05:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:27 AM ---------- Anyone watch the newest episode of Walking Dead yet? Haven't seen any of the Walking Dead, honestly. Not a big zombie fan.
SteamHammer
If it was more action adventure I'd watch it but from everything I've seen it's just another human drama with the very occasional zombie part. Too much whining not enough zombie killing.
Twisted Metal
Im one of those people that secretly looks forward to a zombie apocalypse but I guess it's not for everyone. My wife hates the show and as a result I'm limited to watching it on DVR on my nights off lol.
edonil
Too much whining not enough zombie killing. Sums things up nicely, lol. Ah, nights off...been a while since I've had anything like that come about.
SteamHammer
Too much sci-fi seems that way these days. I guess it's just a lot cheaper to make if all the characters sit about complaining about things. Rather than grand adventures to far off places with the occasional dramatic turn which works because it doesn't happen every episode (like Doctor Frasiers death in SG1), we seem to just have day to day misery with every character being so damaged that they're unlikeable with the occasional happy moment. edonil
Oh good, so it's an international problem. Joy. (rolls eyes) I dunno, I find I can put up with drama in books and movies, but not so much in tv shows. Usually because they drag it out over many episodes rather than just dealing with the problem. Twisted Metal
That's why I never got past season one of Heros or Lost.
SteamHammer
Likewise with Heros, although that was going downhill long before the end of season 1. Lost I never had any interest in. I think I watched the pilot and didn't care about any of the people.
edonil
Lost- the show where the writers had less of an idea than the audience on what was going on.
SteamHammer
Depends, their idea might have just been to keep the series going around in circles for as long as possible to make money.
Absolution Black
Lol,you guys! Lost was a program I really enjoyed...to be fair it had its weird moments when you did think the writers had lost the plot..but i have now watched the whole lot through again and honestly, it does actually become a lot clearer! Heroes was good for a season but then went up its own... Shame, as the premise was really good. And sci-fi these days is just dross in general..same old cliches rehashed in a slightly different style..Havent really found a new sci-fi show i have stuck with past two episodes. edonil
Yeah, I just tend to avoid most tv in general. Far too many books to read and video games to play. I follow a handful of shows throughout the year. I think I'm at less than ten shows in total...?
Absolution Black
i dont know how many i actually watch...theres the long running ones like True Blood, bones etc.. Then of the newer stuff..I am really enjoying the Finder..pity it wont likely continue now Michael clarke Duncan has passed... And technically its not Sci-fi lol.. edonil
Eh. 'Popular' scifi tends to be fairly bad for tv shows. A few exceptions to that rule, but the reality is that executive meddling to turn shows into the next big drama just makes things the same as any other show on tv. LonelyPath
I am also current;ly in creation overdrive, but mine is writing up notes for a All Flesh campaign that's kicking off soon. The campaign's seen so many incarnations as I've created it, but I think I have finally hit a winner with the open plan story I've come up with this time. The players have completes control without even realising it, saves me a heck of alot of work, heheh
