mbowsher76
In the main book, there is a part where someone is talking about Rasputina (Marcus and Ramos?) and they mention she is from the guild poster wanted for drowning her own daughter. Did I read that right, did Rasputina kill her own child? I know it is just fluff, but I find it a bit disturbing. Will there be more information regarding that? This is Malifaux remember, even the seemingly nice Master who works for an eldrich abomination and wants to bring about a perpetual ice-age has a few skeletons in her closet. Nathan Caroland
Hah. And yes, you read that right. Now whether its truth or propaganda, a horrible accident or a heinous murder ... who knows.
paperbag4
My take on it was that she was convicted of that particular crime earthside, and sentenced to "transportation". Fun fact -- In Victorian England, you could be hanged for a crime at age 5, but not transported to Australia for a crime until you were 8. redstripe
Of course Rasputina is innocent of the crime! Everyone sentenced to labor in Malifaux, like Shawshank, is innocent!

I'm kind of curious what they would hang kids that age over - thievery?
paperbag4
Mostly thievery. Usually by five they were repeat offenders.

Brasidas
If I may tack on a question... What happens to Rasputina's power, now that December has died?

I don't think December is dead...I think his manifestation as a Giant Wendigo is dead... I think he is still around...

Cool thought. @Nathan: Sure, keep taunting us, see if you don't get a bucket of gatorade dumped over your head next year at Gencon.

redstripe
If I may tack on a question... What happens to Rasputina's power, now that December has died? Where did December get his power? That's what I'd like to know!

redstripe
That's what you'd like to know, huh? The question was rhetorical! It was meant to suggest a possible answer to his question with another question!
Wendigo
And then we can speculate that Seamus will inherit a portion of the Death-Spirits power... What I would like to read is the story how she pacted with December in the first place (sacrificing her child?), since WC3 did give us a story that led up to the events in the main rulebook. Also the more mature outline of Malifaux' stories doesn't bother me a bit. It's not a game that aims for mainstream-popularity and sacrifices cool fluff and models for it (like Helldorado), so one should be prepared for more horrific stories then usual. redstripe
What I would like to read is the story how she pacted with December in the first place The terms are not explained explicitly, but hints into the nature of Rasputina and December's arrangement are revealed in her conversation with him, when she dreams of him after being knocked unconscious by Lilith. Werecat
If I may tack on a question... What happens to Rasputina's power, now that December has died? Yeah, this question has definitely been in my mind. Though I don't expect any sort of straight answer, I really wonder what's going to become of the lovely Rasputina.
