Moktor
Let's say you deploy any model in base contact with a corpse curator. Using Desperate Plot, can I use the curator's Animated Remains ability to count as a corpse/scrap for the purposes of attaching an Appendage Upgrade? I ask as the wording leaves me a bit confused with the interactions. 1) If it starts its movement in base to base contact, it was technically in contact during the push. 2) It it runs into the curator, it clearly "came into contact," so I see this as valid. 3) Moving 0 is still a move, so could you declare the push, not move, and have it count? Opinions, or better, actual documentation that clears this up? Thanks!
0 Adran
I would say this doesn't work, as desperate plot talks about a marker you came into base contact with during the push which to me means it needs to go from" not in base contact " to "in base contact". 0 Paddywhack
Hmm. I've always played it as long as it was in base contact at some point during the Push it counts. I don't think it's detailed anywhere specific so might be something to discuss with your opponent. I can see people arguing either way. 0 solkan
As far as opinions go, I am biased towards their definition of “contact” where an object in base contact contacts the object in question only if it would have moved towards the object again. If you were in base contact at the start of a move and either did not move or moved away, you do not contact the thing under that definition. But if “contact” is just being used to mean “entered or was in base contact”, then the original poster’s scenario would work.
Question

Thanks!
