2 Angler questions

Poxo

Question

  1. Chum the Waters says you are unaffected by tide markers. Does this allow you to ignore the concealing generated by the markers when using Bally-Hoo Bucket as your leader (Tides of Meridion makes all tide markers concealing for the game when making attacks)?
  2. Does Make Way! on Buckaroo (after resolving an action in which this model moves through...) come into effect if they Butterfly Jump (After an action targets this model move) through a target?

1 yes, if you are unaffected by tide markers, then you are unaffected by all their terrain traits, even if they gain some dutchess game.

2 I don't think it does because both effects are after resolving an action, so would be at the same time, and if they haven't moved through the model you can't queue up the make way effects. I'm basing this on the start of activation rules, where everything that is "start of activation" does "begin" at the same time and won't happen if something else during the start of activation effects changes the board state such that a new "start of activation" would be legal.

There's a simpler reason why this isn't the case:  Abilities which are specified as 'After resolving an action' are not considered to part of the action, so their resolution cannot be used to satisfy any clauses.  In other words, the effects of Butterfly Jump cannot make any difference when trying to determine whether the action was 'an action in which this model moves through ...'.

Triggers are defined to be part of the action, so a trigger which resolved in the 'After resolving an action' step would be able to make a difference.  No such definition exists for Abilities, even those with the 'After resolving an action' timing.

Triggers and abilities have the exact same timing with "after resolving".
