Misaki ignore Pine Box?

Today, a few friends and I cracked open out Malifaux after a hot minute. We ran into a situation, that my search abilities is not specifically finding. If I Pine Box Misaki can she use her front of card ability to escape and essentially ignore the TN13 duel to become unburied?

Yes

When Misaki activates she may choose which way round to resolve the two abilities. So if she wants ti unbury near your marshall and not have to discard a shadow marker or recieve the mv debuff she may resolve that ability first and try to beat the wp duel, then if she fails she can unbury using her normal ability. Or if she doesnt want to be near the death marshall she can unbury near a shadow marker and not have to do the wp duel at all.

This may seem like a rules oversight but the ability works both ways and sometimes against her. Against a Tara crew for example if Misaki buries herself then she is made vulnerable to beyond time, Glimpse of the void etc. even though she was not buried by any of Tara's crew. Buried is buried for the sake of any ability, attack or trigger that cares about that.

Being buried agaisnt Marshall is quite dangerous. Since a lot of the KW can target buried models.

If a model has a way to unbury, then it doesn't matter how it got buried, it can still unbury that way
