Eclusive interview friendly / ennemy

le_wahou

Question

I have a question with the exclusive interview ability :

Quote

When an ennemy model within :ToS-Aura:2 takes the interact action, it is treated as a friendly model and the action is controlled by this model.

During the interact action, does the ennemy model counts as friendly to both teams, or becoming Friendly to the reporter's team makes him ennemy for his team ? I always played this way, but I am not sure anymore. This impacts :

_ deny of scheme dropping. Dropping a scheme with interact can onnly be done if there are no schemes friendly to the model within 4". If the model is friendly to both teams, any scheme within 4" will prevent him from dropping scheme

_ aura of opponents (example Amina Naidu). If the models stay friendly to his team, this aura will not trigger

The model is everyone's friend. There's no rule saying that a model has to have enemies.

- So when you control the interract, can you lay an enemy scheme marker ?
- You can't drop a scheme marker if there is either a friendly scheme marker OR an enemy scheme marker within :aura4" ?

The bit about "is treated as a friendly model" (and whatever that means) makes a difference for other rules, but not this one.  The specification in the marker rules is:

Quote

When a model Drops a Marker, it is friendly to the Crew controlling the model that Dropped it.

and the ability specifies "the action is controlled by this model".  So the scheme marker will absolutely to be friendly to the model with Exclusive Interview; and you can't produce an enemy scheme marker that way.

(Interact just say "Drop a Scheme Marker..." so the status of the marker, once you get past everything else, is determined by the rule that doesn't care who you're friends with).
