Mikes
As the title says. Who's played Newsies and what did/didn't they achieve?
le_wahou
I played them once. They were efficient for their cost. They scored by scheming. My opponent cheated to dodge their attacks, and send a model twice their cost to kill them. They were efficient to deny corpse : my opponent had trouble scorings his 2nd point of dig their graves. With manipulative and innocent bystander, they are a paperglass model, as sturdy as you can hope from a 4 point utility model. His thrown newspaper is really good. IE : a good model for 4 points, but you have to hide him or move on the far flanks. Otherwise he will be killed with 1 AP of a strong beater.

4thstringer
I think they got more interesting when they added the ability to Nellies card to give out distracted when your models are killed. When I've used them they don't survive long. They are liabilities in reckoning and turf war though. I love their abilities to really get the stacking distracted going.
Michael Curran
Aren’t they great as scheme runners & to stop flankers?

My problem with them as models to stop flankers is they are puny, so can't even engage someone to hold them does for a turn. Distracted doesn't do a think to tactical abilities or interacts.
