I look at the 10 ss cost I look at the model I look at the cost... i want to like the Drake, I love the model itself, but i will grab Izamu b 4 I grab the Drake. Also it has a decent attack, can fly at a good speed, and automatically can poison enemies. I had one once as Lynch in the middle of a Mei Fang crew and it held for three turns after tying to be focused down. While it may not have a fancy ability it is a useful model. scarlett fever Posted April 26, 2015 Report Share Posted April 26, 2015 Different models for different purposes I'd say. The Serpent is a fast minion, has flight and a ranged attack with blasts. Izamu has armour, 3" melee, melee Expert and doesn't count as killed in melee. If I'm going McCabe I'll always go Serpent over Izamu because of reactivate. If there's a lot of height variation/severe terrain I'd go Serpent. Now I've started looking into Brewmaster I'm considering fielding the Serpent for the poison. Also having the Serpent nested near a group of models with Ca actions can make it very difficult to get rid of. If I just want to control a position with a big dangerous brute who doesn't die then I'd go Izamu. I've fielded both together in a Misaki Reckoning crew.
