Lazarus Assimilate + Brass aracnid Stoke

Reading the cards, it would seem that after Lazarus activates, he can use Assimilate to take Stoke from the Brass Arachnid, which gives Reactivate, use it on the BA, activate it, then use Stoke again on Laz. One could continue to do this indefinitley it would seem. It this within scope of the rules??

You don't lose reactivate when you take the second activation, so you cannot gain it again. Also reactivate specifically states that a model cannot gain the benefit more then once a turn, even if you find a way to remove and reapply.

So, I could use the BAs Companion rule to chain activate it,then Stoke Lazarus for 1 more activation? Even just getting 1 more round of Laz shooting is worth it.

Yes. With the caveat that your opponant is getting an activation between the BA and the now reactivated Lazarus. They are still two separate activations after all.

Reactivate only works once, and this is pretty card intensive since there are only five cards in your deck that will get the spell off (10 tomes and higher). Other than that, yep! You can use this to give both of them an extra Activation each turn!

So, even if I use the BAs stoke on Laz, he still has to wait until after my opponent has a turn? I thoght Reactivate was instant, like a chain activation?

No, Reactivate lets a model activate again, but regular activation rules apply.

I've actually spotted before, back during the 2nd Wave Beta testing I pulled this off quite effectively although it's incredibly card reliant and intensive. The resources spent are often not worth the results although Lazarus with Re-activate is pretty amazing!

The Brass Arachnid can give itself the extra tome, and then stoke itself allowing it 2 more AP to re-activate 2 other models. If one of those is Lazarus, he could reactiavte 2 other models, so thats a total of 5 reactivates. And an awesome hand required to support it.

True however Lazarus and the B.Arachnid will require 4 specific cards to pull off his 2 Stoke actions (10 + or RJ). Highly situational but incredible if it works. The downside to doing this though is that you are taking away the High  cards that Ramos is hungry for when it comes to summoning his Arachnids. Still I guess the end result still gives you greater activation control but Ramos' summoning brings up to 3 more activations for one card whereas this little combo requires very specific cards and more of them to get those same 3-5 Re-Activates.

The Brass arachnid only needs a 10+ for its 3 reactivates, as its giving itself the extra tome wiith rewire.

Its still an awesome hand required, but not quite so unlikely
