McCabe, Dismounted McCabe and Conditions

13th Warrior

Question

Hi,

Came up in a game last night.

Sonnia hit McCabe with Flameburst, knocking him off his horse and inflicting Burning +1. Does the Burning Condition carry over to Dismounted McCabe or is he treated as a separate model?

I thought Conditions carried over, but that may have been a 1st ed hangover, as the 2e Coryphee / Duet says pass on the damage but makes no mention of Conditions

Cheers

Rob

Its worth remembering the downside, you have summoned a new model so it will be slow and unable to interact until the end of the turn.

Normally anything targettign the model will end in those circumstances, but Dismounted McCabe will still count for any schemes that used McCabe as the target due to his wording (So you can't just assasinate the horse, you actually have to kill him).

Edit- Corrected that he can't interact rather than is insignifigant

If Dismounted McCabe was summoned and then used his (0) Desperate Gamble to Re-Activate would he still retain his insignificant? Obviously Slow would have been used up in the first activation but will will he also lose the Insignificant from being summoned that turn?

Not true. A summoned model gets the slow condition and may not take Interact Actions during the turn they are summoned (rule book page 51) but they are not Insignificant.

As he never got Insignificant in the first place then it is not really an issue. In terms of the model would be able to use the Interact Action, then no as it is for the rest of the turn (unless he got summoned in the upkeep fase the previous turn).
