cool hand nuke
Is it just me, or is Toshiro going to be amazing in many Resurr crews? Does his mix of good melee attack, excellent buffs that affect multiple models at once, and that he is a henchman for SS use make him desirable in many master's lists? He is utility at its finest. Discuss. Thanks.
Nagash1959
He's extremely versatile due both his boost to nearby minions and both of his zero actions. His upgrade gives him extra use as a mini rezzer to help keep models coming. With is HtW +2 you can expect low damage to him ( but still, cover) and if you can run him with a healer nearby more the better. Easily worth his cost. MasterDisaster
I bought Toshiro to be used exclusively with my Nico crew, maybe McMourning as well but I plan on playing him Guild more often than not. I see him at the 10T/Rezzer's answer to Dashell. He fills pretty much the same role in that he's pretty damn tough, fairly killy and he also buffs the hell out of his minions. The fact that he can take an upgrade to allow him to summon as well... all gravy!
graeme27uk
He is useful. Giving him Corpse Bloat means he can also be used to generate cc's, though bit more risky as less wounds. One advantage is that in a Nico crew you can CB him almost to death and then use Nico to fully heal him. But CB competes with other 0 actions. Tosh and Nico within 6" of the same minions is nasty.... to hit is good.
Clement
Tosh and Nico within 6" of the same minions is nasty.... to hit is good. Do this with punk zombies. because 4 cards per attack is too funny not to.
entropolous
Do this with punk zombies. because 4 cards per attack is too funny not to. Make sure to have Toshiro use Daimyos Price first, then focus with the punks first AP....6 cards
Nagash1959
:+fate is the max, you'll never flip more than four cards.
MasterDisaster
The ideal setup is to have Nico and Tosh with a Belle at each of their sides and a Punk each up front, Buff like hell with Nico and Tosh, Lure with the Belles then Flurry the hell out of everything and with any spare actions, swing again! graeme27uk
Give Nico Necrotic King and then get Undead Crowning off. Ca for the Belle Lure and for PZ damage flip
cool hand nuke
Really good ideas here. I was also thinking of using him in my mcmourning crew, with him being a target to keep some heat off of Sebastian as a bonus. I realize Toshiro can be fragile even with HtW+2, and if he trudges up the board to keep minions within his aura range, he will be another target that an opponent will want to eliminate quickly, just like Sebastian. If resources are committed to handle one or the other, the unmolested one has potentially at least one more turn to do their thing, which can change games. This is assuming that both aren't being hammered simultaneously.
SevenSins
(This might be blasphemic but....) i have been considering toshiro with leveticus, he really is a very cool support/beater
Nagash1959
I guess that isn't a bad use for him. I haven't really read much into Leveticus yet, so I have no specific thoughts other than Toshiro is always awesome.
Malicte
Toshiro is pretty awesome with Leve, yes. He's an incredibly versatile model and just does a lot of things, so you can fit him in just about everywhere.
Falconrider
I use him with Lynch as he provides a nice buff to The Illuminated and Dawn Serpent. Mei Feng's Emberling like him too as it can drop scrap to summon Komainu.
