I really like the metallic sheen to her wings. M.

Finally got my Ogre done! Well that's one mini for the month, so I have met my quota... lol. He's a bigger one though, so that counts for extra, right? Hoping to get all of the Other Side mini's at least primed this weekend. Been busy with volunteering at my kids camp and trying to work this past week. M.

Honestly I haven't gotten much painting done myself in the last week or so... Almost got the Ogre done and have managed some prep work on a Dire Troll I want to do next as well as starting to get all of the Other Side mini's ready. But... just thought I would share really quick that I have been helping a special someone out on his own first painting endeavors. Teaching my 12 year old son some of the basics this week. He plans on doing his little WarHammer Army in Power Ranger colors! Looking forward to seeing how these turn out. I'm letting him do all the work, just showing him the basics and giving pointers along the way. M.

Still working on my first mini for the month, got an Ogre Zombie, he's getting close... Went the local hobby store the other day, though, and found a display of Wyrd games... I don't really play anything currently, but I love painting... my husband is the active gamer and I talked him into picking up The Other Side, so I guess I'll have some of those to paint too! The models looks so awesome, really looking forward to delving into them here soon. M.

Whew... okay flying in here at the last minute. Just signed a pledge, for very little, I kinda figure it doesn't really matter this late in the game and I'm still trying to figure out this whole soulstone/points system. But figure I have a few months to get into a groove and then I'll be all ready to rock 2024. I finally decided to try out some OSL techniques recently. Had some issues, yelled at the air brush a few times, might have tossed a mini across the desk in a fit of frustration, had to repaint a few things as they came out a sheet of flaming yellow instead of just looking like a light bathing of light had touched them... lol but it's all part of the learning process. Didn't get around to 'good' photos of these yet, but here took a few decent ones on my desk at least... like I said, gotta get into a flow I managed to get these two done, though. And got another started that I will hopefully finish up for July. You all have some amazing things that you have done this past month!! Thanks for sharing all of your work too!

I know this is a 'Metal' competition, but let me take a moment and compliment you on the rocks here. I love that they aren't just brown or grey, but a solid red. I just got done vacationing in Colorado, went to Manitou and the Garden of the Gods, and your rocks remind me of those so much. They look so realistic. M.

I really like how his foot is coming off the base, like 'he's going to come and get you!' LOL The organ colors are really nice, love the bronzed look. I think my overall impression is that the drybrushing (I'm assuming that's what was done) makes him look a little dusty... but that would be my only critique. Really fun work here! M.
