I have my idea: Top guild beater for his points is Bishop imo. With debt he can beat the living crap out of anybody. min 4 dmg(or even 5 in some situations) or min 3 with ignor of most def abilities is VERY, Very strong. He is pretty tough and well-rounded, can paralize, can flurry and with fast from any source he becomes just a BEAST. Outside of Bishop hype- i like executioners, but they have 0ss upgrade and can't realy pick debt or any other goodies. Thrall is a top pick for 9 points, but only 2 actions and no upgrades. Fast Sam with debt, bullet and while within 12 AND shooting burning target IS the top damage dealer, but come on. This is nearly impossible to do without masters help. But this is still 4 times 5min damage. Peacekeeper with debt is top dd, but he is VERY hungry for ss. I think rider is ok now, but not even close to say executioner.

Lol, have no expirience with Hoffmans stuff, it was literaly my first run with anything exept for watcher from his box. Thx for pointing that out. 8 def with is fine but a little too much as I think)

Still picking him in every game with nellie. Tried him with Franc AND guardian, but 10 def doesn't worth it. Hans for 7ss is ok now too and trapper for 7ss isn't ok for Nellie. Taelor is kinda better with armour now. I will try her with Nellie. Specialist is fine for Sonnia too.

They are totems. Or i should concider 3 depleted and hungering darkness best 12ss tough guys in the universe? Maybe, I need to see it on board or test it for myself. From my little expirience- models like ice dancer and guild investigators are far worse now as we don't have that sweet claim jump anymore.

marionettes are totems and dolls are 4 ss nah it was about 4 month ago.

This depends on your goals. I was wreckt on last big tournament by dude with all-guardsman list with w5 Lucius and he played only this list for all 5 games ending up on 3rd place. I understand this is highly subjective, but to me as a guild player this showed alot.

4 tough models for 12 ss is a very solid option to me In fact never seen in malifaux before.

Luc/queeg can speed them up if you need it. MI 4 attacks with + are meh, but still better then just MI 5 and most models can not kill them with one attack even with two this will be a hard task (you need to deal 6 dmg with 1 attack and 7 with two). And if you place say 7 of them- they will be in 3 for sure. Doggos need to be near each other to be significant while this dudes can operate solo. With little effect, but they sure can.

I think they are far more then ok now with scheme pool of gg18 and w5 buff on Luc. It need to be tested, but this is still pretty tough significant models for 3 ss.

Am I the only one, who think 3ss guards are THE MOST BROKEN thing in current meta state? You can place like 10 of them and still have 19 ss to pick some tough guys. They are not insignificant 6def 5 wounds with armor and tarpit-like abilitie. They are FAR better then doggos and any master will pick them as cheap decent activations.

I'm interested if Sidir considered to be too broken for his ss? Why he is still 9ss, while Franc, Jury, Judge, Sam and Phiona are 8ss.

I use him on a regular basis with Nellie. Debt to the Guild is absolutely needed to increase his potential. Franc gives +2 def, nellie gives him fast and pushes. Now opponent has 1 activation to answer to 4 ap model with min dmg 4 and flurry with df8/wp8.

did same trick with Dita and sam shoot 3 times with dita, bury her with dm, shoot 2 times with emissary. Same for Sam, but you can shoot burning guys without actual los.

I've played recently with sonnia against sandeep Ours/punish the weak and search the ruins. I did some good trades ending this game with 8-6 score. I think Sandeep was a bad pick in this situation. I easily did punish the weak and scored 3vp on ours. Placed last two markers with Sonnia before her death for ruins and scored 2 vp. That was a fun game, but I think Sonnia is not an optimal pick for ours. About gg18: As I see it- pool is again about placing markers (thx god they fixed auto 3vp claim jump). In case of Public demonstration guild can go full retard and just pick 2 thralls+ mounted guard for easiest 3vp in history of malifaux) Fixed Vendetta is pretty good if you play Nellie via snipers or dita with Nino. Fixed FFM is better. Now Izamu/peacekeeper/yasunori can grant you 3 vp. Now it makes sense to use your master as a sucker. As for other aspects- this scheme become much worse for guild players. Guild just does not has much durable models with low ss cost to live long enough (maybe riotbreaker will fix this, but i don't think so). Looking for other schemes outside of Nellie- Undercover entourage on Nellie, MM, Mccabe and maybe Lucius is fine, Show of force is generaly OK, Search the ruins is fine(after killing most of opponents models) but I think thats it. Rest of the schemes are +- only good for Nellie and maybe for Lucius/mccabe or generaly bad for the Guild. This is my theories and I can be wrong.

Hello everyone. New year is coming and gg2018 is already here. I haven't played new schemes and strats much so enlighten me: how Guild works in new metagame? Is it still dominated by Nellie? What about other masters? Is there any funny shinenigans? So feel free to post your experience and thoughts about gg18 here. I wish this thread will acumulate any info possible to help less experienced guys.

Tested new list for upcoming tournament. -Phiona (leader) -Franc -Jury -effigy Phiona with htk and 9 def+ 2 sources of healing is absolutely unbreakable. I've tanked 4 models with her, getting hit only 2 times. She also brings 5ss cache, which is just great since you have 3 henchmen.
