The opponent had to kill the patrols to get to anything else in the team, and they changed to death marshals. While executionners (hired and summoned) were sent forward followed at at 5" by DMR.
  2. You can include the asylum ability to prevent a staggered model from being used for schemes/strats if he is engaged. I have never been able to use it in a game because the setup is hard to build, but this is a unique ability to keep in mind. With a marshall team, The good doctor or the nurse can be used on corrupted ley lines.

Nellie used her card cycle to ensure the 13 to summon executionners. Dahsel, Executionners and Nellie dished a lot of damage. We were both unable to prevent a full scoring of the strat, either due to laugh offs on Nellie and Dashel, or from great movement abilities for Nephilims. schemes : hidden martyr 1 for me, 2 for nephilim. I could not get the shaman. 1 runic binding for me. Going with 3 field reporters was not really useful. They can be one shot by focused mature nephilim. I tend to get these models on every games I play with and I am often disappointed.

  5. I have troubles with the symbols of authority strat in guild. We do not have good scheme runners able to get 4 symbols from the opponent, and I have troubles defending them. What kind of team do you build when you see this strat ? The models I like here are our cavalry. Mounted guard, Lone Marshal, pale rider. Mounted guard are good but fragile. Lone marshal can not score if they are engaged, and pale rider is 11 points and tend to be used for his bonus action rather than pure running. Undercover reporter can be a solution, but your opponent can counter him if he has enough minions. I have never tried a reporter team to go hard on denial, but preventing the opponent from scoring at least 2 points seems impossible without tabliing him on beginning of turn 3.
  6. I tried 2 DMR in a Dashel team on a vassal yesterday. I had to put 1 lead lined coat on each beacuse I wa facing Tony. It did not seem to have a big effect, but it affected a lot my opponent and it was funy to play that.
  7. I am not really surprised by Levi. I was also thinking to a dual activation of Viktorias. For Seamus, that's a little strange. He ignores HtW, but you can still stone on damage and to give to damage. How did he kill her without a lucky red joker ?
  8. I disagree. She can be killed but if she dies, the opponent has usually spend way too many ressources for this and I will win the game.
  9. Phi is a min 2 model without crit execute onslaught. She is Not that punchy. But you should not use journalist keyword on a strat / scheme with a lot of damage dealing
  10. She has 2 tricks (well 2 1/2) : _ going in contact with one more question. In this case, this cations become slow; 1/3/4; force an interact on the opponent that you control; get 1 focus; draw 1 card. That's probably one of the most efficient action in the game. Besides, the 1/3/4 damage track with a model always focused is not that low. _ card recycling with slow news day. Not the best action around, that's only 1/2 point 🙂 _ use twisting with a stone for trigger. You can get a lot of damage if you have created a layer of schemes with false witnesses, and you will get a charge from your opponent. This allows you to replace him and get an attack from a beater, or spend some ressources on another model (focuses, team special mechanics like power, destiny, chi tokens etc...) She is also the only "don't mind me" model on guild. I often use her as scheme runner. Anyone trying to stop her will get the "one more question" option above 🙂
  11. That would be worst. 10 stones for for a model dealing only once 3/4/5 ? He is fast, he could be a good scheme runner if he add something that allowed him to disengage and scheme easily, but Creep along can be countered by your opponent. And a good opponent will counter it when there is 1 VP to gain/lose. I see Sam as a bad Grimwell with a good ranged attack and a little less survivability.
  12. Using a 2/3/4 damage 1" melee, even at on damage, with a 9 stone model build to kill things still seems so wrong to me.
  13. Thralls seems good in this match up. Ruthless and a shockwave are 2 good tools. I would not be confident with dispell. Itf I read Montresor right, you can nod end staggered condition around him. Your dispell would be useful only from turn 3. Pale rider would be also good. His pulse will go through incorporeal. He will deal some burning to use for Sonnia or Thrall regen.
  14. I was wrong on mimic. I really thought that you did not keep symbols and from the original action. I was also wrong on Nellie who gets her focus and draw when she forces an interact on an ennemy in one of her 2" aura. Both are good news for me !
  15. Handler can push minions toward him, has a better attack, and can use soulstone. Both seems good choices for first trys with this upgrade
  16. Too frail in my opinion. I find them expenive for their cost, I would not get them with an upgrade
  17. That may be a really good idea. Getting a sturdy 6 point model to fake hidden martyrs and hope that your opponent wait to kill both in a turn is good 🙂
  18. Who is going to kill them with a model when you can poison, hazardous or burn them ? You also have to find the right pair at 8 points max.
  19. Dust marker disappear at end of turn. I am not sure that you can use them.
  20. Symbols : Nellie should be able to get 3. maybe 4 if the opponent did not split them enough. Reporters can deny interacts for defense. The crew seems really efficient here. Recover Evidence : you have to make some killing to score. I do not think that Nellie will be really good here. The reporters do not have good survivability, and not enough damage to make the kills. Corrupted ley lines : I do not think that you can retrive opponent's tokens according to wordings. You can dig here, but the opponent only has 1, it would really be an auto win. Even if the wording allows it, I guess it would be forbidden in our meta. You can force interact on opponents close to your carrier to help move tokens beetwen your models, and you can prevent the interact of opponent. It still seems good for reporters. Public enemies : don't bring pen to a fight 🙂 Hidden martyr : nothing special here Sabotage : lots of ennemy forced movement and scheme denial. Catch and release : no model with good survival ability, and too few damage to kill the ennemy catcher. Bad for reporters Let them bleed : pen, fight, no Leave your mark : lots of scheme denial. Good ! Phiona with LLC trying to get leave your mark and false claim will seem obvious for opponent. The reveal seem hard and may be a problem research mission : not for guild. Forget this one Spread : not the best move to score it, but good denial Runic binding : not the best move to score it, but good denial I do not feel that reporters are in a badspot here. They may be below Dashel for most of them
  21. I do not have the same conclusion. On end of turn 2 two movements and devastation. On first action turn 3 devastation 1 movement to retrreat and one shot on a close model, that's 4 irreducible, 1 burning damage and burning 2 on a 14" diameter without putting your rider in danger. That's still a big deal to me
  22. Getting a staggered at high range can be game changing. A high cost model that can not be pushed by allies and has his movement reduced by 40% does not present the same threat. I have already used tokens on pale rider 1st or 2nd turn for this. As the best trigger is now 4 ram, it may change : you do not have spare destiny. If you use 1, you delay devastation by 1 turn.
  23. Secret exposed in the 2" aura of a reporter means that you will usually get : slow; 1/3/4; drop a scheme; focus on 1-2 models; probably a draw. You talk about action efficiency later in your post, I do see anything more efficient in other factions. Sergeant allows you to prepare the scoring. You still need to scheme before, I agree. But you can scheme in a safe position with low cost model, and have sergeant position the schemes. Queeg can also do this on the totem, as pointed by Maladroit. The Jury is on 1" melee, at 6 against WP. I do not see the henchmen as vulnerable, especially as he tends to have extremely heavy beaters around him. Still, this is not a ranged scheme dropping. It is efficient on AP cost and allwos you to drop chemes when engaged, but this is not a the most efficient here. I do not believe that getting some burning with Sonnia's team is a problem. It is the side effect of most of the attack actions of the team. You call it inefficient, I call it synergy. Augmented gets this from arcanist models. That's not a problem, it means that the keyword has access to these actions. I agree that some of our keywords are less efficient than others on these schemes. We have 1 keyword that will never choose them without using tax models. The others can at least threaten to do them. We have 3 keywords (Reporter, Elite, witch hunters) able to do them consistently. You can not compare the average of our keywords with the best models of other factions and get the conclusion that we are weaker.
  24. Most keyword has at least one way to drop scheme markers out of interact. Elite : draw out secrets trigger on lawyers/investigators, false claim on false witness Reporter : false claim, secrets exposed in 2" aura Marshall : draw out secrets on Jury Guard : scheme movement on sergent, taggart to change totem or ennemy scheme to friendly Witch hunter : thalarian queller Augmented : no idea, I do not play them Basse : no way at the moment We also have strong denials on this. I am afraid if we have to go from one side of the map to the other before scheming. Otherwise, I believe we are ok.
