  1. I had a confusion while reading the RB's examples. RB, p. 58, refers to the action with a following Stat block: "5 + Rams + Positive". Then it says: Does the balded thing it a simple missprint - and the whole stat of an action should be "5 + Rams + Positive"?
  2. I have a confusion while trying to determine the difference between ''Line of Sight" and "sight line". In Line of Sight Section we see that: So I conclude that Line of Sight and sight line are not similar things. And there are some game effects like Cover and Concealment that don't rely on Line of Sight - but instead rely on sight lines. Moreover, there are different ways to ignore or twist the Line of Sight (such as drawing Line of Sight from another model). For example, Zoraida tries to obey someone who is behind the concealing terrain. She can draw LoS from the Swampfiend model on the other side of the concealing terrain in question. So it means that: 1. Sight lines from Zora to target pass through concealing terrain. 2. Sight lines from Swampfiend to target do not pass through concealing terrain. Should the Zora's obey suffer from concealment?
  3. Let's then clarify all the situations possible: 1. Models A and B are both in concealing terrain - concealment will be. 2. Model A is in concealing terrain and model B is not - concealment will be ignored since Model A can ignore it. 3. Model A is not in concealing terrain and model B is in concealing terrain - concealment will not be ignored?
  4. Have a confusion while applying "toward" to a non-impassable marker. For example, if we push model 4"'' towards a Pyre marker - where will the model stop? In base contac with a marker or when the center of her base will match the center of Pyre marker?
  5. I need a clarify for a situation. We have both models A and B belonging to a same Crew, each standing in a concealing terrain (green zone). The rules for Concealment terrain state: The rules for Concealment are: The question is - since both models belong to same crew and it's up to their player whether they shall ignore the Concealing trait of the terrain they are standing in - will the attack from A to B (such as Obey) suffer the effects of Concealment or not?
  6. I hadn't find in M3E RB rules that actually state that resolving the move towards an object must definutelly decrease the final range between them. The restriction that such move must not bring the model further from the object that it was at the start of the move exists: "Something moving toward an object cannot move further from that object at any point during its movement, even if doing so would ultimately bring it closer to the object at the end of its movement." And the reason why I brought the tread with Investigator's was actually your answer: " If you have to move toward or away from something, usually there's only one direction for the movement which satisfies that requirement. But when they're perfectly co-positioned, any direction will satisfy the requirement initially, and then because it's a push, you're locked in to moving straight in that direction."
  7. The bad thing is that "making sense" is a subjective thing.
  8. I was thinking the same way - before i saw the answers for the question that i gave link to. Now I hesitate.
  9. Have found a strange situation where rules dictate the model to push towards herself. The wording of Arctic Pull action of Thoon "Any models" means that if Thoon is in base contact with a marker, he's affected to - and so must be pushed towards himself (this model). Rules for pushing toward are here Since the two points that we use to measure the direction of the push are at the same place, I think that any distance we push Thoon will fit the first part of rules. And since the distance between the model and herself will not change - push in any direction fits the 2nd part of rules. Also, in a similar situation (where was a question about pushing away) - there were an answer that any direction will fit. Waiting for your opinions.
  10. So the question is: if Titania or another model under her aura is struck by an attack with multiple blasts, like 2|3+Blast|4+2xBlasts and an opponent flips Severe damage - what will happen? 1. The opponent will place 1 blast marker (as for Moderate Damage), 2. The opponent will place 2 blast markers (as for Severe Damage), but the original target will suffer moderate and hitted by blast - weak.
  11. So what's your answer if there are two Investigator's within 4 of the placed marker - can them both push the model in case or not?
  12. So you're stay that the model in case will be affected by an aura? The reason I'm asking is the consequenses of being the "affected". For example - if there are two Investigator's within 4 of the placed marker - can it both push the model in case or not?
  13. Here's the situation. There are an Investigator and another model in 4.1" from him. The Investigator places Scheme Marker, triggering his "It's Evidence" stuff. Since 30mm + 3" is more then 4.1", so the another model can be pushed by "It's Evidence", even being not actually in aura's range. As it stated in RB, all models inside the Aura’s area, including what is generating the Aura, are affected by the Aura as long as they stay inside the area and remain in Line of Sight of the generating object. The “affected model” in these instances is whatever model experiences some change in game state. In my example we have the model outside the Aura's range, but experiencing some changes in game state. So the question is - will be the model in example treated as "affected" by an aura? More widely: are the "stay inside the area and remain in Line of Sight of the generating object" and "experiences some change in game state" separate causes for a model to be count as "affected", or they should be used in conjunction?
  14. There are some actions/abilities that allow pushes away from non-impassable markers - like Investigator's "It's Evidence" stuff. Also It's stated in rules that model on 30mm Base standing atop of a 30mm marker will not block LoS to it. So the question is - if a model standing perfectly on top of a marker is called To push "away" from it - in what direction will be that Push?
  15. Looking for a regular games in Vassal. Mostly on weekends and Friday nights. Prefers competitive play. I'm GMT+3
  16. Maybe it can sound stupid, but I wanna check: Grootslang's Wall Climber Ability says that while he is in base contact with a Marker that counts as Terrain, he gains positive to all non-damage flips. If he is in base contact with Lair marker, he also deals +1 damage. So the question is - what if he is in base contact with two terrain markers or two Lair markers - shall the bonus double or not?
  17. Had a couple of test with this list: Declared Faction: Neverborn Crew Name: DreamStrike 50ss Leader: The Dreamer - Cache:(5) - Dreams of Pain 5ss - Otherworldly 2ss Daydream 2ss Daydream 2ss Doppleganger 7ss -A Thousand Faces 1ss Mr. Tannen 6ss Bloodwretch 5ss Grootslang 6ss Aionus 12ss I see this as a compromise between summoning alpha-striking. First of all, we place Lair markers in strategic points near the centerline. Boosting the hand with fast BW, we use one or two mask cards for summoning and other Dreamer's AP to give Playtime to Grootslang and, possibly, Doppleganger. Then make some more hand-boosting with fast Doppleganger (changing TF to pact and drawing a card), cycle actiavations and then replace Lair marker with "Time changes all" of Aionus. And with last activation we use fast Grootslang to jump in the middle of an enemy lines and make a potentially unstopable chain of attacks, drawing a card each time we damage an enemy. So we can end the first turn with lots of damage and lots of card on a hand - which both make the following game much easier.
  18. The card says "Enemy models may not end placement effects within 8". When the model places a marker - does it mean that model end placement effect or not?
  19. I wonder - does Gravity Well Ability of Anna Lovelace prevents placing enemy Markers (for example, Scheme markers) within the aura?
  20. The 0's card drawing only comes when you've cheated fate against an enemy.
  21. I'd like to suggest Doppleganger (any list is cooler with this girl), Serena Bowman (allowing you to turn important Minions/Enforcers into Nightmares) and Bloodwretch to draw cards (but the best is two Wretches and Aionus).
  22. Because the question is not about blocking terrain. It's about Engagement Elevation and, particulary, about the range between two models, and how does it measure.
  23. The question I faced today is - how does the Reva's Strength of the Fallen ability deals with Engagement Elevation? Does the Corpse Marker (or Mindless Zombie) is treated as having Reva's Ht3 or do they use their own Ht0(2)? According to an old tread (2016 year), the correctmodel answer is the second one. But I'm hesitating. Here's the link for a tread
  24. The question I faced today is - when two or more abilities of a model comes into play "when the model is killed", who decides the resolving order? And, moving forward, what about if one of such abilities states that the model is no longer killed? For example: 1. When this model is killed or sacrificed, draw four cards 2. When a friendly living model is killed within 3, you may discard this upgrade. If you do, the model is not killed and heals 1 damage. Can I resolve first one, then resolve the second and save the model?
  25. And it's mandatory to seek "the nearest clarification", even if it's about completely another situation?
