  1. And you're missing HtW lol Last activation is guaranteed most of the time, either for the amount of summons or for the Will of Cadmus. However, first activation in turns 2-3-4 is not even close to be guaranteed due to the amount of pass tokens. Don't misunderstand me, that Ill Omens +2 is broken, but where it truly shines is when Archivist is picked OOK.
  2. Amazing model, cool rules, better name! I'm missing the Gremlin family riding the silurid, that was my favorite. Please tell me that it's still coming at some point!
  3. Actually I remember both games, since they're quite recent and also both of them ended with the same score 7-6. First one was Leveticus vs Nexus: I had some idea about how Nexus works while for my opponent it was his second game with Nexus. He managed to kill all my models but 2 (Emissary and Marlena), but I was able to deny him a point from Recover evidence in turn 2, which decided the game in the end. Second one was with Mah. I brought Gluttony and my opponent didn't know much about him, so I got him by surprise with a Maddening Drums that removed 2 of the markers he needed for summoning in turn 1. Both very close games that I won just because I knew how to play my crews better than they knew how to play Cadmus.
  4. 100% your fault! Great game tho ^^
  5. Totally agree, but still, she really bring a lot for 7ss, so I would cut her mobility down to 5 (I don't see a reason why she should be able to run 18" a turn).
  6. This is going to be a bit of an unusual post, since it's not a battle report. With the possible release of a GG2/1.5, I wanted to share my journey through GG1 (from the 4th of April 2020 until today). When I was confined, I started to play more and more online, so I decided to keep track of my records. Keep in mind that most of these games were non-competitive, played against my friends. Although there are a bunch of more competitive games there (online tournaments, Vassal World Cup, Malifaux Vassal Masters), 30% of those games were played against my group of friends, so neither of us were playing "the most competitive lists" or we were just trying new stuff (I ended up buying 5 new keywords after playing in Vassal lmao). Games played: Masters I've played: Masters played by my opponents (and the times I won/tied/defeated them): Thanks to Vassal, I managed to play a lot of games, specially due to the current pandemic and WFH being gentle with my schedules and saving me a bunch of time. Also note than during GG0 and the launch of M3E I mostly played these masters (I don't have the numbers, sorry!): Wong Reva Tara Parker Som'er Ophelia Finally, I just want to thank all my opponents and specially all the people that made this possible, either by supporting Vassal or organizing events. People like @katadder, @dannydb and @andorman, your time and dedication made my pandemic year much better, thank you! I hope I can pay you a beer someday
  7. Bokors are a bargain. They do too much for their cost, the healing is not the problem is their card draw that is insane. The nerf could be as simple as make "Deja Vu" only once per activation. Whiskey Golem is totally fine, but Moon Shinobis should definitely go in that "maybe" at least.
  8. That's true, however 55$ (before tax) is an expensive price for what it comes in the box. Usually, starting box (or start collecting boxes, pun intended) should have a more attractive price... That price is terrible to attract new players.
  9. I did exactly the same against Seamus in that pool&map with Pandora. If you're willing to lose your master to allow the rest of your crew to go score points, it's totally worth it. My 2nd activation of turn 2 was Pandora triple walk + open the box for a total a 13 damage and a bunch of stunned. People don't expect that and stay in their bubbles, specially being corner deployment. You also need to be ready to lose your master, since things could easily go sideways.
  10. I also like the idea, but it should be "Attack Actions" and not any action.
  11. Alphonse is great, Sammy and Bokors are a bit overtuned and need a nerf, specially the Bokors. Swine-Cursed are just okay. Taxidermist are mediocre. Lightning bugs are bad. Sammy and Bokors are probably better in their other keywords that in Wizz-Bang, which leaves us Alphonse as a great model.
  12. Outcasts have very few options for condition removal, so that's good for you. Obliteration (Tara's keyword) has to hit a lot of moderate TNs in order to work properly, so try to put some pressure on your opponent's hand and he'll start to struggle to do everything he wants. Don't send people running around further away than 10" from your main group, or Tara will start messing with your positioning. Kill Aionus as soon as you can and the crew will start to lose a lot of efficiency. In general, Obliteration has low damage tracks (with the exception of Nothing Beast), so with all your healing, you should be fine no matter what you bring to the table. Fermented River Monks, even with their low Wp could be a great add since you can use Chi to pass the Glimpse of the Void simple duel, avoiding to become buried. Best of luck and most importantly, have fun! It's going to be a nice matchup
  13. And they maybe will or won't get the job done. You put those 11ss in Symbols pool with Spread them Out/Breakthrough/Sabotage and he'll give you 4 points without your opponent having much to say about it. I call that a great investment. If the opponent tries do stop him, you should win just by the amount of resources that it will take from him to try to stop a model with: Stealth, Disguised, BF, Mv6, SS user with a Leap and Pouncing Strike.
  14. He still smashes things without much trouble, just need a bigger resource investment. With 2 Gremlins in a Ghillie Suit he's probably the best (and one of the most expensive) scheme runner in the game.
  15. Tricksy wins by far if we don't take into account masters and totems. BBB and Sparks are just great OOK picks and I've seen them in many lists. I've played Silurids and Spawn mother many times OOK (and I've seen the Spawn Mother a bunch of times in other player's lists) and The First Mate is probably the most picked OOK model across masters.
  16. There aren't henchmen (or henchwomen) anymore. They were going to rebuild the project, but no news in a loooooong time, not even a simple: "Hey guys, we're working to have it ready once the pandemic give us all a break". You can't compare GW with Wyrd. GW has been around more than 40 years and there are more than 100 times the number of people that are part of Wyrd.
  17. Rebell Yell requiring a 3 is fine, I would usually prefer to bring real condition removal, like BBB. If I would change something from them would be giving them something to do with their actions or improve Pluck the Strings.
  18. Once all games are played. They have until this Sunday.
  19. I definitely prefer to assemble them myself, specially after seeing the improvement in the matrix of new M3E models, but I understand why in a starter box they come preassembled. I think it's nice that a new player can just go to the store, buy that box and start playing right away a Henchman Hardcore game
  20. Whiskey Golem is the best option. He's going to be a must in almost every list of Brewie. I don't think you'll be using Wild Boars much, at least once you have other options, but they're not bad to fill up to 50ss while you're building Brewie's crew. Welcome to the Bayou! Enjoy the moonshine
  21. I said it many times during the beta, nobody listen. @santaclaws01 (and someone else) slapped my booty twice with them while I was uncapable of scoring more than 2 points, between both games. They just got more stuff after that xD It's not a surprise that with 4 games left to play of R1 of February's vassal event, 7 ES players are in the top 15 in one of the groups.
  22. Banjonistas are bad, but at least are a summon. Lacroix Raiders are garbage. No real defensive tech and they get a to their attack (8") if the enemy doesn't have any Cover/Concealment, the only moment they wouldn't need it... There's some synergy there about driving cards, but your stones in Kin are better expend somewhere else.
  23. They're useful for Research Mission, Leave your Mark, boosting Brewmaster with focus, scraps for Sparks and Cooper or even just to put extra poison on Fingers and Brewie. I don't know in your games, but in mine, usually is not enough
  24. If I were Wyrd, I would release a new Errata with the bare minimum changes possible (but some changes for sure) I would address all the FAQs so people like the TOs for the Vassal World Championship don't have to come up with a 10 pages document to address some rules questions... Some of them have been around almost 1 year (if not more). The GG question is tricky. I've played 111 games of GG1 so far, and honestly, I'm starting to be a bit tired of it. But as @santaclaws01 suggested, I think the best solution would be to mix the best of GG0 and GG1 to give some fresh air to the competitive and semi-competitive scene. For a in-depth errata I would wait until the dust from ES settles, for some basic reasons: Many of the models are not even for sale, so sell them with cards that are no longer valid is not the best idea. ES is starting to dominate the high positions in Vassal tournaments, but it could also be related to player skill. Nerfing too much some of the current keywords that are considered "overpowered" could result in ES dominating even more, with the game leaning to ES vs ES-counterpicks. I honestly hope that Wyrd takes its time to do things right this time and doesn't strike too hard with the nerf bat and instead starts fixing those models/keywords that really need them, but with proper fixes, since there are a bunch of keywords that came half-cooked from the M3E beta. I understand that, since there was a date established and little to nothing could have been done. Now, there is no hurry and M3E is great, so I hope things are managed the proper way this time
