Something can't be both impassable and climbable. As I understand it, it can. The book even defines a wall as both impassible and climbable - only you can't be "inside" the piece of terrain, only on top of it. (the impassible terrain definition in my opinion could use some work) Al.

I don't like metals either, and much prefer the plastic..but there are some glaring issues with some models. As for Fiend, I think he was saying that because you have invested time and effort into making a proxy for a model, that when the original is released it is unlikely you want to do it all again for the official model. Eh - there are always going to be issues with pretty much any model - as it's largely subjective. The only one I can really think of that really bothers me is Lazarus - but that's a really old plastic model as I understand it. As for building proxies and then having plastic versions come out - it's par the course isn't it? It's the same in pretty much any mini system. (list fiddled with a bit) Al.

I'm thinking of cutting this list back to barebones and removing all the release dates - so it's just a straight up list of models that don't have a projected release date yet - what are people's thoughts on this? AL.

My fave is Zoriada, a voodoo doll and a pigapult. You hem the voodoo doll to a model you wanna get rid of, then fling it with the pigapult. Suddenly the model you've hemmed is paralyzed.

That was my initial thought too. There are some very good plastic models out there but far from being called "glorious M2E plastic". With all the issues and lack of detail etc.. Weird thing to put in a topic. It was 'just jokes' - having a laugh. But honestly I hate metals, so I do see it as far more glorious than anything previous to it. Really annoying but opens up the possibility to proxy. Only problem is once you got the proxy down, based and painted it doesn't matter what the official like looks like when it comes out. I won't be doing all that again once I've got the proxy down. What exactly do you mean? Do you mean that it's annoying when your proxy has official models? I'm confused. I'll have another fiddle with this list tonight I think, it needs a bit of polish. Al.

Continuing the trend - Demo Nights are Fridays! Always got room for more - as an aside though, our little community is growing FAST. Just got our seventh table half finished - soon we should have enough tables to run some pretty slick events! Al.

BIG BUMP! The Malifaux community we have going in the House of War is getting BIG! I'm currently having to build our 5th table just so we have enough room on our Friday Night Faux nights! Already running one demo on Friday, and there's plenty of room for more. Al.

As with every week, demos continue this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We're now at the point where our paltry three tables aren't enough so I'm busily working on a fourth. Hope to see you there!

Hi guys! I'll be running demos every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at my new store, The House of War at 52 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood VIC. We have a rapidly growing Malifaux community (have about 20 people who have made some effort towards playing, be it simply buying a box or obsessing over several different factions like yours truly) that gets bigger by the day - and I'd love to teach as many people as possible how this wonderful game plays. Demos are LITERALLY all day, I keep running them as long as you guys keep playing them. But the store is open from 2-10pm (opening at 12 on Sat) on each of these days listed. So get in! Al.

I can tell you right now from the perspective of a shop owner - Age of Sigmar, despite the issues we've had from the tournament goers, has been a huge boon for sales as it's brought in a lot of new players to Fantasy. Lots of people starting new projects because the game buy-in is far smaller than it was before. Don't get me wrong - I would genuinely prefer 9th edition over it - but it definitely has revitalized the game. People are less intimidated by it.

Yes mate - definitely keen for another demo night this Friday - we open Friday week so we're slightly snowed in with work that needs doing - but still keen to keep things moving. So yes - if you're keen for some Faux this Friday, let me know! The more the merrier. Al.
