  1. Well, I was starting the temple arch on my Dawn Serpent and the whole thing fell apart dramatically, likely due to the crummy glue I had used. I am still hoping to have it fixed and completed by the end of the month, and will still have my pledge completed one way or the other, but I am afraid I may even have to purchase another. It's pretty jacked up after meeting my hardwood floor. All of that is to say, I may not have the Dawn Serpent finished this month, but will otherwise complete my pledge and perhaps move that project to next month.
  2. That said, one of the things I am really looking forward to is seeing how everyone, and of course myself, further develops their skills and techniques over the course of the challenge. Sometimes having a little pressure on is the only way I can stay in the groove, and I am excited to see what a solid year of regular practice can do. I think we'll all be awfully proud of ourselves after this.
  3. Thank you very much! It is a little bit the picture and a little bit a lack of highlights. I've been experimenting with Reaper paint's Grey Liner, which is a very nice matte dark grey. That lets me wash some details in, but I definitely agree some more highlighting would make it pop, and the blue sounds great. Black is still a paint I struggle with, I have to admit.
  4. Finally getting started. Not too much further to go for the kung fu accountant.
  5. Finally getting some paint on a Dawn Serpent and cracking open a brand new Shenlong box to make up remaining points for the Master pledge.
  6. Please put me down for Master. Looking forward to seeing everyone's work!
  7. Ah, drat. Just a tad too far for me. Thank you for the quick reply, though!
  8. In the US, looking for unpainted metal piglets and stuffed piglets. Please PM with offers, happy to spend a little extra for the buggers.
  9. A Doppelganger hanging out with Coppelius tears out someone's eyes and has to walk around holding them until Johan yells at it.
  10. I named my Stitched and wrote it on their cards. Considered it for other minis, but these are the only ones I felt the affection for enough to do it.
  11. I second the Reaper Gravewailer. My local meta doesn't mind it one bit, it's pretty clear what it is, and it looks great painted up.
  12. That being said, it is still, of course, better in a Colette list.
  13. Ah, now that I think of it, I meant Mannequins for schemes. I get the names mixed up. Being Showgirls, like the Coryphee, that's important for a trick below. Anyways, a Coryphee can be pretty tricky. They're still really hard to pin down, and Vasilisa makes them super fast if you take her upgrade. Like, in your opponent's side of the board on the first turn fast. However, you don't want to over extend, of course. If it gets hit somehow, it's still fragile. It also cannot form the duet, so I usually just take one. It's a hell of a runner. Also, if you take Lazarus you can Assimilate her Dance Partner move for movement shenanigans with Showgirls.
  14. I've been running the same Bag of Props list, and I love it. Collodi is capable of generating a lot of AP, and and attacking with a few stacks of Focus is especially nice. Sometimes I take Marionettes for schemes, and maybe a Coryphee. Every time I've played Bag of Props, Collodi has impressed.
  15. Hey all, Figured there's a slim chance, but I am looking to acquire some mechanical doves to complete my Colette crew. Furthermore, I'd also be interested in Angelica, and the envied Insidious Madness or Widow Weaver. If you happen to have one or a few of these, I'd be happy to make a good offer. Located in the US, I'd also be happy to pay the shipping.
  16. Had a very pleasant transaction with The Exorcist. Minis were packaged very carefully, all fiddly bits accounted for, great asking price.
