  1. Now my app sorts in factions and alphabetical order it seems. Was there going to be an option to have the good old "Henchman/Enforcer/Minion" with keywords first or is this the new way of crew building? If I can change it, I would like to know how.
  2. Ah, right. Thanks. My SPD 11 Goryshche made up for the King's Hand seeing everything and shooting 4 times pr turn.
  3. That's pretty strange. But then again a Commander with a rifle can stand behind King's Hand and shoot at people who can't see him, right? I just played my 2nd game and couldn't find any mention of size. The Titans vary greatly in size, how much terrain can a King's Hand see over, compared to a Goryshche for example? We just played it true LoS kind of.
  4. Sure I've won 8-1 and the game was decided in turn 2 or 3. In my experience, only very uneven games are decided by turn 3, the close ones are decided by the last couple of activations in turn 5.
  5. 1) That's how we played it. Damn that was a lot of shots each turn from that Kingsman Titan shooty robot! My Gorysche came with 1 bite and 1 tail swipe but it all worked out.
  6. Playing... but already have these 2: 1) If a Titan has 3 assets that has a versatile action, can the Titan then take 3 extra actions each turn? 2) Some squads have a "flag" action on their cards but the rules only mention the Commander taking one of those, which leads us to believe the other units can only use that action instead of shooting or other actions? From Focused Effort order for example?
  7. When I construct a crew it now shows keyword, versatile, out of keyword instead of Master, Henchman, Enforcer, Minion. Did the app change or did I do something?
  8. After a few games against Dreamer it's pretty obvious this mechanic is too much. Perhaps fewer models should able to do it, or it should require an actual action AND an 8+ to succeed or something? A crew who has very small chance of dealing only weak damage on a damage flip in turns 4 and 5 is a bit much. Plus it takes time for all those models to exile those cards all the time.
  9. Thanks. I'm UNDEFEATED so far... let's see if that's the case tomorrow night or if I suddenly has as many defeats as wins. I think my opponent has TWICE the number of games under his belt... a total veteran! Stand by for further n00b questions.
  10. Approaching my only second game, I saw Fireteams in the same company can ignore each other for LoS. So a commander can stay behind a friendly unit and shoot at enemies he can see but who can't see him?
  11. Easier said than done with his 4 actions and teleporting. Carrion Emissary easily puts corpse markers on the enemy half as well as providing teleport options.
  12. Ah, there it is. Thanks. So Seamus doesn't even need blocking terrain to be crazy, he can bring his own... that's...fun.
  13. I’m a Henchman and have brought many people into the best game ever, and I can honestly say I think M3E is even better than M2E. I think we can all agree Killjoy’s 4/5/7 or Viks’ 5/6/8 damage tracks were over the top. It’s nice to see that being toned down. Here is where I feel I missed something, pretty much all models now do less damage, and less models ignore armor etc. (Armor actually MEANS something now!) But then there is Seamus: M2E Seamus had 3 actions and could make 1 shot pr turn, doing 4/6/8 damage, that was pretty good even for M2E. Now in M3E, he has 4 actions, can make 1-2 shots pr turn, still doing 4/6/8 damage for no apparent reason but they even decided he should get a couple of decent triggers and last but not least IGNORE HARD TO WOUND to make sure he can get a straight damage flip against all models who can’t use soulstones?! He has access to models who can easily hand him focus and create corpse markers for him. He can teleport whether you can see him or not, and engaging him doesn’t help either. I’ve played him, and played against him, and those games have just not been a lot of fun. New players have asked me if his damage really is 4/6/8 and what they can to about it… I fail to come up with a good answer. Stay behind a forest in the far corner? Grow armor and hug cover so that you might take 2 shots before being squashed instead of 1? I struggle to understand his damage output going up compared to all other models, any advice (except making terrain with no blocking traits at all).
  14. Had a game against Carrion Emissary today. His impassable, blocking coffin markers, are they full blood terrain for Seamus' teleport action? How about Search the ruins? Can he drop some coffins and then put a scheme marker in base on my table half and that's enough?
  15. It sounds like you forgot the "once per activation" of Sensei Yu's aura? And how many "low tomes" do you usually have?
  16. This might come as a shock but I DO know the rules for distracted (and the game in general). I often push enemy models. 6" push is fantastic, along with getting that scheme marker ½" away from the centerline or away from terrain to make their scheme a bit harder to pull off. Killing stuff is always great but it won't necessarily win the game, which is why I like to use Shenlong for more than just kicking things. He works fine without Distracted for me, the power is in the damage flip, hitting things is no problem.
  17. I never put distracted on shenlong. If you do, you have to do the fermented river style and I'd like to swap to whichever suits me better. I use wandering a lot, then suddenly swap to low river to heal a friend etc.
  18. If Perdita (or similar) charges The Captain, does middle of the storm reduce damage, or will her attacks no longer count as because of gunfighter?
  19. People who can't agree might be thinking of the beta? Back then you could get +2 hand size from reservoir. Now it shouldn't spark much debate.
  20. Which explains his very poor healing ability!
  21. It seems you scored VP in turn 1? That's impossible in M3E.
  22. I guess I should tell YOU about them then... First: Your opponent knows what you are playing and can plan schemes accordingly, which means scoring schemes in turn 4 (if possible). Second: Even if your opponent goes ahead and scores for scheme in turn 2, you will get pass tokens starting from turn 3! That's the EARLIEST you get a load of pass tokens, which means turn 1 and 2 are more even, and only if schemes are scored in turn 2 because your opponent decides he can't wait. So unlike against Aionus, there is something you can do here. There is a big difference from initiative turn 2+3+4+5 being automatically lost to only turn 4+5.
  23. My last game he summoned a cheap model, unburied it, buried it, then unburied it again because he had nothing better to do with Aionus that turn. You don't need to have 3 models buried. I've played against Tara/Aionus a handful of times now, 2 different opponents playing him differently. Common is: they always rule ini and dictate corrupted idol placement. And yeah I agree different masters are good at different strats/schemes, which is fine. I just dislike a mechanic where you get precious pass tokens with no effort. As I said: put in a TN and remove the built in crow and he is good to go.
  24. I often see Aionus made fast. REMEMBER, even if he's standing in his own deployent zone the entire game, he can unbury ENEMY models too (and still get 2 pass tokens), and that enemy is then unburied in the middle of scheme markers or a bunch of swords. Aionus doesn't really NEED to move a lot. I see the point with him "not doing much else" but I would like to see him actually having a TN on that action and not a built in trigger. Everyone else has to do something for their pass tokens (like hit an enemy with the correct suit), he doesn't care what he flips, he actually hopes to burn some crappy cards while guaranteeing ini for the next turn.
  25. Played corrupted idols against Tara today. Needless to say he had +5 or +6 on ini every turn because of Aionus who succeed INCL. trigger on even a black joker(?). I know some people justify the 2 pass tokens with his ability to spend them but that action should at least require say, a 7, and without the built in crow IMO. At least leverage requires schemes to be revealed so it's turn 3 at the EARLIEST, whereas Aionus just craps out pass tokens effortlessly from turn 1. If it wasn't guaranteed I think it would feel less brain farty compared to others who can gain pass tokens here and there?
