  1. Ha! Not really my choice of colors, but I was just copying the box arts. Yes, Carver heads could be magnetized just fine. Just be sure you have small diameter magnets. I have used 1*1. 2mm diam is about as large as you can squeeze in there. Glad you like them. Still have Collodi in the box and Nico crew on the paint table. Thanks guys.
  2. It’s been a while... Mr.Pumkin and Mr.Woolsack are coming. Not sure I got the heads the way I wanted to, but they somehow provided a lot of challenge to me.

Hi! Contest: Rotting Harvest 2016 Category: Witches and Warlocks Manufacturer: Kabuki Studios(Models) Name: Halloween Girl
  4. Thanks for the nice comments!
  5. The Lilliths look is just terrific, never seen her painted so clear and detailed. Her sculpt detailing is a bit on the soft side making her hard to paint. Say, do you use any sort of magnifying glasses\goolges\visors? My eyesight is 100% but I cant imagine how this level of detailing could be achieved, not to speak about techique itself.
  6. Well I dunno. I just started using 60ml bottles. All the previous ones(and plenty like 5 or7) were 17ml. And I notice the difference in smell and consistency. However I just finished 25 metals for SAGA primed from the 60ml and everything still was fine. However I havent rubbed it for a purpose for sure. Look, there is a differnce in a way it works. The normal hardware store primer is designed to literally penetrate and grip the surface. The Vallejo one is not. It makes a resin layer on a surface which is like more "whole and even". It's finer then the regular primer is and it's less to obscure the details. Some would say it's even more like undercoat then a primer. But again the grip to the plastic is much better then to the metal and it's hadly coming off. What pressure do you use? Do you dillute it? I spray it almost from the pot, maybe 10% of water, no more. And the pressure is about 15psi.
  7. I have a model which I primered white brushing it on. Since it's white, i overflooded it a bit trying to get more coverage. Since I lost some details I wanted to wash it out and reprime. NO MATTER which fluid I sucked it in for days (spirits, chlorine, various home cleaners, brake fluid even maybe white spirit), the thing doesnt come off. And I rubbed it with brush while wet. Acetone probably would work but the model is plastic.... Well, I brush it on. I airbrush it on. Works equally well. It sticks better to the plastic then to the metal. There are two rules I follow. When airbrushing don't try to get coverage from the first two coats. Apply them really misty having a couple of minutes between them. The third one will cover everything and you'll see that you spent less primer then trying to cover from the first coat. I usually end up with 4 layers with the last being grey over black. Paint the model next night, or two, or three. That is it. But it still will chip from the metal when falling on a floor. And it doesnt like sanding when it comes to other plastics than the minis. One more thing. The stuff in the dropper bottle smells and feels a bit different than in bigger ones. Like it has more resin maybe... The bigger bottles feel more close the the gesso. However according to Vallejo it's the same stuff just in different bottles.
  8. Oh, I see thanks. No, just picked up Waldgeists and was thinking upfront. 4 probably would be enought considering I have 2 more of Lilliths.
  9. This thread is kinda old but still. Does it make sence to make 6 markers for the 3 of Waldgeists?
  10. Got one too. What are these for? Just an Ad or they could be used in game?
  11. Well, after a long time did Graves and Nekima.
  12. Seen this tutorial last year in your blog, very nice! Thanks!
  13. Nekima and Graves which I plan to sqeeze in autamn. I've also got Nicodem box, but I dont have plans for it currently.
  14. Thank you! Very nice to hear! I screwed tots and Lillith a bit but pretty much happy about nephilims and cherub.
  15. Hi everybody, finally made some pictures of my Lillith crew which I painted last year. Sorry for some picture quality issues, it's the best I could get from my current camera. Hope to paint Nekima and Mr. Graves in some near future.
  16. Sounds like a good plan. Thanks. I'll check it out. My main concern now is to have someone to play. My friend has kinda lost some of his interest. I just hope temporarily.
  17. I was afraid to hear something different! Thanks.
  18. Sorry for the simple question but I just noticed. The ranage of Barbaros attacks is 2". The range for the Samael's tools of trade 1". I read clear in the manual that if I attack Samael from 2" both models would be engaged. But does it mean he can use his tools of the trade from 2" too?
  19. You know, it's a bit too much to suffer 3 dmg to make 1. There is only slight possibility to use it and the enemy model have to be exeptionaly tough. But still, interesting.
  20. Woa! Kinda unexpected! The errata makes Nexus of Power to cure only 1 wound and I would never have read that any model including friendly which activates in engagement range must pass a duel without your help in Fears given form. Thanks. No, no Crossroads yet. It was only released in digital and I'm yet to buy it, however I have the flie with the stats and upgrades for the wave 2. Mimic's blessing sure has it ways, one more to consider and make the choice harder, especially when both previous updates has showed its weaknesses.
  21. Nice idea, thanks! SInce the rules are calling for the 35SS model arsenal in the begining of the campaign I would expect him to take Hopkins and 5 stalkers. Or Hopkins, Lone Marshall and 3 stalkers. To prevent the situatin where the stalkers give the presents in form of burning condition and Samael standing in the center as a fortified turret, It might be worth a try to shut him up right from the start and the pair Mature\Barbaros looks to be up to that while 3 Tots would run the errants. Horror duel + Challenge should give nice defencive result until Hopkins is dead.Especially when most of his models will rely on Sh and trigger horror duel at least to suck the cards from his hand. I'm only torn between the upgrades, Nexus of Power to help Barboros keep shape or Fears Given Form to have him some serious punch?
  22. Looks like we're going to start the campaign this weekend I talked about earlier. At least we would like to. But after reading the beta rules a couple of times all I had left is some headache and confusion. We're only two players actually seeking some linked games to keep us motivated to play more frequently and to toy around with some injures\promotions and still learn the game. The rules look more than two players oriented and it looks like with more than one game per week in mind. So I started to doubt if the system would work if we're intended to have 4-5 games total. Maybe it's better to take previous simplier system which was published in Chronicles 5? If someone could advice on this it would be great. As to keep the thread on topic, since the start of the campaign is meant for the 25SS crews, it still be Barbaros vs. Samael. However I will consider pretty hard, maybe it's worth to loose an activation and take a mature nephilim instead of two young, at least I would have an option to ambush Hopkings while waiting to acuire Lillith into my crew after a game or two/
  23. Ok, thank for the input. Lot's of things to think about and consider. I have to study the abilities of my models better. We're thinking to start out a small campaign in near future to keep us motivated to play more and learn. The new system look cool.
