So I picked up the nightmare edition Whiskey Golem at GenCon this year. Is there an instruction sheet for this guy because that is a LOT of little plastic bits on that sprue...
I'd say that yes. It's a different clause of the ability:
1. All friendly pigs are pushed toward the target.
2. Any pigs in base contact after all pigs that are able to move have done so may make an attack action.
I too expected the stereotypical redneck in a straw hat and overalls, this is a much older looking gremlin than I had expected (and is that a peg leg?). It's not what I thought he'd be, but I like it.
I've yet to find a copy of Building of Malifaux, but my FLGS (in Fort Worth, TX) had both Streets and Sewers the last time I was in. I already have both sets so I didn't check pricing, but I could do so if anybody wanted me to look for them.
Which episode has the character generation bits? I listened to some of ep 70 on my way into work this morning and it mentioned them, but I got to work before they aired. Is it in a previous episode?
It's absolutely normal (and almost expected) for players and GMs and groups as a whole to come up with new content for their tables. One of the many, many great aspects of tabletop roleplaying games is coming up with fun new stuff that noone else has ever heard of.
Dallas ya say? Well howdy neighbor! I'm over in Fort Worth, myself. While I'm sure there are people who own Malifaux, I'm not sure there are a lot who play it.
Based on my own experience running pick up games at previous GenCons: just pick a time that works for you and others then figure out what hotel lobby or convention center space you'd like to meet up in to play. I love off-the-radar games!
When I asked about the book's availability a few weeks ago, GenCon was still a "definite maybe". If they have it, I'm getting a copy but even then I likely won't have the time to read the entire thing and become a master of rules before the pickup game.
From what I (a non-Kickstarter backer) have gathered here in this forum, it may or may not be available at GenCon as it may not have shipped to KS backers by that time. Which is fair and understandable. The people who already paid for it should be the ones who get it first. Though yeah, I would love to see a demo or something.
I am very recently come to the Malifaux world and thus completely missed the Kickstarter, is there any chance the book(s?) will be available at GenCon this year? I'm already planning on giving Wyrd a lot of my money, a little more couldn't hurt!
