  1. And with both Barbaros and the Queen active, he would be much less breakable than usual.
  2. This is a totally different box, but I think that Envy will be truly scary with Titania. Zillions of scheme markers, and she has that challenge like ability that will make it even more difficult for people to get to him.
  3. I think you will definitely want to try and manage this sort of synergy with it for it to be worthwhile. After all, it is 2ss and took an upgrade slot. You need to get more out of it than if you just took the model you were thinking of getting and spent another 2ss on it. Depending on the price range that can be quite a jump in effectiveness on its own.
  4. Not really. If you had something with crummy defenses you just needed to plink to death I guess you could. Oh, and it is tactical only, so the paralyze on the sorrow is actually a no go. Alas!
  5. Interesting. Going the Pandora crew route, they could also copy Paranormal Activity off the Poltergeist. Edit: Where's Teddy? would also fit into a general WP attack crew...
  6. Another bonus for Zoraida lists, or rather Eternal Bad Juju, is that they are cheap and annoying and swampfiends. People will definitely try to kill them.
  7. On the card or an upgrade. I think they were pretty careful in making sure you could not in fact spam actions from a single model this way.
  8. A model may only be targeted by the action once per turn. So you get to copy an action from a given model once per turn, no matter how many you hire.
  9. Nope. That would require targeting Zoraida twice with the action, which is not allowed.
  10. A model can only be targeted by this once per turn. So one wisp could summon one doll, but if you want any more dolls Zoraida will have to summon them. And you could still only have one doll at a time on the table, because the summon action sacrifices all other friendly totems. Wisps do also buff Z by letting you place a scheme marker when a model fails a Wp duel, say against an Obey.
  11. Having seen the card now, there is nothing preventing Nekima from being Champion.
  12. I'm going to start off by saying that I haven't tried this, and I think that you are making things harder for yourself by playing summoning dreamer into collect the bounty. If you are determined to go into this with Dreams of Pain then I think I would summon Lilitu first turn and keep her tucked out of sight, then focus heavily on summoning Stitched. Use them recklessly. If one of them gets down to one wound and you think they can kill it easily to score a point and go ahead on bounty, attack something with Gamble and lose deliberately so that it kills itself and doesn't give up a point. Buy good scheme runners like Silurids to start so that you don't have to summon in Madnesses on low wounds unless the terrain is such that you are sure you can hide them. But recognize that you are really setting yourself up for a tough match up by going this route.
  13. Although for Recon and Interference we have Dreamer. Collodi won't be a bad choice if you don't want to run Dreamer, but really... Dreamer.
  14. That was how we played it, but it seemed like such an odd result that I wanted to check and confirm. I think Kirai switches the target entirely. I know Dreamer does. Marcus does as well, but has specific language preventing you from reflecting the attack back on itself. So I think we played it correctly, it was just... odd.
  15. This situation came up in a game last night Carrion Emissay is Obeyed to attack Kirai. Kirai uses her defensive trigger to switch the target of the attack to a nearby friendly spirit. In this case, back onto the Emissary. There is no language in Kirai's trigger saying it must be a legal target, so we played this as allowed (and the Emissary ended up killing itself). Was this correct?
  16. I think with a cache of 4 and Aether Connection she will be pretty hard to bring down even for a big beater. Assuming plenty of access to ways of getting scheme markers down (and if that is not true her whole concept falls apart) then I can see her being pretty resilient. Hard to take down in a single activation and then able to rapidly heal back up. I agree about the Wp duels. Anything that activates off of Wp and/or makes duels harder to pass will be solid. I'm definitely getting her in the GenCon sale and will be looking forward to getting her on the table. I think that Envy and Performer will both do well with her. Edit: I also think as a whole NB players tend not to take Mysterious Effigy as often as they should. It is a great 4ss activation and that non-defense-trigger push away from an attack can be a life saver.
  17. Or you have a bunch of enemies clumped up in a melee or the like. I'm not sure that it would be useful every game, but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for it now.
  18. I checked on that. It doesn't, because the Stitched card specifies an Attack Action. Note that it does not need to be an enemy attack action, but it does need to be an Attack.
  19. I can see some very interesting implications for this... the possibility to bring the twins in on top of something and ping it for two damage before accomplicing into one of them has some real possibilities. Could be a nice way of getting rid of a HtK model late game, since by turn 4 Lelu is frequently dead and I am often contemplating summoning him back. If I could summon him back and black blood a cluster of models at the same time that would be pretty appealing.
  20. Well, it was overlooked by me at least. I noticed this morning that summoned nightmares do not come in on one wound, which is how I always thought of them. Instead they come in on full health and then suffer damage sufficient to bring them to one wound. Which means effects like Black Blood and Rotten Contents should trigger when they are summoned, given that there is no text on the card saying they should be ignored. If correct this opens up some interesting possibilities with those summons that I've been missing, as well as meaning you need to be more careful where you bring them in. Is common knowledge to everyone but me, or maybe there is a rule that prevents it?
  21. Happy to say we can go ahead and close this topic out. Thanks Wyrd!
  22. That was written very much tongue-in-cheek. Dreamer is such a good summoner that being out-summoned just can't be right.
  23. I didn't really have RatJoy in mind when I was noodling this out. My hope, and obviously you are in a good position to judge if it would work at all, is to make Levi/Viks/A&D/Rogue Necro/omgwtfbbq spend ap killing gupps in their own zone rather than murdering key models in mine. I freely acknowledge that it is theorycrafting and I will not be surprised in the slightest if it fails. But until there is some sort of errata this build is going to keep showing up, so unless we all switch to Outcasts until that happens we need to keep trying to think of solutions.
