  1. Comfortably. I can do more. How many do you need?
  2. Just to say I am of the same opinion as everyone else. Format good (as long as options for drop outs to play) money bad. I am not going to lie and say I definitely wouldn't attend, but it makes me uncomfortable and I am worried about becoming too serious and a dick myself
  3. I have to be honest and say I am not dead set against it. The issue of annoying people is only really an issue if it's a surprise and the point of this thread is that it's not. I also think having the nationals winner get in is not so much of a big deal because it's pretty unlikely they haven't qualified anyway (would have been mint for the swedes though!) I have a couple of issues though. Firstly the other GTs need to spread through the year to maximise attendance. Guaranteed entry to the masters would make it basically less exciting for those players for the rest of the year. Secondly it might also make it more likely that people turn down their tickets because of travel and I feel that a high number of drop outs undermines the masters. However when is all is said and done I think provides a good comprise between the masters being a winner of winner event and the status quo. If it does inspire more people to attend the regional GTs that would also be great, just for inspiring faux but also to make the UK a bit more interactive with different regions. (a Scottish contingent is thinking of trying to get to the English Gt)
  4. Makes so many qualify though. I liked the free ticket to the nationals though?
  5. Piglets with Relic hammer changes a sub par minion to something that charges for 1 ap with cg 8 ml rng 3, ml 6. If it began its activation near old major it got positive to attack and damage for its charge actions. Need to make it an enforcer first but it was just silly brutal once you had it
  6. It was also based on the the story scenarios from the rule book
  7. Good right up. I agree that the rules should have been non-peon. Having seen that neither of the strats specified non-peon I couldn't resist having a swarm of mindless zombies and seishin, particularly after they had done so well in the rest of the day for me. I did feel a little bad afterwards though. #filthmerchant
  8. In reply to comments regarding attendance at story encounters: http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/113544-twas-the-night-before-christmas-event/#comment-913709 The rankings exist in Scotland. Scotland has some highly ranked players. Still fantastic turnout for their non ranked events. Ergo player demand and not the rankings which has caused lack of support for story encounters.
  9. Any chance for an updated list of attendees and updates for the Masters please? I am leaving end of next week for Christmas, won't be back until the new year and I don't know whether I'll be able to get online much during that time so I would like to know if I need to book a hotel etc. before then if possible.
  10. I really enjoy the group stages I would really hate to lose them
  11. space for 5 is intense, in fairness
  12. Seems very sensible to me, I'll try and attend as many as possible
  13. 20 works for me. Going back to what James Doxey said about the idea of the rankings encouraging people to attend events does make me feel that the master getting a free spot isn't ideal, but I don't have strong views on this.
  14. agreed. If we stick with status quo we have still gained ideas on how to improve attendance of story events and more.
  15. Frame for murder in close deployment is pretty mint
