  2. Gonna go into a bit of detail on conditions in general, but hopefully I will cover all your questions, and all other questions a simple answer would spawn. Blight, is a condition that does nothing on it own other than exist. Certain abilities interact with Blighted models differently than they do non-blighted models (these abilities will say such). As I am not a Hamlin player (nor have I played against him since 1E) I can not give you any specifics. I can give you an example of Brilliance since it is the closest thing. Illuminated (a 7 point Ten Thunder / Neverborn model), have a melee attack. That attack specifies that against models with Brilliance it does +2 Damage. Look for abilities that mention targets having Blight. Blight is a condition (just like poison, burning, slow, fast, reactivate, brilliance, ect). Poison goes away one point at a time as you take damage from it. Burning is the same but all at once, however the basic rule book specifically gives models the option to use actions to remove burning. In the case of Brilliance, it also goes away at the end of the turn (it is part of the conditions description on the cards that inflict it). There should be a similar description on Blight on the models that inflict it. That description will tell you when (and if) it ends naturally. There is no basic ability to remove conditions other than Burning, unless it is specifically outlined in the conditions description (such as the Distract condition from the mission of the same name). However almost all conditions may be removed by models that have actions that state they remove conditions. Examples include, but are not limited to: Witchling Stalkers, Monks of the Low River, and Chiaki the Niece. It is also worth noting that some models interact with conditions differently than others. Lenny (Gremlins) is immune to all conditions, both positive and negative. Hamlin, when he would receive a condition, can choose not to do so. Shenlong (Ten Thunders) can be affected by conditions as normal, but will never directly take damage from them.
  3. With the Night Terrors, there is only Jakuna left on the Spirit front. Good times for Kirai.
  4. Our 2nd league of the year has ended, thanks to those who showed up. Our next league will start up on 4/6, I will be posting a thread with more details in the near future. Demos, friendly games, and planned events continue to be the norm. So, if you want a pickup game, or would like to learn how to play, come on down. I am there almost all day on Wednesdays.
  5. Oh, just a heads up. They make those base kits both in resin and plastic. The resin ones are the same price, but come with half the number of bases.
  6. The best base inserts I have ever used (and probably the cheapest too), can be found here: https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/bases-2?p=1 Its a bit messy to navigate, but they have tons of styles of 30, 40, and 50mm bases. Each 30mm kit comes with 10 different sculpts of the selected style. Then there will be a 40/50 kit that comes with 6 different 40s and 1 50mm. I liked them so much I ordered extra sets of Graveyard, Trash, and Mystic bases to use as corpse, scrap, and scheme markers.
  7. Whoops. Did not even realize I was posting in the PW thread. Just came in from the front page . My bad.
  8. I have never heard of Lucius, Hooded Rider, or Viktoria having alternate models. There are 2 different special Teddy models. Nightmare version and Miss version.
  9. Abbazabba1920 has it right. That will also matter is you ever go up against Shenlong, as he is immune to damage from conditions but not conditions themselves.
  10. I am assuming that some of this may change with the new Governor General? Especially since I the weird mage guy won the vote (he did right?). Really curious about where the story is going to go and how this will effect the TT and TTB.
  11. Just throwing it out there that Izamu becomes even more of a powerhouse than he already is when paired with Kirai. Swirl Spirits and the Adversary condition really power him up. I have also had really good results out of running Chiaki and / or Toshiro with Kirai. Chiaki is just a great support piece (remove conditions + healing + handing out slow). Toshiro buffs all those minions Kirai summons and can make use of those corpse markers that she will not be using.
  12. Been a bit busy around here. But I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still available for demos. Also, check out the announcement for our new league here: http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/115414-february-24th-50ss-league-coliseum-of-comics-kissimmee-fl/

  14. I hope we can get alternate sculpts of 3 other Ancestors to cover the other 3 gods. That would be an awesome alternate Yan Lo theme.
  15. Can we get a shirt promoting the removal of Gremlins as a faction?
  16. I will do my best to make it. Also spreading the info to my Kissimmee group one last time.
  17. I hope everyone has had a good time these past few months. On top of out usual demos, we are kicking off our first official event of 2016. Details can be found here: 50ss League

  19. I am just going to add Star Wars Armada to the list. It is fairly well balanced from what I have seen / played. Though the fact that the game is less than a year old probably help. But who doesn't like evil space triangles?
  20. Well, our campaign has ended. We don't have any more specific events planned for this year, but I will still be available for demos.
  21. Well, the event has come to an end (after waiting for a couple stragglers to get me their results ) Gremlins came out on top overall with Neverborn not far behind. Thank you everyone who participated. We don't have any big events planned for December due to the holidays, but I am planning some things for next year. I will still be running demos though, you can check out the demo thread here: http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/112620-malifaux-demos-at-coliseum-of-comics-kissimmee-florida/
  22. The thing is, the vast majority of game stores do not deal directly with companies. They instead deal with distributors that stock those companies items, and then deliver them to stores upon request. It just is not feasible for stores to go through this process and get all the benefits from temporary releases like this.
  23. Actually, I am not much of a fan of gore myself, so I used these as my Toshiro and Yin: http://taleofwar.com/epages/0101d31f-8420-4760-9003-267c5a9cb1f5.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/0101d31f-8420-4760-9003-267c5a9cb1f5/Products/TOWAL0017 http://www.bushido-thegame.com/catalog/harionago How is that Toshiro proxy, scale-wise, to the rest of the army? Toshiro happens to possibly be the only model in Ten Thunders I actively dislike the look of (amazing rules though), so I've been searching for a proxy myself. Personally I'm just not a fan of zombie stuff. Demons, spirits I'm fine with. He is about the same size as the actual Toshiro model and fits nicely on a 40mm base.
  24. Well, you can always pick up the Crossroads Seven. The only thing better than an organ, is a walking spider mech organ with gatling guns.
  25. Illuminated alongside Toshiro are pretty awesome. + flips to attack, and Toshiro can give them fast with War Fan. If you give the Illuminated fast, they can shoot a target with their ranged attack to hand out brilliance, and still charge to take full advantage of it. As for Yin. She is every bit both Resser and TT as the other Ancestors, they are all based on Asian lore and the undead. Toshiro is a zombie and a damiyo, Izamu is a disembodied suit of samurai armor. And Yin is based on the Malaysian vampire, the Penanggalan. Oh no, I know what it is, I knew before. Which I think the first time I really learned about them was that animated Hell Boy movie when he fought Thunder and Lightning? Lots of oriental myths drawn in for that one. But still, she's very... gutsy. I mean sure, Toshiro is dead, and looks it, but until he is painted it's easier to write him off as not dead. And Izamu is basically kid-friendly style undead, no gore or anything Either way, Yin is the stand out gore-monster, which isn't a problem, just a.. thing that stands out strongly, outside of Ressers, I feel. As for O&F and Rurouni, thanks for sharing! I noticed you both seem to really like Brutal and Reliquary? Do you not like the upgrade that adds his Chi to defenses on Tome? Just curious if it's a personal interest, or you think it's simply stronger, or perhaps for synergy in your crew composition? I'm also curious, since you seem to take Reliquary, is this used more like insurance against someone dying too quick? Or does it entirely change up your play style so you can play very recklessly with the Ancestors, potentially letting them die and then bringing them back after causing havoc? I would like to take Emissary with Conflux and Reliquary. But mostly because I love the Emissary, so I would love to bring it back if it dies, it's such a cool model, and amazing looking abilities. Actually, I am not much of a fan of gore myself, so I used these as my Toshiro and Yin: http://taleofwar.com/epages/0101d31f-8420-4760-9003-267c5a9cb1f5.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/0101d31f-8420-4760-9003-267c5a9cb1f5/Products/TOWAL0017 http://www.bushido-thegame.com/catalog/harionago
