  1. The only restriction there are on a chain activation, is the fact that you can only activate two in one turn. Other then that, I see no reason why you should not be able to use companion two times with reactivation.
  2. I will start out by saying that it is a really nice mini! But you might want to be a bit careful of not relaying to much on the airbrush in the beginning, and learn some basic techniques with a normal brush first. This video explains some of the problems with the airbrush: Although I am not as negative about airbrush as this guy, his points are still valid- if you look at your model, you can see small grainy texture all over the model(that is what makes the model look like a toy), and that is what you really need to be careful with. Later you can use the airbrush for certain effects, but using it on the whole model can be a bit of a negative thing later on. So pick up your brush, and learn to use the "basic" brush techniques like glazing, wet blend, layering etc Of course this is a major debate in the painting community, and there will most likely be a lot of people that will disagree with me. But this is just my humble opinion, and me trying to help a new guy like yourself to at least know how it is. So you might not want to follow my advice, but at least you are informed about it now ^^
  3. I was wondering... have you actually read the books, and read about Neverborn- what they are etc? This is not to sound condescending in any way, but I just have a very different view about the Neverborn then what it seems like you have
  4. I dont know if this is a stretch, but this is from the FAQ: Q: If a model moves (or is Pushed, Falls, is Placed, etc) 0” (zero inches), does it count as having moved? A: No. Same answer for Pushing, Falling, Placement, etc. The point is that if you move zero inches, it does not count as a move...
  5. For those that dont understand Clement- Neither fast nor slow stack as they have no +number, so if you get fast two times in a row you would simply loose the second fast
  6. A good start for an alternative crew would be a swampfiend crew, you should try to read these two threads for more info: http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/99513-waldgeist/ http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/99691-the-bad-juju-thread/ In the last thread about the Bad Juju, I have also written a short Batrep so you can understand the tacics behind it a bit more
  7. That is very much true, I had it removed from Mctavish in the game to give it to Lilith. Just forgot to remove it from Mctavish on the list
  8. Ah dont know why I still had it on Mctavish, I had removed it from him to give it to Lilith
  9. With armor +2 and regen +2 together with hard to wound, you need a dedicated beat-stick to kill him though
  10. This is my first Batrep and it was actually just meant as a comment about Bad Juju, but ended up a bit longer, so I thought I would just post it here aswell Neverborn Crew - 50 - Scrap Lilith -- 4 Pool +Beckon Malifaux [1] +Living Blade [2] +Fear Given form [1] Cherub [3] Bad Juju [8] +Eternal Fiend [2] +Fears Given Form [1] McTavish [11] +Hexed Among You [1] Silurid [7] Waldgeist [6] Waldgeist [6] Vs a Nicodem crew with Dead Rider, 2 Belles, 2Dogs and a few other models I cant remember :/ I used Lilith Tangle Shadows in combination with a forward deployed Silurid with Hexed Among you, and got my Bad Juju in the middle of the enemy in round one. He was not able to attack, as he used both his AP on walk, but I had 3 of his main models in melee range and could use his 0 that hit all the models, giving them slow and 2dmg. To my big surprise he was able to tank very efficiently, and although he had no living models so his terrifying did not do much, it was still a pain for my opponent to activate beside him with Fears Given Form- if they also had to make horror duels it would have been even more nasty. I won the initiative and killed his Dead Rider with flurry, used his 0 again that hit the last two models yet again. I had meanwhile gotten Lilith in melee range with his master Nicodem, and although I could not kill him with his wall of undead and minions that gave him 2+ armor etc. I ended up locking down almost his entire team with just Bad Juju and Lilith. He then killed both Lilith and Bad Juju in turn 4, but at this point I had also killed half his team, and used all the other models to freely place scheme markers. The match ended 7-3 to me. Quick thoughts: Cherub was more or less useless. Bad Juju is both able to tank and give a lot of damage, and his 0 is surprisingly useful. Silurids are really amazing at placing scheme markers, and leaping out of engagement. This was my first match with them, but they seem really worth every SS. I need to try this list a bit more, but so far I am extremely pleased with this crew, and I am loving Bad Juju more and more ^^ I am still not sure if this crew would work even better with Zoraida instead on Lilith, but I am going to try more or less the same list with Zoraida another time.
  11. I just won a game with this crew: Neverborn Crew - 50 - Scrap Lilith -- 4 Pool +Beckon Malifaux [1] +Living Blade [2] +Fear Given form [1] Cherub [3] Bad Juju [8] +Eternal Fiend [2] +Fears Given Form [1] McTavish [11] +Hexed Among You [1] Silurid [7] Waldgeist [6] Waldgeist [6] Vs a Nicodem crew with Dead Rider, 2 Belles, 2Dogs and a few other models I cant remember :/ I used Lilith Tangle Shadows in combination with a forward deployed Silurid with Hexed Among you, and got my Bad Juju in the middle of the enemy in round one. 12. Can you leap out of an engagement? - I play with some very aggressive players that like to be in my face on round two, so anything that can get me out of engagement is very importent
  13. Hey Joel! I was looking at exactly what you were thinking in this list: Lilith +Beckon Malifaux [1] +Living Blade [2] +Wicked Mistress [1] Cherub [3] Bad Juju [8] +Eternal Fiend [2] +Fears Given Form [1] McTavish [11] +Fears Given Form [1] +Hexed Among You [1] Waldgeist [6] Waldgeist [6] At this point I still have 7SS to use, and I am a bit unsure why I would use those points on a Silurid over another Waldergeist, or dropping the "Fear given form" from Mctavish and get two Terror Tots. The big reason to not get two Terror Tots is Bad Juju, as I want to get as many possibilities for him to get back into the game as possible... But I simply dont understand Silurids, and definitely not for 7ss- what would make Silurids worth the 7SS compared to fx just getting another Waldergeist for 6SS?
  14. Alright so this is what I think im going to buy: Miniatures: http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/wyrd-miniatures/malifaux/the-neverborn/mother-of-monsters/prod_23657.html http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/wyrd-miniatures/malifaux/the-neverborn/nephilim-3-/prod_24266.html 30mm http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/scibor-miniatures/bases/round-bases/ancient-ruins-30mm-round-edge-set1-3-/prod_13626.html http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/scibor-miniatures/bases/round-bases/ancient-ruins-30mm-round-edge-set2-3-/prod_13627.html 50mm http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/scibor-miniatures/bases/round-bases/ancient-ruins-50mm-round-edge-2/prod_13631.html http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/scibor-miniatures/bases/round-bases/ancient-ruins-50mm-round-edge-1/prod_13630.html 40mm http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/scibor-miniatures/bases/round-bases/ancient-ruins-40mm-round-edge-set1-2-/prod_13628.html http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/scibor-miniatures/bases/round-bases/ancient-ruins-40mm-round-edge-set2-2-/prod_13629.html I would love to get you guys opinion on the bases, I tried to find something that would fit with a Lilith theme- but as I have not read all the fluff yet I am not 100% sure. My thought was that she is one of the oldest Neverborn, and knows most of the secrets in Malifaux, and would feel most at home in all the ruins in the forest? - and sorry about my english, had a bit of a problem explaining my thoughts for some reason ^^
  15. As an indirect request from Joel, I thought it would be nice if this awsome model had his own awsome thread, where we can post all of the awsome crew lists and stuff we know about him... because he is awsome But seeing as I am still very much a noob with the Neverborn, I am going to leave it up to all of you awsome guys! ... and I furthermore promis not to use the word awsome anymore in this thread ^^
  16. Well yeah, all M2E stuff are plastic- but I think there are a few 1.5 plastic aswell though - but you can see the list of neverborn M2E stuff here: http://wyrd-games.net/shop/M2e-Neverborn/
  17. I want to start buying some neverborn stuff, and have decided to start out with Lilith. But other then the starting box, I have no clue what to buy, so can anyone help me with what I should get? - I only want M2E stuff though
  18. And thanks for the link Rgarbonzo, but I think I have already read everything in that blog ^^
  19. Thanks for all the great answers! I have a bit of a bromance going on with Mctavish and his shooting into melee ability- I have very good experience with taking a tank up the map, and have Mctavish shoot at them while they are tied to the tank The Gracie and Lenny combo is awsome, but I keep them for my Wong list with glowy etc. I think the Whiskey Golem is the better choice with Ophelia. What about this list: Gremlins Crew - 50 - Scrap Ophelia LaCroix -- 5 Pool +Dirty Cheater [1] Bayou Gator [5] Bayou Gremlin [3] Bayou Gremlin [3] Francois LaCroix [7] +Dirty Cheater [1] McTavish [10] Merris LaCroix [6] Whiskey Golem [10] +Angry Drunk [2] And I am not locking myself into just this list, I just like to have some lists ready when I am new to a master. When I then start to understand them, I can be a lot more creative with the models
  20. I will start out by apologising for starting so many threads, but I hope other people can get some use out of my threads aswell ^^ I have never played with Ophelia nor have a ever played with a pure dmg master, so I was hoping you guys could help me out with some generel ideas for lists etc. So far I am thinking of trying this list: Gremlins Crew - 50 - Scrap Ophelia LaCroix -- 3 Pool +Dirty Cheater [1] Young LaCroix X 2 [4] Bayou Gremlin [3] Bayou Gremlin [3] Francois LaCroix [7] +Dirty Cheater [1] Lenny [9] McTavish [10] Whiskey Golem [10] +Angry Drunk [2] Bayou for schemes, Whiskey Golem to act as a "tank" to help out Mctavish. I thought about using "Ooo, A Girl" to drag around Lenny to get auto Thinking luck and some extra protection.
  21. Just looked at the "out for blood" upgrade- a ram and a tome to get a charge, that seems a bit much? But thanks for all the comments, im slowly starting to understand her can you awsome guys try to post a normal crew you would use with her? - and correct me if im wrong, but she seems to be a melee master with a lot of movement tricks and a bit more defence instead of just pure damage. So she might not do as much damage, but she will survive longer?
  22. I have never seen any actual dicussion about this model, and when I look at her I just feel kinda... "meeh". I really loved the idea about her when I first read about a melee gremlin master, but when I read her finished version I simply dont understand the model. Low dmg profile, and nothing really special- I did like the upgrade to get Diving Charge, but thats about it. So can someone please explain what I am not seeing, how do you play with this girl? ^^
  23. Thanks for correcting my spelling Joel- english is not my first language nor my second language, so mistakes happen Im sorry you dont appreciate my swearing though, but I rather like the phrase being "fucked", as it discripes the predicament quite well in very few words - And thanks, its been a long time since I won so it was a very needed change ^^
  24. Played a game with the list, and got a win But I got some quick questions: 1. Can I charge with the Waldergeist, stop 4inches away and use the zero ability to get a 4inch reach before attacking? 2. Can I deploy anyhting other then minions with "Hexed among you"- meaning no enforcer or henchman? 3. If I need to place the three models in the deployment face... im pretty fucked if I dont win the flip and make him deplay first? ^^
  25. Im also not sure how to use the Germinate ability on the Waldergeist- Can he use the 4inch attack through the 50mm marker, making it even harder for the enemy to retaliate. Or are they NOT able to use the 4inch melee attack through the markers, so I simply place them behind the Waldergeist to buff them?
