  1. Exemplary. I particularly like how you've brought out the yellows; it always takes me hours to get them halfway decent. Keep it up!
  2. Ok. Just picked up the Rail Crew earlier this week. The minis are great, and the plastic is a cinch to work with! I tried out the gravel quarry base with Sue, and decided it looked like rubbish. I think I'm just going to fall back on my greenstuff cobblestone standby. Also, I can't remember where I read this, but someone pointed out that Mei looks more like she's kicking through a wooden ceiling, rather than busting out through a wooden floor head-first. I can't un-see it now, and that basically renders my conundrum moot. Will update with pics once I've got the basing done. Thanks again for the advice everybody!
  3. Those are pretty much what I had in mind, except better in every way. I've got to practice making train tracks... Still have no clue as to what Mei Feng is busting through... Maybe a supply shack? A pile of loose lumber? I dunno. Cool as that is, my dilemma remains unsolved.
  4. So I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the Rail Crew box set, and I absolutely love Mei Feng's sculpt. I know I want to include the splintered wood bits, but I have no idea what to do about basing... Just what is she bursting out of? I plan on doing the rest of the bases with fine grey gravel and the occasional bit of train track, to give the impression that they're still at they're work site, I guess. I have it all worked out: I'm just caught up on how to base Mei Feng. Anyone else have any cool ideas that I can draw on/flat-out steal?
  5. Hey folks! I got into Malifaux just this past month, but have been aware of it's existence since 2011 thanks to the wonderful selection on display at the Nexus games shop in Kingston ON: Seamus and his rotten belles won me over immediately. Now, one year later, I am the proud owner of 2 complete crews (The Dreamer and Lucius) and have been relentlessly hounding my gaming chums to give the game a shot. I'm a sucker for pretty miniatures, and the fact that you can pick up several different crews for less than what most people would have to shell out for a single Army in any number of other tabletop miniature games. Currently waiting on the GenCon releases to hit brick and mortar locations: Anyone else 'stoked' for the Mei Feng and the rail crew?
