I've been to Connection games on Renfrew a few times and planing again on this Sunday. Introduce yourself if your there I'll be the blond girl playing Colette. I was looking at the tournament but Langley is very hard for me to get to, its about a 2 hour trip for me on transit.

I really like the cards in Colette stack of cards and the dove flying out of the hat I just cant seem to paint that small for my cards! I just about to repaint my Colette and thinking of having her hold a soul stone with some scattered on her base

Hello, My names Kallista and I live in Vancouver Canada but I'm originally from England. I start playing Malifaux with Collette 2 months ago. I've not played a miniature game in about 10 years. When I used to play Warhammer with my Bretonnia army against my 3 brothers. I was seduced back into playing by my co-work and friend Fritz. With the tales of steam punk and an awesome all girl crew. It’s a little odd to be playing with cards instead of dice. Also being in an environment where I’m the only female player, at least a few girls are into comics and video games now days. But still seem to be lacking for miniatures. I do love painting my crew I'm all ready on my 2nd repaint and adding some custom bases.

I use these templates as well but I laminated them in 5mm plastic. Works really well and doesn’t mater if they ever get wet.

I know this sounds a silly question but what does a soul stone look like. I was thinking of adding some to my Colette’s base, but then I realized I'm not totally sure what they look like other then crystal. Are they smooth or sharp & jagged? Large or small? What colour are they? I imagine them blue or green and shape and jagged, varying in size from the size about a base ball to a basket ball size.

I use 100% nail polish remover (its the more costly stuff) and find it works every time

Very cool I like the pastal colours for the girls. I went the other direction and made mine super bright or very dark

I made home made bases for my show girls. I used coffe stirers to make floor boards

I got her but yet to use her much in any of my battles but I've not been up against any Neverborn and Resurrectionists yet. So maybe in the future she'll be more useful

Move, run and focus on your schemes and objective. Avoid going for all out killing. Create doves and lets them cause trouble (dont worry about letting them die just create some more) and creat lots of extra soul stones in the first few turns.

I've Colette my self and I'm also a new player. My advice is to watch your triggers and don’t for get to use them (her defense trigger is very useful), also make sure to reactivate her every turn and get her to create soul stones (in the early turns) and doves (the rest of the time). Also invest in some mechanical doves (cost little) and coryphées (great for speed) to your crew. The schemes that are best to pull off are ones involving movement such as Sabotage, Power Ritual, etc. Pukll these off using Cas and your coryphées speed to get them done.

True didnt get a chance to play last week but should get a game or two in tomorrow. Gotta to keep a eye on my triggers

I going to split a pack of these with my friend 2 for me, one for him. Should be a great add to my Colette crew

Blinding flash is the trigger I keep forgetting to use. I do the same with my doves I send them in use magicians duel (or blow them up if theyre in a large group and just make anothe next turn) I find Cas and the duet useful for pulling off the schemes I choose.

I started with Colette and shes pretty hard to learn. Having doves and investing in coryphées makes it a lot easier

So I just started play this last month or so. Starting with Colette’s starter set and 3 doves, just added the coryphées and Angelica as well. It’s been a little hard getting into as I’ve not play any table top games in about 10 years and even then it was War Hammer (also pretty funny going to the games shop and being the only girl out of 20 guys). But I was seduced into playing by my friend Fritz with the words of steam punk and show girls. I am learning my crew slowly. I’ve got to keep an eye on using my triggers with Colette, I keep forgetting and it cost me the last game. I think I’ve won 2 games, lost 2 games and had 2 draws so far. So I looking for advice on how to best use and add to my crew.
