  1. What's the start date? Oh. I guess that would be 6/1 like it says in Title. Sorry, the obvious stuff escapes me sometimes. I'll be down there for the painting competition next week, so hopefully I can jump in on the slow grow then.
  2. If that's what it takes for me to start a gremlins crew, so be it.
  3. http://guildofharmony.com/steampunk_arielle.php Steampunk Arielle from Guild of Harmony is a gorgeous model. I picked one up for an alt-Hans myself. This is the same sculptor who is working on the Twisted project that should be on Kickstarter later this summer.
  4. I noticed the webstore is down due to moving the warehouse (?) and I know some of the old plastics are getting repackaged with new box art to be in line with the rest of the M2e stuff, so it would seem reasonable that any crews that are getting boxed or reboxed during this time period would get a Johanna in it. Who knows. I'm looking at it like a big scavenger hunt.
  5. Tre, the admin from Po Boys FB page described Edward Mize as hostile and unhelpful.
  6. It would probably be worthwhile to set up a permanent thread on the trading forum for folks to split boxes and such.
  7. I'm not going to copy it here, but there is definitely some activity on the facebook page. Tre, the page admin, has been going back and forth with the trolls who keep taking potshots. I understand that people are upset that their investment has not paid off. I'm out money on this one too. However, It is more upsetting that people lose all sense of decorum and courtesy when posting on the internet.
  8. 6412. Another addiction I didn't need. 17036 19216. so close It's Alive! 21132
  9. The sculptor for the miniatures is the guy from Guild of Harmony. Absolutely beautiful stuff. I picked up a steampunk Ariel that I plan on using as a proxy for Hans.
  10. Just thought I'd give this a bump and see if any Johannas have been spotted it stores yet.
  11. Small world. I grew up in Hunterdon County. My mother lives in Clinton, and I live over in Middlesex County, not too far from Perth Amboy. I hear there is a Malifaux group starting up in North Jersey, I believe they're at Gamer's Gambit in Saddlebrook. And there is a pretty active group at Outside the Box down in Vorhees. Here is a list of some of their summer events: According to Stoupe (Henchman at OTB) Beyond that I'm looking to get in some 'faux over at TOGIT since that is where I hang out most of the time.
  12. I've heard there are a couple of guys at TOGIT that are Malicurious, but I haven't met them yet. I'm there on Wed, Fri, Sat as my schedule allows and they're usually there on Thursdays. After the semester is over I'll drop by on a Thursday with a crew.
  13. Good article by Brent on BOLS regarding kickstarter(and by proxy indigogo). I'd post the address, but either my computer or this forum doesn't feel like cut/paste right now. Just go to Bell of Lost Souls. It was just posted this morning.
  14. Manufacturing delays seems to be a common theme in the miniatures world. Like Solicitor said, it's a good opportunity to catch up on some hobby backlog. And I'm not spending money I don't have right now.
  15. The latest from the fb page. Make of it what you will. Leah Gustavson I am sorry, the outlook sounds pretty grim. I do wish him a speedy recovery. I would suggest however that some kind of arrangement be made for his friends to have the product released so they can pack it up and ship it out. I would be happy to stain my own terrain and that would be a lot less for Damian to do when he is in recovery. There has to be some kind of paperwork that can be filled out releasing the product as is to be shipped. Like · 1 · Yesterday at 2:13pm Po Boys Terrain This is currently what is being looked into. The supplier has been contacted and am awaiting reply of what paperwork will need to be shown to have the components shipped to the US instead of being picked up there as per the original plan. Staining is not a issue, I know enough people that would love to help Damian out on that. It is the weathering on some of the orders which I personally do not know how to duplicate. I will worry about that after we can secure the shipment of parts. People have concerns and I do not fault them for that considering the way todays world is. Nothing I can say short of "the buildings are in the mail" will put those concerns to rest. Arguing it will only result in further ill will. Instead I will continue to try and help a good man out and announce something concrete when I have it.
  16. Check out Frontline Gaming. The mats are a bit pricy, but by all accounts they are a fantastic product. I'd like to get one for malifaux and one for xwing. They are described as a giant mousepad. Foamrubber backing with a cloth front. Supposed to be foldable and rollable with no creasing or curling. It is not static grass, however. A cheap alternative to get you though in the mean time is a sheet of felt or fleece, both of which you can get at wallmart or micheals.
  17. Sorry. Burritos are better. Carnitas all the way.
  18. I think some of you are looking at kickstarter/indiegogo from the wrong perspective completely. These are crowd sourcing sites. That means you are investing in a startup. This is not amazon.com where you go shopping. If the company is successful they reward investors with perks. Indiegogo is an online crowdfunding venue for people and entities seeking to raise funds for their own Campaigns and to contribute to the Campaigns of others. Campaign Owners can offer gifts in the form of tangible items or intangible services (collectively, "Perks") to Contributors. Perks are not offered for sale. Indiegogo makes no representations about the quality, safety, morality or legality of any Campaign, Perk or Contribution or the truth or accuracy of content posted on the website. Indiegogo does not represent that Campaign Owners will deliver Perks or that Contributions will be used as described in the Campaign. Users use the Service at their own risk. https://www.indiegogo.com/about/terms Pay attention and understand what you are investing in before hand instead of threatening some guy on the internet with charges of fraud because you haven't gotten your "gift" yet. If you want to go shopping, do it at your LGS. If you want to invest in a company because you want their products to be available for retail in the future, share the wealth on kickstarter and indiegogo.
  19. It's only been 3 weeks since the last post on the FB page. In reality, that's not that long for a project that involves international manufacturing and shipping. The sky is not falling. No need to freak out because you don't have your toys yet. Have some patience and cut the man some slack.
  20. For instance, will the Viks, Taylor and Student of Conflict be sold as singles at some point, or will they only be available by purchasing the crew box?
  21. Didn't make it down for this demo day, but I'll be bringing my archanists down on sat march 8 for a couple of games.
  22. Has anyone played the Firefly board game from GF9? It's pretty entertaining and chock full of fluff and references to both the series and the movie.
  23. Like I always say, if I'm going to lose (which I do almost exclusively), at least my models look good doing it.
