  1. We got more demos going on this Saturday! Be sure to drop in and check it out!
  2. Not a bad idea. Model wise, can't see that working, but it would still be pretty cool. I would like to see a minion that is upgraded to an enforcer. They get a name and story. That would be cool to see.
  3. Sounds like a great show. I will have to check it out!
  4. That is a loaded gun type of question. There will be so many answers, and long drawn out explanations it will take days to read. I will keep it short and sweet. Easiest- Frame for Murder. Very few masters going to pass up the chance to kill off a minion you bait them with. Hardest- Line in the Sand/ Distract. Both are equally hard to pull off. If it is not a problem trying to line up on the centerline and not have you opponent know right off the bat what you are doing and still pull it off, it is just getting to the center line with enough wounds left to drop the scheme. Distract is just as bad as you need to put on the condition and leave the model alive, which in turn will just wreck your face. Honestly, I have always been disappoint with all the schemes. I was really looking forward to the hidden bluffing style of schemes that were first talked about. With the way they are now, there is little reason to hide them and barely half use scheme markers. So if there is one that uses scheme markers with three others that don't, it is pretty easy to figure out which you took. That is my take on schemes.
  5. We are 7 weeks until Nuke Con. Are you going to be ready?
  6. This just in! Stop in and try out a demo and get a ticket. Keep coming back each week with your ticket and get an advanced demo each time and get another ticket. On the 29th, stop in with your tickets and you could win a free Malifaux model to help get your collection started or add to what you already got!
  7. Yup, Ten Thunder look out for themselves first.
  8. Come on out to the newest game shop in Omaha, Nebraska, the Game Shoppe! Every Saturday this month, drop in for a demo of Malifaux and if you already know how to play, drop in for some open play in the new shop. Try out the game and meet some new people! Where? The Game Shoppe 4014 N 144th st Omaha, Ne 68116 (402) 991-8699 When? Saturday the 15th, 22nd and 29th Time? Starts at 12 noon and run until 4pm Cost? Nothing! So come on out and let get the Malifaux community growing at the new shop!
  9. The best thing about the larger book is the story but also the fact you get to see the stat cards of all the models in wave 1 in the first book and all wave 2 in the Crossroad book. It does help to plan purchases and check what you like in the factions.
  10. You do know she is a real model. She is a female convicted gunslinger. She was the 3rd and final metal Miss, if I remember correctly.
  11. How tragic is the loss? lol. For me, I would go full bore into Outcast at first and Ten Thunders. Having a lot of Ten Thunder now, the loss would put me off at first from recollecting them. If I lost all my metal Resserectionist, that would be it for me, as I can't stand the plastics. It would only change the order I collect, not the factions I collect.
  12. It is pretty awesome that Wyrd was able to fit them all into one 50ss crew. Now the long wait until the release begins.
  13. There is a vassal program and there was an army builder at one time, but I think it is down at them moment while they redo the site. You will find that balance come being able to tailor your crew to the strategy and schemes at hand. There really is not "all comers" list as the every game is a little different than the last. I always recommend you look over the factions and pick the faction to like the best as it makes it easier to collect and enjoy the game fully. There are others that recommend picking masters you like and just take models that work well with them, but I feel that would really limit yourself in the long run. There are lots of podcast to pick from ranging to serious to just addle chat. Here are a few you might like. http://schemesandstones.podbean.com/ http://mistakesweremade.podbean.com/ http://schooloffaux.podbean.com/ Those should be some good ones. There are lots of others, but many die out over time. You can also check out A Wyrd Place on Facebook. There are lots of fans of the game there and you can get some good advice from about 90% of them. Hope that helps, welcome to Malifaux.
  14. Same here. lol. Seriously though, there is not as much stuff on eBay as I thought this year. Best of luck to you!
  15. Only eight weeks until Nuke Con! Ok, eight weeks and a day. Be sure to get your tickets now!
  16. Nice link, thank you. I thought the game was pretty fun also.
  17. Dead Man's Knock! The card game I made back in '14 using a fate deck. You edited the rule book for me. :/
  18. Good, we got 8 weeks left. I was thinking the other day, you should let me know how much and were you get your cards made. I am thinking of a making a Dead Man's Knock deck.
  19. It would be no different that just playing a one off game with someone that had the same master. If anything, the winner of the campaign would be the real Von Schill! But yeah, there is no rule against it.
  20. It was nice to have some options this year, unlike years before where you had to pay for 2 day shipping that took 4 weeks to ship.
