Replacing it with Sub Zero could be a good call too. At that points level where most people will have small crews, the ability to shut down activations could be a great advantage.

I'm putting myself in for this, if only to make sure I get more than one game of Malifaux a week! I seriously need to learn to play M2E better. I also echo the local timezones thing.

Are those the glowy green plastic Poltergeists or did you paint them that way from scratch?!

I was thinking of dropping my usual take of three Gamin to two, maybe putting in some mole men or trying a Silent one. As much as I love using them for blasting and freezing, I seem to be getting them shut down or killed rather easily. A Blessed of December would also love to be engaged. I think it might come down to having less minions on the board but ones that are both ice mirrors for Raspy but also capable of a good few things in their own right. Then mole men for objectives and a Gamin for the (0) action buff, which I sometimes think is overlooked. One hanging by her can be most useful. I'm really looking forward to the Wave 2 releases for her. It's not that I won't use Gamin, just probably one or two at most.

Would it be possible for you to borrow them from someone else? Or if you're not that bothered by it: proxying. If you buy the normal (big) rulebook, you can do that.

Would you guess that the intent is for it to be for one activation, the one this bonus is chosen? I agree it's clunky wording but I personally wouldn't want to abuse it.

Got any tips for painting fur dgraz? Yours look pretty good and I'm about to start on my plastic Marcus crew.

Does the 100SS pool include upgrades or just base models?

Well I already own 1 Canine Remains (conversion), will wait for plastic Silurids (hopefully soon?) and Waldgeists. I guess I'm just going to try having some non-beast models in my crew for now.

Of course, that completely slipped my mind. So I guess owning another Cerberus is a good idea, as is a Blessed in case you don't take one in your crew. That certainly makes things easier than collecting Nicodem!

Just got my Marcus box set delivered, can't wait to put it on the table! My Christmas day will consist of painting somebody, haven't decided who yet. Any links/suggestions on painting fur are MORE than welcome - I've never done it before! Tactica-wise, how many duplicates of beasts do people expect to buy/take to tournaments for Myranda's Shapechange Ability? It might get a tad expensive/unreasonable to get one of everything. What I'm basically asking is - what are the most common beasts you will transform her into? (including Wave 2 as it stands).

Interesting. I own an Acolyte for my Rasputina crew and some Molemen. I'm wondering whether Metal Gamin could even be missed. I'm trying to save money and don't want something tempting me into another Master.

What common non-Marcus models do you see yourself using, other than the Acolyte and Metal Gamin?

It's going to take a long time to read all of this (including Dave's posts) when my Marcus crew arrives from Wyd, but it'll be worth it! I've already bought some molemen and own a DA from my Raspy crew. I'm rubbing my hands together in anticipation...

Loved the batrep. Do you think perhaps taking Imbued Protection would have made it a bit safer for the Golem?

I figure I'll just get it when I get it and I'm not worrying. I've got other things to do, it'll just be a nice surprise when it comes through my postbox!

Omen, do you have any experience with the new GW Texture snow "paint"?

Like Fenton said, Sonnia is the bane of Arcanists - Rasputina especially (juyst like M2E). The Acolyte is good for shooting models to drag them out of Sonnia's 3" protective zone, or you could try hitting your own model outside to get blasts onto her models. (possible running up the damaged Gamin to shatter into those weakened enemies). That's all I can think of.

Name says it all really. I'd just like to say that I shamelessly used OTP's style (link) to paint my Ice Golem and Gamin. It looked so good I didn't want to do it any other way!

I'm looking for the same sort of thing but ice pillars. Looks like the battlefield in a box ones are gone. Pencils are overdone, isn't there a niche market for these kinds of things?
