Rules query here. I played against a friend last night and he was using Collodi for the first time. I'm asking some questions for the both of us as we have this niggling doubt we played him wrong - as he seems absurdly powerful. Strum the threads give Collodi Fast (effectively making him a 4AP Master). Can he actually use Fated to give Fast (but not the 2 damage) to his entire crew if they're in 6"? A whole crew with 3AP seemed ridiculous to us. So was the other option of giving his whole crew the ability to drop scheme markers at the end of their turns, even if engaged (as it is not an Interact Action, it just happens), but that's for another day. He just seemed too powerful and it ultimately became a NPE. P.S. Why does the Marionette's "Tell No Lies" not have a range? Can it REALLY be used across the entire board?

A more efficient option is to take a Canine Remains to turn it into a beast Turn 1 which lasts for the whole game. The dog can then go do scheme stuff afterwards.

I haven't yet played on a table where terrain was so bad that spiders were a better choice. I might test them out though, their base speed is a good point to bring up.

I've heard mixed things about the swarm. Is it really worth making? I'm not going to magnetise my arachnids so I'd just be buying another one. Still at only £6 a box, it's not going to break the bank.

Based on the average of Ramos making two spiders a turn, would it be a safe assumption to make that I'll need ten spiders, plus a swarm? Somehow I don't think the six I got in the crew box will be enough.

Well hopefully they'll make a smaller scale one available then. I can see myself buying a crew box and selling the bits I don't want.

1 - The Wendigo's melee attacks have a trigger that if it kills or sacrifices the target, she gains Fast. 2 - you may not want to take a beast I guess. Myranda only synergise a with other beasts whilst in human form. If you take Myranda, the Blessed is the only Frozen Heart beast for Ice Mirrors. You can make Myranda transform into others but they won't synergise as well as the Blesed will. You might like a Cerberus or Razorspine though. 3 - yes, but it only adds one to the final damage amount. E.g. Rasputina gets the red joker on a December's Curse attack. It does 8 damage (severe 5, weak 2 +1). Same goes with the Acolyte's shots. 4 - Yes. "All models". 5 - Yes, although you cannot spam the same armour buff from the same source (e.g. Rasputina's Decemeber's Touch tactical action). See miniature rulebook page 63, Stacking, bullet point 4.

I've found the Wendigo to be a great totem for a variety of uses. I haven't even used him for Devour yet. I find it's too tempting to blast people to death rather than paralyse. He's a great totem - significant for objectives, decent melee and can give Rasputina fast. I'm wondering about when not to take him though - maybe turf war.
