I don't have my rulebook or cards in front of me, but I believe JD doesn't take the wound, he can still be targeted by the ability because he gained brillance. I also believe the HD would heal because I don't recall the damage having to be dealt in order for the heal to trigger. Hope that answers your question.

So, I have 3 people who want to play but have no information on this tournament and you haven't returned a call or text. How much is the entry? What's the address? What time?

People unfortunately will always whine about whats winning, what it boils down to is just play what you want to play and whats fun to play. I play mostly rezzers but also play hamelin and pandora quite often and i enjoy playing them immensely. The problem i seem to see with the "power" masters is that they are incredibly fun to play but not that fun to play against. I tell all my new players to play whatever they want, if people seriously wont play against you because you play a certain master, i think they have forgotten why they got into gaming to begin with.

I really like the idea of declaring masters before hiring! I understand and have heard both sides of the argument, I just feel that it will be more challenging which in my gaming experience equates to more fun. I like playing my crew against models or masters that are built as a hard counter to them!

Also a just to make sure question, does anathema function like abomination does in warmachine? Meaning do your models take the terrifying test also? The way I read it they would even though terrifying says only enemy, but anathema says it affects ALL models. No. read voracious rats again: When this model or a model within 6" of it is killed, Summon ONE Malifaux Rat in base contact with the model before it is removed from play. The model does not generate Counters of any kind. No other models can be summoned as a result of the model being killed. Sorry, but only one rat no matter how many instances of voracious rats! Otherwise i could see the board running out of room to move or place

Starting July 5th there will be an escalation league starting at Strategy and Games in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Only required to play one match a month and there will be prize support for finishing in the league, painting, and sportsmanship. The first match is going to be 15 points hiring only out of your masters starter box with painting not required. I thought that also. It kind of switches on and off if certain conditions are met or not met.

Krystophus and I were playing a game today and thought of two interesting situations I wanted some opinions on. First one actually came up in gameplay. 1) Molly activates, reactivates her pitiful ability and activates terrifying 14. The gunsmiths are terrifying 12 to any ht 1, harmless, insignificant, or pitiful models. Does this mean they don't take molly's terrifying? I ruled they wouldn't but since they don't ignore pitiful they were still subject to to WP > WP duel. 2) Also if there ever was a ht 1 model with terrifying, would gumsmiths have to take the test. Again i said no, but just wanted some opinions. Thanks everyone!!!!

Just a quick clarification. If Rasputina is in melee she can cast a gun symbol spell using ice mirror, correct? The model that its being cast through is now the source of the spell the way I see it, kind of like nicodems vultures.

Recently we had a few starter army boxes donated to our LGS and our goal is to give them back to the community and get new players into Malifaux. There is no entry fee for this tournament, each round you will be randomly assigned a starter box to play. Feel free to bring your own for Round 1 then its going into the random pool, otherwise models and cards can be provided. The tournament will be in the following format: Round 1: Shared Destroy Evidence on a preset board with standard deployment. Round 2: Flip for shared objective on a preset board flipping for deployment. Round 3: Flip for objective on a preset board with a random event, and flip for deployment. The highest finisher who currently doesn't own a starter army will get their choice of a starter box, the associated totem and fate deck, and a rules manual! Not bad prize support for a free tournament. There will also be optional prize support for painting contest or for tournament placings. I'm assuming you mean the action "(1) sacrificed" that every model in Killjoy's crew gains, if so the answer is no. Obey says in its description that the action cannot cause the model to be killed or sacrificed.

Thanks everyone!!! Just was curious what to tell players who asked! I didn't see anywhere it said target, but on the other hand I'm fairly certain magic pockets wouldn't make up that there was a ruling otherwise.

I understand that marshals don't chime in on everything, but doesn't it usually get thrown into resolved rules questions if the players have sufficiently answered the question? Also, the dreamer thing is pretty obvious I was asking about Pandora and Hamelin. Another thing, magic pockets said there was a thread where this was answered, but he can't find it and I can't find it either. I was curious if someone did find it or maybe another thread with a ruling. Just be nice to know one way or the other. Thanks!!! :-D
