  1. First of all, this is awesome. Secondly, while it may be a small point, since all models have access to Bash (Rg 1, Cb3, Dg 0/1/2) might that not skew your average model a bit? EDIT: Also very interested in seeing numbers from Twisting Fates added.
  2. Malifaux Demo this Thursday from 6-8 pm. Gryphon Games & Comics 2020 S. College Ave. Ft. Collins, Colorado, 80525. Come check out our new indoor board.
  3. Fantastic! Best battle report I've seen in ages. Bookmarking your blog.
  4. That is correct. page 46 of the Rules Manual. 2nd Paragraph under Blasts: "Any model, other than the initial target, touched by one or more suffers damage one severity lower that what was inflicted on the target" So damage to the target from the attack and damage from the are separate things.
  5. Ratty and Keltheos have both ruled that a model can be seen through exactly 3" of obscuring. http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?24856-3-quot-Obscuring-Auras-amp-LoS
  6. Interesting that this turned into a Dreamer vs. Nico thread as I played that very matchup last night. Very tough game. Nico:6 Dreamer:5
  7. FedEx/Kinko's has thick enough laminate that you can get away printing them on normal paper if you like. It's a bit more expensive laminating them, but it's nice to be able to write things on them in dry erase markers (target of grudge, etc.) Model shown to illustrate stiffness.
  8. I got a few when I first started the game because I love the model, but I rarely use them. They are sometimes good as a low body part cost summonable significant model. I don't think I'd ever hire one though.
  9. One man's realism is another man's dogma.
  10. 1) Per-Dee-Ta 2) Per-Die-Ta 3) Per-Dish-A 4) Other?
  11. Correct, while the paralyzed model can be obeyed, it is not permitted to take the (1) action or charge due to paralyze. Obeying the model would not make it count as being activated, and would not remove paralyze, as Obey does not "activate" the model. Something like "Alpha" for example, would remove Paralyze, as that activates the model, which Obey does not.
  12. 1) I'd think counterspell is usable, as it's neither an action nor a trigger. As to use soulstone, it depends on which use you are talking about. If you are using it to prevent wounds, that is allowed, as that is not an action/trigger. If you were using it to heal, that would not be allowed, as it is an (1) action. 2) Nope. Paralyzed models skip their activation, so poison does not go off. 3) A paralyzed lured model would move, as that move is not an action but an effect. You could obey a paralyzed model if you wished, but it would be silly, as obey specifies actions that the paralyzed model is not allowed to take.
  13. I don't believe Loco would test then and there, as he did not enter the terrifying range so much as it entered him. He would have to test upon activating however. At least that how I've been playing it.
  14. Thanks, and thanks for coming by. It was good to meet you and I look forward to coordinating our efforts. And dude, fantastic paint job on your crew, I am shamed and humbled.
  15. I use them almost every time in casual play. I think it can cause people to think more about what they should include in their crew, and try out different things. During our grow league I printed up cards for them to encourage people to use them more often. For tournaments I use them every table, every time.

  17. While I agree with the above that MDF is the best long term solution, my first attempt was to use 2 sections of foamcore 3" x 1.5". Painted and flocked it has held up very well and has not warped at all despite all the glue slathered onto it. Its very lightweight, cheap, and transportable.
  18. It's about 140 miles/2.5 hours north of Fort Carson. It would be a bit of a drive, but if you need refuge from the in-laws we would love to have you.

  22. Thanks. The question came up WRT Stitched Togethers "Gamble for you life" and if the duel was subject to the combat total modifier chart. The confusing part is why that ability specifically mentions that it may be cheated.
