  1. Think the issue with Rezzers is that the intended design motivation behind the faction became very hard to manage without breaking the game. Case in point all Graverobbers used to able to spend an all action to dig up a corpse counter. The problem... combine 12 Canine remains and Nicodem. 12 Mindless Zombies a turn breaks the game. Since the sustained creation of models is hard to balance we don't get the synergies the make factions like the neverborn the powerhouse they are.
  2. Depends, Someone who is a large collector might do that trade. You'll need to find a collector to get the best value you want. The issue that you'll find I think is that she's a nurse and they are not the most popular model in the Rezzer line. I'm looking for one myself, but only because I only want one Nurse. I doubt I'd be able to give you your desired value. Good luck though =)
  3. Ahhh thank you, I knew I missed something simple.
  4. Hey I had a question regarding the Terrifying ability. Under the rules for Terrifying it states a model must test for terrifying under certain conditions, it however doesn't state anywhere I can see that you are exempted from your own side's Terrifying. I doubt very highly that this was the intent, but can anyone mention the relevant page of the rules manuel that would clear this up? So currently unless I'm missing something, Kirai for example can never be brought within 1" of Datsue-Ba, Onryo, or anything else that has Terrifying because if she does she'll have to make the Test. The same problem would seem to occur with McMorning. Seamus has Terrifying so he is exempt, and Nicodem can consider himself undead whenever it is beneficial to do so. What am I missing, or is this working as intended?
  5. Someone has Nicodem, Chucklemonkey I think. Bete Noir, is now Talishko's (sp?) Avatar. Keltheos has Jack Daw. If you search the forums you can find them and see them. =) Given the armies I've seen you play if you are lucky Eric might hit you with a Punk Zombie Avatar.
  6. If you are ever in the Champaign area let me know I'd love to give you a game.
  7. Welcome to Malifaux. Come to the Dark side, we get fridays off early and have zombie hookers. What's not to love?
  8. Conversely, you might visit some craft stores in your area. There might be snowglobe kits available. You only need to find the right size globe to fit on your base and be big enough to enclose Tina.
  9. It's a house rule however guys. I don't agree with it in anyway, shape, or form, but it's his own play groups rules. In his group's specific case they find it fun to make that the rule when they play. I think trying to convince him that its a bad rule is just going to create bad feelings.
  10. I had the one with the feather, but then I let slip Seamus' infiltration plan with the star theater and Eric unmasked me.
  11. Both are someone's Avatar. I got bored one night and looked through the entire forum's member list at all the avatars.
  12. Careful of asking for puppets, Paws. In an earlier thread it was warned that asking for an avatar was an almost certain way of not getting one. I know you most likely weren't aware of that fact. And I actually *think* someone does have the Hoffman puppet, but I forget who. Personally I always saw you as a young and studly Peacekeeper. =D
  13. I play both Seamus and Kirai. I just don't feel an overwhelming drawn to the Doctor and the Undertaker, and I'm not certain why. One of my favorite moments that happened recently was a game where I played Seamus Vs. the Dreamer in a 40SS game of shared treasure hunt. The treasure never moved all game. Rocket Belles got to the treasure very fast but could never spare the interact action to pick it up. The Dreamer's crew kept picking it up, and then had to keep dropping it from the lures of the massed belles. The game ended up being a massive slug fast in the middle of the board with Teddy, Coppelius, Stitched, and Chompy Going up against Seamus, Sybelle, Belles, and Onryos. The Dreamer player hadn't truly realized how resilient Seamus' crew was. His look of disbelief was priceless. Game ended once Teddy went down to a pack of Belles and Seamus introduced Chompy to oblivion with his gun. Game ended 4-2 in Seamus' favor. Hard fought game the whole way but I can definitely recommend Seamus and his belles to a new Resser player.
  14. I don't know anyone that sells them, but if you are good at casting you could make a mold of a regular Wyrd base and then cast in it clear resin.
  15. Welcome to the Malifaux. I started where you are with Seamus and Have branched out into Kirai as well. I was mainly a WHF player till I made the switch. Still love Fantasy, but the time it takes to Pack, Transport, and Unpack the Skaven made a small skirmish game ideal. As a minor suggestion you might want to think about picking up Bete Noir as well. I tend to find using her with the Copycat Killer is awsome. Don't kill him and he will keep taking shots with Seamus' gun. Do kill him and Bete pops out to say "Hi!"
  16. Pandora can also get some use from Lelu and Lilitu. Really those two go with any Neverborn Master. I don't know, if I hadn't decided on going the resser route I'd probably gone the Lilith route myself. Nekima is one scary nephilim. Although I've heard she is not a very easy model to put together.
  17. I'm confused, is this a brawl? Hamelin the Plagued doesn't have a SS cost he's a Master. Do you mean regular Hamelin?
  18. Conversely there will be groups that wouldn't buy such a book without new art and fluff.
  19. -Out of Rising powers all the masters are pretty good, and they all are more complicated to used than the Book 1 Masters. That isn't to say they are more powerful, just play in many ways completely differently than anything book one has to offer. That said I'd be careful of sitting across the table from Hamlin. I have not played against him personally, but from all the posts I've read about him he is very frustrating to play against. -The Dreamer and Chompy bits I would say is one of the strongest masters in the game at present. I wouldn't say he is broken by any stretch of the imagination. The problem that the Dreamer's opponents will find is that currently he has some of the best synergy available in the entire crew between the master and minions. If he is going to be a regular opponent for you I'd suggest reading all the tactica for him you can find. You need to understand exactly how he works to be able to successfully fight against him. Unfortunately for those of us who have 6 Dreamer players in the area a game against the Dreamer is really often decided firstly by how often the Dreamer player makes mistakes. The synergy between the Dreamer and his crew, and the mobility, flexibility, and lethality the crew brings to the table mean that Dreamer often controls completely to tempo of the Game. Secondly in order to be able to capitalize on the Dreamer's mistakes you have to understand how he works and be in a position to capitalize on them when and if they occur. -Top Tier is a very nebulous term at the moment in Malifaux. Remember that the Tourney formats and design of the game are based around the Declaration of Faction not Master before finding out what the Strategy for the game is. Therefore although I feel there are some Rock, Paper, Scissor match-ups in they game, these are often mitigated by the factor of being able to chose a Master from the faction that might be better at a specific Strategy. However if your question asks which Masters are flexible enough in their play style to do most objectives easily, then my personal opinions are: All Neverborn Masters and Henchman. Perdita Hamlin Von Schill
  20. I'm wondering if this was the hidden secret that Karn didn't want to get out from his interview with the Aethervox peoples.
  21. I haven't seen the scales used with any great success in my area. So if you are a competitive player at heart I don't think you'll find them too useful. I'd advise instead to go for the Governor's Proxy for those times when you need a totem. He has better abilities, better spells, and critically a higher casting Value, so you'll need less of the big cards you'd most likely want to save for some other use. However if you are more of a casual or story driven player definitely get the scales, I think the model has way more style than the Proxy.
