Hi!
A game on friday prompted a question about Sonnia Criids spell Flame Wall, as well as Avatar of Conflagrations spell Pyre.
When placing the templates, should they be placed within or completely within the range of the spell?
Thank you!
Very, very excited for Avatar of Entropy, the Pale Rider and Simulacra #29!
*grin* I can just imagine that being shouted at the top of Iggys lungs in a squeaky pre-teen voice!
The first requirement is just doing 10 Wds with spells.
If the damage from the Flame Wall templates is magical, then it must come from the spell, but I can also see the other side of the point; that it is no longer a spell cast by Sonnia, but just a piece of hazardous terrain that causes magical damage.
I'm not particularly crying out for a Hamelin errata. I'm just curious as to when it's going to hit, since it was announced that it is forthcoming
*grin* I love the mental image I just got of your expression when you typed that!
Personally, I'm more interested in an ETA on Hamelin errata.
I don't think it would be prudent for Wyrd to supply that though. Neither would it be wise to release a thorough list of everything that is being revised. I think that would throw a huge spanner in the works for everyone.
Just imagine knowing in advance that what you're doing may or may not be changed; no-one would play those miniatures at all, until the changes were released. I can see some huge issues with that
It is a beautiful minature. I have it at home, and it is stunning.
It doesn't look a thing like Leveticus, though, at least not to me, but if you like it, go for it If nothing else, it's a quite good proxy.
Great report! The mix of narration and game play was just right!
One little thing though: I missed a summary of the final VP score at the end, although that's probably just because I'm lazy and didn't sum them up myself *grin*
Sure, that's a given. But that doesn't really have much to do with cheating the Red Joker down, if you flipped it on a flip that is cheatable (i.e. no , no Black Joker or other effects that deny cheating).
Or am I misunderstanding your post?
Oh my, Guild of Harmony has some beautiful sculpts! At least two of them are perfect for either Ronin or The Thunders Bros *grin*
Although off-topic - thank you!
If you can find some old Rackham Confrontation miniatures, go for it! A lot of them follow the setting of Malifaux quite well, and since they're true scale, they are more well-proportioned and fit better into the Wyrd miniatures.
I've used him quite a lot lately, and the term glass cannon is supremely apt.
If your opponent allows it, he'll kill almost anything on the board in one activation. But he gets killed so darned easily that it really does mean that your opponent has to allow him to live (or be really unlucky in killing him).
His threat range is a bit low as well, and he only really shines when he can get to use Rapid Fire. I've taken to protecting him with Flame Wall, just to get him a single turn in the action :/
I want to like him, but he's just so expensive for what amounts to moar damage in a Guild crew...
A Damage flip is not a duel (it's just a flip), and you cannot use soul stones to add to the damage flip. You can cheat the damage flip with a card from your hand, given that you do not have any on the damage flip, or the damage flip specifically says that it cannot be cheated.
You can find it in the rules manual on pg.44-46 under the heading The Damage Flip.
I hope that helps
