  1. I came third on Thursday morning with McM at 25pts. I think i just used my standard list of seb, 2x belles, 3 dogs, crooked man/extra dog and chihuahua. I think 2nd was Kirai but don't hold me to that.
  2. I haven't had much of a problem with Sonnia, she's a static caster who throws a ton of damage but needs to keep moving to complete her objectives. You can corral her in and pick apart the crew easily. I've found belles to be really good here, especially against hopkins who can kill McM in one activation with ease. Chain lure the target close and eat him in melee. Use corpse counters to drop a fleshie on Sonnia as soon as possible but watch her trigger as she can insta kill constructs if you don't discard cards. Using spread out canines to deliver bete to the face is also quite effective.
  3. One of the biggest changes to McM in avatar form in the lack of organ donor - so yes, he's a little harder to hit and kills even quicker but he has much fewer ways to heal back up. Having said that the Simulacrum 29 just keeps coming back provided McM has sufficient body parts, and he should do given how hard he cuts thing up.
  4. I'm a big fan on the drowned, for 6wds and spirit they seem mighty good and can get some serious movement going despite their low Wk4. Crooligans look like they work well in a pair but i can't see what i'd drop to bring them into a McM or Seamus list. Nico/Molly might find use for distant objectives. A single Dead Doxy seems ideal in a Seamus list given the debuffs but i'm thinking it may be a better summon? The automatic trigger of a melee/ranged strike following a successful seduction cast means she could achieve a lot in her activation with the right cards. Rafkin definitely competes with Seb. At 7SS he's reasonable at melee and has a nice poison/blast 6" ranged attack. I'm thinking he's better used as a backup damage dealer while healing you guys and/or handing out hard to wound. If he's in the right spot having hard to wound on a lot of low cost minions can really burn an opponents activations if they are trying to table you.
  5. The 3rd list is what i use a lot and it's very effective. I generally use 1-2 of the dogs to build a body part counter reserve for later in the game when you want to drop frankies on the opponent. Lilith can be a real nuisance, the best way to deal with her is to seperate her from the rest of her crew and try to burn her out of SSs.
  6. Bringing it back to the OP, you want to save your summons for expensive models SS wise. For McM i nearly always summon flesh constructs (although a rogue is certainly ideal here as well) and never buy them as the start. For Seamus his summons are quite limited so i always bring a punk along as well as a couple of belles, as the others mentioned he has better options for his (0) action in many situations. For Nico, i'm just getting into him but it seems more of the cheap units like dogs, necropunks, crooked men & belles are better at the start and when the bodies start piling up you get more bang for you corpse counter bringing in the high SS models.
  7. I'm using the smallest aluminium case with a 51mm half pick & pluck and 2 N format half trays. In hindsight the N format trays are a little tight for some of the 30mm minis and i'd probably recommend the F format. Comfortably fits 40 30mm minis and with my 40mm minis and some of the unusually shaped 30mm minis (Bete, a punk samari, a belle) in the pick & pluck. I'm using a similiar pick & pluck tray for my 50mm Hordes beasts and it's a little tight - i'm not sure how a hooded rider would fit. Don't be afraid to email him for advice, he was very helpful when i was buying.
  8. I play very similiar to the first list although i've long dropped the nurse in favour of crookedmen/belle or restructuring for Bete Noir. Yet to experiment with the desperate merc but i think you're onto something replacing the fourth dog with one.
  9. I thought about this for a while and haven't come up with anything more than what you have stated. Every time i've used one i've been massively underwhelmed by their table impact. Sure they buff up dogs and make them much more dangerous but its a lot of SS to do that and i'd rather another threat/utility. Plus it changes the dogs into a one a turn burst mini rather than a swarming pack. I generally always take a belle/crooked man instead.
  10. Great video, i've been playing around with a similiar technique, basically using a black wash over white undercoat but drybrushing it back with white. The grey sounds a better idea as the white can tend to wash the model out a bit if you don't do a few glazes.
  11. Can't beat punk zombies supporting the belles. The hanged are also great and having one in 30ss games can really open up playing options. Crooked men are a lot of fun but not that necessary to play Seamus IMO. I'd recommend you steer clear of Jack Daw till you get the basics down, he has a LOT of rules/abilities.
  12. Yeah the necros aren't insignificant (but i assume dakrulz55 is referring to the SPA anyway who are). I find them very handy for their mobility and slightly higher resistance when compared to dogs. I've been replacing dogs with them when I need some speed to handle objectives for McM. They are also quite good when leaping over to a soft target and flurrying but this is often card intensive and they have a low dmg spread.
  13. Yup 2 packs of dogs are a must (4 dogs). Bete is entirely optional but i too started playing with her and love the punch she brings. Crooked men and belles are also quite useful in my opinion and i have just started testing out necropunks.
  14. The canines are a must have (usually 4) but you'll be normally trying to make flesh constructs. It's not a bad idea to have 2 flesh constructs if you go summoning crazy. Other than that i use a combination of crooked men and belles. Bete Noir is also great fun.
  15. Your work is incredible.
  16. Yup 4 melee attacks per turn...insanity!
  17. There are heaps of threads on good McM builds, most suggest lots of dogs. I find punks are way too slow for McM and prefer Bete or belles/crooked men. Fleshies should be summoned only IMO. Building body parts turn one is easy, you an use scalpel sling to latch onto a chihuahua for a body part and then sac it turn 2 for 2 more body parts. I normally do this on a dog first turn to net 4 body parts (one from slinging onto the target, one for the second melee attach and two for picking up the resulting corpse).
  18. My 2 cents, i rate crooked men over the punks for McM. They're just a little too slow, being far better off dropping flurry on something pulled to them. Gunslinger is great but i stick to 100% ressers and take more crooked men. For 1ss either totem is a steal, i haven't run with the grave spirit yet.
  19. Wodschow, have a read of the last sentence of Weird Sketch's quote. I'm fairly sure you can still target friendly models with transposition. Hence Lilith is still in business!
  20. Yeah i've tried to make it work but you always want to be using the counters to spit out more fleshies. Try the regulars like hold out, bodyguard or crew killing subject to what scheme you get.
  21. Damn v2 cards, that's a positive to the crooked men but i think my point still stands, she can generall always push outside of the shafted counter's AoE. i.e. not end her move within 2"
  22. I play both masters and have to say i think McM will have a hard time. Dog bomb with the nurse will be very handy to nuke those squishy neverborn support models like Candy. Using a frankie with the grave spirit totem might be a very handy way to put pressure on the opponent and minimise self-loathing dmg. Generally the best way to deal with Pandora is force her to burn cards and SS to stay clear then try and drop something on her and cheat high. Because McM is quite fast and can use SS to get past the wp duel he has a chance if she's burned resources. Crooked men are also a good choice is she stays near her crew but shafted counters are no good - she'll just push away before her activation ends. I always aim to burn Pandora's crew and pressure her away from objectives. If she gets close enough and i have high cards i try to hit her - she is very squishy once you pass that wp duel. Don't forget to kill the doppleganger quickly, they are very annoying.
  23. Interesting idea, i never bother with dissection through the totem given i'd rather use those high cards with McM. I'll give it a try next game try to link to a closer frankie. I still have a feeling the extra 1 for a dog adds to the threat of the crew (or atleast gives McM a guarantee of plenty of parts).
  24. Nilus, this seems a lot of SS worth of models chain activating to get the benefit - i question whether it is worth all those APs given the model is quite vunerable and can also be managed by the opponent. Perhaps it depend son the strategy?
