  1. Shacks are def the winner! Very cool all of it but those shacks are the shit.
  2. Nice start. Sounds like you really like the hobby part of the game ... The cerberus looks like he just devoured a snack and is looking for more ... The small models certainly are a challenge. As far as Raspy goes, don't worry about it. As you improve and learn more you may find you want to keep her as an example of how far you've come. That Wendigo is awesome. Keep them coming.
  3. Better is the enemy of good .... I love that saying. knowing when to stop is good and trying to make the next face better .. that's what I'm going to try to do.
  4. Very nice Imp. I always appreciate the 'blog' approach to these things. I don't like writing them myself but still ....
  5. Thanks .... I'm not the best painter in the world but I'm havin fun with the modeling aspects of these guys. @ Peter ... LOL, the one with his hands up? I wanted him to look like he was "thumbing his nose" so to speak at the opponent. I Use Woodland scenics Water Effects and Snow Flock stuff mixed more or less in equal parts. The bases themselves are build up from cork, Rasputina's has a stone on it as well. Painted VMC Wolf Gray dipped in Army Painter Dark Tone. That was nice as it strengthened the cork. I then applied the mix of snow and "ice" that I made while it was pliable. The Ice on the dead trees and minis is just water effects layered on bit by bit. Wait to dry. More layering. I used more water effects to "glue" on some lichen bits (Pale colored Woodland scenics Lichen), and some pine needles that had gotten into the bag of lichen .... hey, why not. Thanks for the comments ! Base in progress:
  6. Still a little to do like the eyes on Gamin and Golum ...
  7. This game kicks ass. I hope to be showing up every week
  8. Hey All, I'm Leah and have played Miniature wargames for a number of years very off and on. WH40K, Fantasy a little bit, WarmaHordes and now Malifaux. I love this game so far (played 2 small games). I went with Cult of December on, well aesthetics and, someone told me, relatively easy play. I love SF, fantasy, movies, books, music, nature ... LOVE my dogs. Recently relocated to South Florida where we're trying to get Malifaux to take off. Glad to be here.
