The Reaper Bones Iron Golem from Bones 3 was a lot of fun to paint. I'm a tad disappointed just because it's not a poseable kit, so getting more of them would require me to cut and resculpt the joints.
I haven't updated in a while. From the top, a Cephalyx Mind Bender and its unit of Drudges from Warmachine, the other Nolzur's Dragonborn Paladin, and Sukoshi Kani from Bushido.
I've had about 15 of these resistance fighters from Statuesque in-progress on my desk (ignored, possibly abandoned) for around four years. Finishing five more will bring me to 100 completed models for 2017. The bases are from Secret Weapon.
I bought a collection of Warmachine figures off a friend for about a third of the retail value. Alexia Ciannor and the Risen are the first from it I've painted. Shooting for a tabletop standard with these. I also picked up a pack of Nolzur's dragonborn paladins for one of my D&D players. I am not fond of PVC, but the figure came out alright for a rush job.
This is a Helsvakt rider from Red Box Games and the metal Malifaux Child. I am not happy with my photo set-up. I may need a new camera and better lighting.
I've read that you're supposed to put more than one cat on a base. I haven't taken mine out of the box yet, so I can't say how to assemble the model in question.
Any suggestions on models of large cats in light armor (guild hounds) and large undead cats (canine remains)? I'm also looking for a good substitute for Baby Cade and Candy, since I don't really want to buy the Pandora box set just to add them to my Curiosity Killed the Cat crew.
I bought the tanuki just to paint. They're quite enjoyable. I attempted to label the sake jars with kinbukuro 金袋, which is literally moneybags; a slang term for scrotum. In mythology, tanuki will use their kinbukuro as a weapon.
