  1. Personaly i dont realy like his avatar form much. Normal hoffman is actualy very decent in melee its just most of the time he has better things to do. So what i see him geting is a gun. Now i will admit its a very nice gun. Problem tho is lack of action points. He basicly trades fast for ranged expert. Not a good trade in my book. He also loses drawn to metal. I rarely find places where the trade would be worth the ss cost. Unless his crew has been totaly distroyed and your going for a hellmary play to table the oponent i think he is lacking. Hoffman is a master with tons of cool tricks and he loses more then he gains from avatar imho
  2. The swarm would not be able to reactivate because the all ready reactivated effect from thebcombining models would carry over to the new swarm

    Collodi

Basicly right now you got 3 total available models. Stiched marionettes and wicked dolls. So you take him his 4 marionettes, up to 3 stiched and ass tons of wicked dolls. In a 35 point list i take 2 stiched. You spend first activation on giving all your dolls fast. You then move your stiched out toward objectives. At this point you toss off activations of your wicked dolls untill he is out of models Then move collodi across the bord with marionettes. Place collodi where you want him and have wicked dolls use 0 action to join him and kill stuff it works very well. Next few turns you just keep him fighting collodi as your stiched go for vp
  4. I know im way late on this but im asuming a pandora filth list took top spot?

    Collodi

This weekend had a new player try out his new collodi crew very little mini wargaming exp. Gave him about 10 min of talk on how the crew works and he tabled all 3 people he played by turn 3. I would say he is easy to pick up. That being said he is a bit of one trick pony as he has very limited options. This will get a little better as the book 3 models come out
  6. Were the gen con tournament resluts posted some where.
  7. Thats not a bad idea. Might cut the middle and make it less time intensive and still make them look decent. It normaly takes me about 4 hours a model and i still dont make them look all that good. Picking up another 50 models just sounds like 2 much work for another game.
  8. Glad people think it would be ok to not paint them. I like the idea of playing it as a less hobby focused game. I enjoy the hobby side but can never keep up with the number of models i buy. With things like warhammer, warmahoards, and malifaux i feal like i have to paint. Would be nice to be able to just slap something on the gaming table and be ok with it
  9. Im curious any one plan to play puppet wars with out painting them. I have a lot of models to paint all ready and thinking of just going bare metal. Anyvone know if offical tournaments will require them to be painted? Dont know what it is just being more a box game then war game i just dont ever see me painting them
  10. I think we all question that ratty
  11. You do make a good point doc. I had plans to limit what models would be used for the game. Things like bells would be out but there are plenty of options that are a little less adult. I think my kid could handle a teadybear who has teeth fighting other stuffed animals
  12. Ya go to ebay the day after gencon and fork over 100 bucks
  13. Wyrd could we get an offical word on how the extra models are going to work the info is kind of all over about teddy, vik, and rider. Having all the info in one spot for every one to see would be nice
  14. Works for me thanks for the "offical word" my daughter is 9 and i was thinking this might be a good game for me and her
  15. I know that every one is different however. Those who have played or wyrd. What age would you set this game at. It looks less advanced then most wargames but fairly complex.
  16. Should be legal to toss a model up say a ladder as it could make the move normaly and then harpoon it off the edge
  17. Sounds like hamlin pandora and jack daw would be fun to teach noobs how to play.
  18. Wow just wow. Would love to see an event of that quality at my local stores. The denver convention does not even have malifaux all let alone 20 players and that leval of swag
  19. Simple answer they stack with a min of 1 wound passing through. The real difference between armor and object is that object will prevent wounds and armor wont. If you take a hit that does say 4 damage and you have armor 2 armor would prevent 2. If you also had object to you would stop one of the 2 wounds but because it cant lower it more then 1 the target would take 1 wound If an attack did 4 wounds armor does nothing but object will lower the wound down to 2.
  20. A model can only reactivate once per turn max. He is very potent with gamble your life but you only have 2 uses per turn or 4 on the turn you get reactivate. Barring fast or some thing like that
  21. Personaly i like to load up on lots of low ss cost models. Lots of the little things work well for kirai. That being said for all malifaux games it depends on the goals you have for the game. The best thing i can recomend for any player is try out lots of models and find what wotks well for you given the mission at hand.
  22. Hey all just wanted to say hi and you should see me around again now that boot camp is done. On a side note any one happen to play in san antonio TX im out here for a few months doing ASchool
  23. Sand has put up a very well dona tactica for hamlin I would ask if he would mind if you toss it up.
  24. Not a Mc player but from Levi I find them to be decent. I don't often take them but they are great for missions where you need to grab stuff quick. High movement and cheep with out being insignificant makes for a nice combo. I can tell you they work a ton better with a nurse and being as levi cant take nurse models you will get better results in a Mc crew.
