Zoraida naturally comes with one in her hand which isn't usable - however there is a separate sprue with 4, which you can just about make out from the pic if you click on it to get the bigger version - there's the sitting one, a standing one arms outstretched, one staggering along with it's stuffing coming out the stomach, and one with horns. So, buy one Zoraida, get 4 Wicked Dolls free...

Yep, great value! I prefer the look of them, and it was around the same price to get 8 of them rather than a blister of 3 Wicked Dolls.

Firstly, cheers DAGabriel for putting my large arachnid in the opening thread post! Time for the group shots! I finished 30 miniatures this month, an improvement of 9 on last month, helped quite substantially by the abundance of small figures to paint. I finished - Executioner, 4 Witchling Stalkers, Guardian, Watcher, 2 Austringers, Soulstone Miner, Large Steampunk Arachnid, Steampunk Arachnid Swarm, Mobile Toolkit, Brass Arachnid, 3 Mechanical Doves, Widow Weaver, 7 Wicked Dolls, 3 Daydreams and 2 Canine Remains. Poor Outcasts, the only faction not to get some love in my painting queue this month! Combining August and September, I've now painted 51 models, and now have 'just' 84 models left - not counting any purchases in the next 4 months. So, considering Kaeris, that count will probably go up... This month I'll be aiming to work on most of the remainder of the Guild and Neverborn, and Kirai's crew will be getting some time. I'll also be attempting to utterly blitz the Outcasts, as of the 82 to go, 38 are from that faction. Here's hoping for 31 this month!

The Tale on page 2? Not on my watch! I was painting a group of 4 Gaki, but unfortunately the resin bases I had planned for them were slightly misshapen. So, whilst they're in wip-limbo land, I painted up a few of the quicker figures - the last 4 Wicked Dolls and a Brass Arachnid. Considering this month ends in an hour and 45 for me, probably the last models for this month. The Gaki shall be for October then. The little extra shot of the lens still doesn't quite manage to show how bright the gem is, but it's close. Looking forward to the group shots thread and seeing everyone's September work!

I had a misaligned Watcher Body and a Witchling with part of a sword missing, as well as missing cards from some Bayou Gremlins plus an old card with Zoraida a short while back. An email or two later and presto, problems solved! Just got the cards in today and the models arrived a few days back, so a quite respectable turn around time considering I'm in the UK. Cheers!

Alas, still another 4 days till the group shot for September, since finished previous month entries are the first week of each month. Not long now, and with luck I'll have another 3 or 4 done by then.

If the steampunk arachnid puppet ends up the same size as the normal one I'm going to end up getting a silly number of them...

Another quick 4 finished, 3 Daydreams and the first Large Steampunk Arachnid. I may end up adding another highlight stage or two to the Daydreams to make them brighter.

Shame you can't vote for two, but I've cast mine. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

I used a Zoraida list with Collodi and Widow Weaver, and the WW was somewhat disappointing - she didn't really keep up much and I felt a doppleganger would have served me better. I'm somewhat hesitant to try her again really.

The not-Ellis Reaper figure comes with a separate guitar, and the Hasslefree not-Elvis has an arm with the guitar on a strap from the shoulder. Either of those with a suitable cowboy could work, and Black Scorpion has many cowboys.

Another couple on the done pile, a Watcher and 2 'Canine Remains'. Again pretty quick to try and narrow down the lead mountain.

Comparing the two, I prefer the 4-blot Joker rather than the 4. It matches the Black Joker and fits in nicely with the other cards without the oddly shaped 4 blood mark. As for the mirrored back, either way is fine with me, but non-mirrored looks slightly more natural.

Must admit, it's pretty convenient! I've not been idle today. Amidst a plethora of other jobs I got some painting in, and got the Watcher half done, started on 2 dead dogs and even converted the second Soulstone Miner. However, what I actually finished, were these - With luck I'll get 3 or 4 more finished tomorrow. Really churning them out this month, since even with 3 finished today, I still have 94 to go!

I went for 35ss, as it's a nicely sized game that doesn't take too long, and as others have said before me allows some of the bigger models. Curious, why is the poll private?

Thanks guys, it's indeed The Dead Lady from Freebooter. All I had to do was smooth and gap fill her face, add eyes, add a bit of hair and use GW ghoul arms - the model's arms are separate at the bottom of the dress sleeves, so I didn't even need to cut anything there.

Right, another update. Thus far today, I've finished the 3 Doves and the Mobile Toolkit. I was hoping to have finished more by this point, but the Doves had lots of detail, and it bogged me down. I really don't want to paint cards again. I'll most likely be working on the Widow Weaver, a couple of Witchlings and maybe a Freikorps next, though the Marionettes are also ready for paint. Edit: After a break I blitzed through this one, the Widow Weaver!
