  1. I was just wondering what is the proper ettiquette for token? Is everyone supposed to bring the tokens their units produce or just people fielding gravediggers and scavengers? I've played alot of guild vs neverborn scraps where we didn't bother with corpse counters at all since nobody had a use for them.
  2. Ashe figures; $5.99, Isle 5, shop smart, shop S-Mart.
  3. I like how you switched the standard colors on the Viks. I'm no not a Vik expert but, you really should be running ronins and a largish cache.
  4. Could it refer to Molly Squidpidge being death incarnate rather than a major character dieing?
  5. That's just plain text and pasted pics and hitting enter to start a new line. Hopefully in the near future I'll finish most of my in processes and have one master at a time in a category other than fully painted with crew or maybe two masters in the same category.
  6. Ya it's a little extreme to expect a 4th+ sculpt for "backbone" 4ss figures. Sure, there's some demand for big brawls but not nearly enough. I have about 35 figures/30 painted and another 10ish on the way and I've never felt the need for more than 3 of any of my cheap models (except steampunk arachnids) even now when we're gearing up for a brawl tournament I haven't felt the need for more backbone minis. One of my potential crews includes 3 molemen (there are only 2 sculpts) so I'll try to do some reposing once I have the minis. The only proxieing I have planned is A big ole demon for summoned mature Nephalim if my real one is still on the field. This banshee that I just think looks cooler then essense of power. and a white rabbit for jackalope for the python joke. Oh totally forgot to include my arachnids when counting my minis oh well.
  7. So, I have a ton of figures to show off most of them are pretty close to their book presentation. I figured I'd just put them in one big thread. First Guild. As with the Nephalim the deck is in the background cause this pic was for my henchman application. Like I said classic coloration. Oh, I did seperate the right hand from her body a bit. The Ortega bases are actually made from some tiny bricks I found at a model shop. Pretty standard colors again the spiked shoulderpad and the shrunken head on his belt are from 40k orcs. Not much to say about these, you can see part of my cat sitting on the rest of the guild crew. These witchling stalkers are in red to match to match the crew. All the other figures have a red item. Alright moving on to Arcanists. Marcus and Rasputina still need alot of work so no close-ups of them yet. My Sabertooth's look was largely inspired by ChaosAD's http://www.wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13391 I went for more of a grey that suggests blue than blue. He's reposed and I bent two claws upward like he's pointing that and putting the closed mouth head in the middle gives me the impression he's coldly growling "You". Pretty typical Gamin white, blue wash, white spikes. I used green stuff to pose the arms over his head holding a huge chunk of ice (significantly bigger than a standard malifaux mini) made from parafin wax. I got a brick of it for my Ice pillars. They cam out great the textures it has are perfect for ice it has smooth and ragged edges, glisens slightly it's just perfect. Anyway this is how I picture the Icegolem picking up or summoning huge blocks of Ice and chucking them rather than holding out his palm and blasting like 'tina. Alright my last offering is a single ressurectionist figure. Nicodem with coloration inspired by the wrestler of the same profession. I'm really happy with him he seems like a cross between classic 'taker and the villian from raiders of the lost arc. I'm not sure how I feel about the mechanical leg has anyone tried doing a conversion on it? Coming Soon: Lady Justice, Seamus (crazy themed crew), Waldgeists, Molemen and December Acolyte.
  8. I'd say any of the many models of Reaper's Iconic she-demon sophie would work and some of them like last year's christmas promo model are cheap.
  9. Check the sig, seriously, and I've only been playing 3 months. I've edited it everyday this week in fact I need to go upgrade Lady J from in box to cleaned up. Right now my focus is building up brawl crews. That was the reason for my recent purchases or Zoraida and Lady Justice as well as the Waldgeists, Voodoo doll, molemen, december acolyte, canine remains and haemlin(minion). I'm waiting till book 2 is in my hao nds before prioritizing any more stuff. Oh, and I want to field Leveticus eventually.
  10. Bump to go with new pics edit to OP. It's too bad it won't let me change the title or I'd have added "new pics 8/10".
  11. 2nd on Lillith also Rasputina is pretty straitforward and has strong synergy with her starter. It's only 18ss in models though.
  12. Lookin good, though I can't make out colors as well maybe a lighting issue.
  13. Just for the record the 3 tots and 2 young are different molds so, you can run. . . Lillith Mature Nephalim-10 2 Young Nephalim-12 2/3 Tots - 6/9 and not have any duplicate figures.
  14. I have a copy reserved at my LGS but, last I heard it wasn't shipping from their distributor till the 17th.
  15. I see what you mean why don't you try a black wash on the handle that should tone down the color and tie it in with the rest of the model better.
  16. Nicodem can make them of course since he can use that same 1 counter to make a belle or necropunk isn't reccomended and sebastian and mcmourning can both make them.
  17. An excellent start. Do you plan on using alot of purple in this crew or are you going to do your stalkers in different colors for easy reference? I like the shade of green you used for the eyes but, I noticed a touch of it got on the hood you should touch that up. Oh, and welcome to the madness.
  18. Aside from her - flip on attacks ability she isn't all that durable she has df 5 and no healing. Rasputina boosted by a Gamin could kill her with blasts in a single activation; or more reasonably leave her with less than half her wounds left after spending several soulstones. Also I found that a big model that can charge through terrain on the opposite side of a terrain peice from her keeps her player thinking somewhat defensively. Even one or two turns of this could put a big dent in her crew. I've only played one game against Z myself I lost but only by a single point and that was because it was a tournament and we rqn out of time and only played 4 turns at which point it was Lillith, mature nephalim, 2 young nephalim and a tot on my side and just Zoraida on my opponents side. I had my whole force on his side of the board so Z was able to accomplish he stake a claim scheme which she wouldn't have been able to if I'd been able to use the two remaining turns to move everything back to that terrain peice (the scheme was announced).
  19. Nice, I'll show off mine soon I haven't painted his conversion bits yet.
  20. Really? Mine looks like Sam Elliott. I can see the OP's point and I think this is a part of why Perdita is most popular Guildy. Lady J and Crid both have a clear anti-faction focus supported by their mechanics and they also kinda fail at their focus. As has been said before McMourning and Seamus both don't depend on large numbers of counters while the scavengers are actually hurt alot by this also their crews won't give her a big enough target for her all action anti undead blast to be worthwhile. Arcanist only have one and a half offensive casters so Crid isn't really anti Arcanist she's a caster that's strong against other casters. Perdita on the otherhand is anti neverborn because a) It's what's left. She and her family are powerful ranged combatants and some of them have good counters to being in mellee. This makes her somewhat of a counter to Lillith, the Nephalim warmachine, and Slurids. c) She and her family (with the exception of Papa) have high Willpower making them somewhat of a counter to Pandora and her crew and Zoraida. She doesn't have the skillset of an anti neverborn though she has the skills of a gunsliner which is what she is. If she had something like immunity to blackblood then yes would be anti neverborn but she doesn't.
  21. Ya my wife loves her executioner you do have to keep in mind that he's a 7ss heavy hitter meaning that yes he will go down to a 10ss-master heavy hitter. Guild's best weapon against something like the mature nephalim is to lure it out with the cheapest model possible and then activate 2-3 family members to conctrate fire on him. I also had to green stuff his tubes together I'm considering painting the greenstuff life a patch rather then trying to blend it in. Also I just added a shrunken head to his belt and a spiked shoulder pad from a 40K orc to his left shoulder; that required me to take his backpack of and cut a peice off and reattach it.
  22. She doesn't replace the existing model so yes a corpse counter is produced. In fluff she is "drawn to death" ie she teleports or materializes or something where things have died. If she instead emerged from corpses then she would probably prevent counter generation. *thinks it would be really cool if she had the option of being pushed toward fresh kills* Also this means she can flurry when she comes out.
  23. Checked errata, confirmed. Still at least it's wp so that's two models hitting low df for insignificant and one hitting low wp.
