  1. yes, as long as one of the models is higher than the wall or obstructing terrain you can see the other model. If both models are the same ht or smaller than the obstructing terrain than you cannot see them if all lines to the model cross the obstructing terrain.
  2. yea, if you need some cards to compete at gencon depending on who you are playing i would be more than willing to let you use mine at a tourny, im in almost all of them i think.
  3. ya who places them is something else we were wondering.
  4. lol while im not a huge fan of avatar marcus, you sound like you have some deep seeded emotional issues with him :happypuppet2
  5. I figured that the dreamer and lcb both had to be killed the one i was more worried about is a set answer on the counters since it will most likely come up at Gen con
  6. So the other day while getting in a game with my new hoffman force my opponent and i realized that we were not sure exactly where to place the markers. Since the rules for replace only mention models we were not sure if the counters placed the same way. So do they get placed somewhere within where the base was or do you place them into b2b contact with the model like you would if you were replacing it with a model. As for LCB. When you choose assassinate as a scheme can you choose just the dreamer or do you have to kill both of them? thanks.
  7. Big Mike signing up MWL PaintLord Kirai MWL Warlord Viktoria
  8. are those puppets and crows apart of her base? can we bits order the puppets and crows if they are??? These are the things i need to know
  9. I had a friend of mine who is awesome at pinning use his smallest bit and pinned them for me
  10. @Mango --- First of all, sorry its a long ones--- Ok, time to jump into this commentary now that you are here defending yourself and commenting more. Let me say that i do have respect for you because you came over to the forums to talk about it, with what appears to be an open mind willing to debate and hear out others sides. To be honest we are looking at a lot of points to reach here so i will attempt to not bore you while i get to them. First i would like to say that this whole thing i think started from not that you had something negative to say but that upon reading your post most of us found some of your statements to be actively false. As an example I will refer to the Warcaster/Master kill= Game over. While you are facing an uphill fight this is most certainly not true. I for one have been wiped off the board to the model and still won. I would like to jump to the competitive comments. I agree with your rebuttal to the comment posted, what was said was a logical fallacy. Winning does not mean a game is competitive. I wont even argue that there are balance issues. Just search the word hamlin and you will see us fighting that point. However to get a true idea of if it is competitive i think someone needs to lay down what makes a game competitive. Is 40k? I agree that the story driven part is not presented well in most games. Most people throw down the minis, have fun and call it at that. Some of us make the game into something more. With that in mind this year at gen con there is a story encounter tournament.(we will see how that works) I had to stop at "Why does a tournament have to have a single winner? Why a winner at all?" I think i understand what you were going towards, but in a tournament(one with prizes at least)(especially if people payed) you need to have a clearly defined winner that can come out of the game where other people wont argue and fight that they should be the winner. Win vs Loss is the easy way to do it. I cant fight you that this game and Warmachine are so close of games that it is scary. They do have their differences however and those differences make this game unique enough in my opinion that i don't feel when im playing one that i might as well be playing the other. In a world of give and take, i have to say that i will take a similar game that i think is awesome.( my opinion, not one im trying to push on you) As for the avatar form vs epic casters. The looks so far have made it seem like they use a mechanic that puts them in the same game as the base form. Some thing happens in the game. (something that makes it more story oriented?) Where as( you seem like you would know but...) In warmachine you CANNOT use an epic caster with his normal form. I think you jumped the gun a little fast on this one, but i understand where you were coming from. While there is a chance that the next book will have game breaking stuff, I have to look at it like this. Its got a great story, and awesome minis(IMO). They work on fixing game break issues the come up and are supportive on the forums and very much so at the tournaments that they run(cant wait for gencon last was awesome). Its not like im playing GW where the codex creep has become a codex run. Anyway its late but i look forward to any responses you may have. I very much enjoy discussions and debates about games, rules, ect...
  11. wow, just wow. I was torn between rage and uncontrolled laughter. On one hand it annoys me when someone starts bashing a game that they obviously by their rundown knows nothing about it. But then i realized this guy is off his nutter. Seriously its like he half watched a game one day and made up the rest of the rules in his mind like a freaking fan fic.(not dissing fan fic). To the Wyrd employees, I respect your neutral and very simple responses to this insane rambling. I feel most for the people who were curious about the game who are now put off by his house rules of the game. Yes its easy to explain to people at my LGS things about malifaux using WMH as a reference, but i love the game because it feels So different. Well my rant is done but if you guys are interested in infinity i saw part of the game the other day and could give your my fan fic version of the rules
  12. Nekima and NE LCB are the only 2 things in the 3 inch foam, they both take up a terrible amount of space and Nekima is a brutally delicate model. That being said, with extra precautions such as pinning through the leg she is less in trouble of falling to her death. With that in mind however she is so worth the pain. :happypuppet1
  13. i would ditch hans personally also for me i dont play them with less than 6 ss
  14. Victoria's are avatars of slaughter on the desktop background that they provided.
  15. would paper cover paper weight like it covers rock?
  16. Yea the wyrd booth at gencon has at least 1 hr day 1 of gencon. I need to get my malifaux model count over 110 and gencon looks like its gonna have the models to do it with.
  17. @ziggy I thought it was 4 inches for rats?
  18. I have to agree with karn.I know Seamus isn't the "best" master in the game but i can win with him pretty consistently. Each master has strengths and weaknesses, the scenario matters too. Rethinking about the question i have to say i have changed my mind, in siding with karn i have to say what i say to all people i get into this game. The best master is the one you like the fluff for, because even when you lose you will enjoy playing the game because you love the master. :peace:
  19. Putting Hamelin aside (Because look up just about any Hamelin thread and its non stop Rage of OP rants) I think your looking at LCB, Colette, and Levi, are a few of the top dogs, though most mentioned by others are mentioned for a very good reason, they are awesome as well
  20. And round 7.....FIGHT! :hamelin :sad2:
