  1. I meant Mei Feng, my bad. ---------- Post added at 10:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:38 PM ---------- It was a double of everything we ordered.
  2. We got some extra items from our gen con orders (we didn't order the Misaki box set). I wasn't sure if I should submit this to this mispackaged area or if that was reserved for missing items, if there was another area I should contact Wyrd, or just count it as good luck and move on with my day. Any thoughts on this??
  3. Also, you can target yourself but you can't attack yourself. So Kirai can heal herself but she can't give herself negative flips in duels.
  4. I belive reflect magic is just like riposte where at the end of the duel, if Sonnia wins, she becomes the caster and the caster becomes the defender. Since Levi is an enemy to Sonnia, he would be a legal target and if the Gaki has been wounded it'd be legal. This is just my interpretation though.
  5. In regards to Kang being too slow, if Mei Feng is a ten thunders master, there are a few tricks to get around that.
  6. In every game I've had with Kang he's been late to the party. He really gets into combat turn 3 or 4 but if Mary is still alive when he gets there he is nearly unkilkable and wrecks what's left of my opponent's crew. I'd almost always pick him over Kaeris for that reason and the reasons listed before. Plus, I think the Kaeris trick works mostly on Mei Feng handing out burning tokens, which in the games I've played, she does very little of that. She is too suit dependant to try to set up that combo (at keast for my playstyle). Mei Feng is very fun either way though.
  7. I'm pretty sure it is a mercenary, I believe it costs 2 extra ss to hire than one though.
  8. After playing at 25ss all weekend, the 35ss felt insanely roomy. I can say, in regards of faction strength, I qualified for the sunday avatar tournament with the Neverborn, arcanists, outcasts, and very nearly with the guild and ressers. I think the factions are pretty well balanced at this point (arcanists will get a huge boost with Mei Feng) and the neverborn still have a few overpowered builds they can make but it's almost even. Almost every match from every faction was a challenge regardless of the faction I was playing and I don't think I finished lower than 6th in any of them. ---------- Post added at 09:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:14 PM ---------- Marcus was almost always in one of the top three tables all weekend. In fact, one of the rounds, there were three Marcus' between the three of them. The most surprising for me was the number of competitive Raspy's.
  9. I think it wouldn't be as bad if I understood where the frustration is coming from but I don't see where wyrd has messed up to warrant any frustration. I do hope that the frustration ends after gen con though. I suppose it's from their excitement not being fully satisfied at the moment. I appreciate your responses.
  10. Or are the forums bumming anyone else out lately?? I don't know if anyone else here uses Malifaux as an escape from the nonsense the rest of the world throws out but I do. I mean, there are other things going on in my life but I use Malifaux as a means of forgetting for a little bit that I have obligations to the world. Almost everything about it (except gluing the models) is therapeutic and I don't understand why it seems like so many people are so upset over what seems so silly and inconsequential. I apologize to anyone if that sounds condescending but I just don't understand and reading about it is exhausting. It may just be me and I might be missing something though. Does anyone else feel ths way??
  11. There's also the speed painters. For example, I have painted/based/assembled/primed about 30 dwarves in 3 hours before a tournament before. I'm sure I could paint a crew for Malifaux in my free time over Thursday and Friday.
  12. There's no reason you couldn't also bring Von Schill. At that point, I think it becomes a "who's going to run out of stones first" game, which you'll have the advantage with a 6ss cache. In addition to that, you'll care much less about keeping him alive than they will, thus giving you even more of an advantage.
  13. Malifaux is a town in Germany I believe. ---------- Post added at 08:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:11 PM ---------- Apparently there's one in France too.
