  1. I ordered the Carver over black Friday, and the sculpt looks great. Now I found a card for him in the 2010 Halloween special event pack. I know that is a version 1.5 card, and I know that no card came with the model. My question is will there be a card? Or is anyone else looking at that card and seeing if there is anything we can do to update that card. Either way I will be using that. To start as a proxy for Vasilisa...
  2. I am listening to it now, and I only wish there had been a third person on who liked M2E to be a counter point. To me it is starting to sound like two people who can race to see who likes the game least. I don't feel like there is anyone taking any other opinion besides "Overall I don't like that they changed my game". Sorry if that offends, but it is the way it sounds. Even the points of enjoyment about the new rules seem like foils to another dip into the I don't like this. To the point where it feel like they are saying, well I like this, and that proves I am being balanced, and so now lets talk more about the things I dislike. Now, if anyone is still reading my opinion, I have a quick question. In the beginning you talk about deployment, and that the 12 inch deployment is so much worse then any other deployment, I am just wonder why with more specifics. You say it is because the first person who activates will have such an overwhelming advantage that the second person to go will have a VERY hard time with anything. Considering that at most your opponent will have 2 activations to get something done before you go, and that killing is only marginally important, what is the real issue? I have found that on the occasions when that pops up, it can lead to more interact markers being dropped, as it is easier to be within a certain distance of the opponents deployment zone, but that it really just removed that 1 round of moving without being in attack range. What other issue do you have with that? Thanks for listening......or not.....lol
  3. I would like to see the same kind of release using the story in Book 4 with the Victorian Dolls. The "Collodi" possible henchman. I don't have the book in front of me, but I thought it was some kind of Baron or the like with his carriage of dolls. The dolls in that story were very nice and creepy and I could see the same kind of story encounter with them anywhere on the road. Here's hoping!
  4. My normal game night is Thursday, and it is killing me that the rules don't come out until Friday. I have been more excited about playing Malifaux then I have been in year.
  5. I would just be happy to see the dolls from the Collodi story in book 4 along with a very nice cyborg henchman. They seemed like a very tough little force.
  6. And if you look at the edges of the screen before you log in I see the Carver has made an appearance.
  7. I had Punch, Judy and Jack, but Jill never even occured to me. Thanx. I also think of it like scrap because of the "lines" coming off Collodi's fingertips getting snapped like a whip into a pile of scrap, which is why it can be up to 6 inches away, and a new little friend shows up to play made out of all the little parts. Little sticks of wood and gears rusting all around it. Doesn't strike me as the same if he cracked the whip into a corpse.
  8. There was an HBO mini series called "Carnival". It has the same feel as Malifaux even if it is not quite the same time period. Definitly worth watching
  9. This is just another bump, I was hoping for official word on this two. I did hear a very convincing argument last night that as the +1 AP is a general AP that can only be used for casting and channeling, it could not be combined with the specific AP from casting expert, the same way you can not combine a general AP and the melee expert AP to charge. Just wondering if we could get a Yup or Nope from the RMs. Thanx
  10. Thanx guys. Another good post on a very interesting thread
  11. As far as the Spiral Bound rules Manual goes, you can get that done at Office Max or places like that for about 5-10 bucks. I did it with hard plastic front and back covers and then spiral bound. They cut the perfect binding off and everything. I think it took 10 minutes to do. It was kind funny because I was using a fortune from a fortune cookie to mark my place and it got bound in too. "You are the crispy noodle in the vegetable stir-fry of life" I get the best fortunes.....lol
  12. Even though I know it is not possible from a previous discussion. I would LOVE to see Dead Lady J as a rezzer crew.
  13. Audiobooks are my favorite too. Mostly science fiction/fantasy/murder mysteries. It is nice to have something that keeps my mind engaged without having to look up all the time.
  14. I personally vote for Von Shill. Not only is he a handy support piece with all the other individual members of his crew, if you ever need to teach the game to someone, he makes a GREAT 15 point team.
  15. I heard on another thread that they are talking about a 3X3 vinyl mat. Has anyone else heard anything about that? I had one from my Dreamblade days that was just great to play on.
  16. The main problem I had with using washes is that I was more trying to paint it on then slop it on. I know it sounds odd, but i wasnt using anywhere near enough wash on the model. Once i saw a friend really pooling the wash in the down areas and then maybe going back and taking a little off with a brush helped me a lot. As a practice, just get a model you can practice on and just slop the ink so you can see if that is the issue. I know it was before I saw how others did it.
  17. It is the same way here. I dont know how many time i have moved someone from my deployment area with half his wounds gone. Luckly, i play with a group that realizes mistakes happen. We are not to cut throat....lol
  18. As usual thank you for the answer Eric. It is always nice to know that the powers to be are watching over the flock. I understand why you wouldn't want to offer that type of think on an LE crew, but what if it WASN'T an LE crew? Would there ever be a possibility of a "multi-use" crew?
  19. I actually like a wet erase marker. I have my card laminated and just mark the wounds with the wet erase marker. It makes it easier since i know i wont accidentally "erase" any of my wounds with a careless wave of my hand, which happened often when using dry erase.
  20. See I thought that would be the cool part. For this year, once every two months, a new Guild/Other box set. How cool would that be. I know it would be a bit worse, but how about a new combo for every Gencon. That would work too. Although i agree that the next would have to be Arcanists/Neverborn to balance it out. Would that be a Raspy neverborn master, or a Pandora arcanist? Either way it would be a cool thought.
  21. I know, and that is the part I wish was different. I think I would have just enjoyed a "Good" vs "Evil" Lady J fight. Just thinking of all the bad movies and TV shows with that setup...lol.
  22. I am not sure if this is the right place to post, but here you go. And I want to point out that even this is a SMALL complaint for a person who enjoys most everything he has seen in Malifaux. I am a little disappointed in the Dead Justice box. When I originally heard it was going to be a Guild/Rezzer box I got all kinds of thoughts about other "combination" crews that could be created. Re-thought masters like Lady J who has been disillusioned by the guild becoming the very thing she hunted. There is a long tradition of that in movies and books. "Chained" Neverborn working for the guild. McMourning rethinking his guild role. And that just scratches the surface. So I was expecting all kinds of new powers for Lady J as a Rezzer. Now i am finding out that she is just a doxy for the Rez, not even a henchman that could be used as a "master". I understand just how difficult it would be to rethink a master like that, but that challenge is exactly what I am thinking about. So i guess I want to end this with some questions: Is there any thought at Wyrd for a true cross master that could be used for more then one faction? Is there a chance that Dead Lady J could have a card released to make her a henchman or master for the Rez? Are there any other cross-faction masters we could see and where would they fit? Thanx and keep up the great work everyone at Wyrd. Sleeper00
  23. Ok, thank you. I was doing that wrong. Good to know going forward. Thanx again, that was everything.
  24. Good I thoughts so and that is how we played it, so that works. Just one more quick DUMB question. I know that LCB and The Dreamer have 3 general AP between them. If I DON'T switch them, can LCB use all three? Plus his Melee Expert for Four total actions from LCB. Thanx again
  25. I have looked around for a bit, but i have not spotted a question on one specific point. I was playing a game against Seamus, and i got off The Dreamers "All My Friends" trigger. I argued that Lord Chompy Bits counted as a buried friendly nightmare. The friend I was playing against, said since The Dreamer and LCB were the "same" master, i couldnt unbury him. After consulting with another friend, it was decided that I could unbury LCB and bury the dreamer, as LCB was a buried friendly nightmare. Just wondering if i was correct. Thanx in advance
