I was pleased with most of the new stuff, and picked up the Levi box... even though i previously had no intent to play him. I think its the first time I've ever bought something just to own the models, so congrats Wyrd. On the other hand, I'm sticking with my Old Nekima model. Not because of big boobs or the tongue (which both don't really gel with the model in my opinion), but more because she is in just about the same pose as the mature nephilims are in. As she will play in my lilith crews, I don't want multiple linebacker style models bellowing "come at me bro!"

Regarding Sensei Yu, You should absolutely take him with other masters than Shenlong! The ability to mimic the (0) action of your master can have some pretty awesome side effects: -Double Mulligan with Lynch -Double Drinking Contest zones with Brewmaster -He can gain Chi (through the Soul Porter) and Ascend with Yan Lo! - etc etc etc Its such a nifty way to double down on some cool tricks in your crew. Against some crews, his resistance to being pushed around is key, and his airburst is great at getting extra movement for slow models. And don't forget to get the free trigger of focus when you airburst! this lets him (1) interact for free! He's also 10Ts best source for Fast with the wandering river style.

You get to take 1x (2) attack action per archer within 6" of the carrier. The only attack action that satisfies this criteria is Hail of Hachinosu At the end of the turn, take 1x Hail of Hachinosu attack per archer.

Amazing AND irritating. All at once!

A tactic that I like to use if you expect to face Lures in your game: Sidir + By your side You can either just put Blot the sky on sidir, or have him jump in front of the Lure with "By Your Side". He cannot be moved by lure, and is going to block LoS with his 40mm base (protecting you from a second attempt from the same belle/beckoner).

Kang and Yamaziko have caches that correspond to their cost as well.

Quick and simple: At the end of the game, can the primordial magic count as both the scheme marker & the model next to the scheme marker? Just want to touch base. I don't see anything that says it stops counting as a model... just its bit about counting as a scheme marker once per game.

I normally run then in two or threes depending on a) how safe i feel i can keep them and what master I'm taking. Some masters lend themselves better to hiring a model to guard the archers than others

I don't think this would actually work, as the rule page says it grants soft cover (which isn't soft cover +1) so it wouldn't stack. As far as i understand it, you have to have the +# thing to get stacking values of the same name. As for the "just take the better", thats what some inthe other thread felt should be the answer, but there was nothing they could point to rules-wise to back up the stance. I think I have my answer. Thanks guys.

Yeah, found the thread here... It was inconclusive, but reviews the differing points of view well enough. The bottom line was "Nothing seems to stop it..."

Playing around with some list ideas, and this question popped into my brain... From the section on Cover in the rule book: Thoughts? While an unlikely scenario, some models that bring their own soft cover... could they benefit?

Just found an upgrade error (I think): Hiring Fingers in a 10t Brewmaster list with the "Running Tab" upgrade, Fingers has access to Gremlin upgrades: Dirty Cheater, Quality Mash Liquor, Stilts, and Show Off I don't think he should have those, right? As 10T would be declared?

I can't wait to see what these end up looking like. Not only for the stories they will help tell, but to get some insight on how the TTB team feel a story arch should look and flow. And we finally know who the Lurch-like guy is. Yup, definitely creepy.
