    It’s a nice day for a… WIGHT WEDDING Echoing out over the Quarantine Zone, from a tower long silent, the church bells rang out their broken song. Word of this mysterious chiming spread; along with it rumors that the churchyard itself was changing... growing. Those brave enough to venture to the grounds would report grounds in progressively improving states of repair; though no workers were ever observed in close proximity. One investigator would soon report that the frosted glass of the service itinerary signage had been updated: a bloody finger-painted smear read " Sunday". The power's that be have taken notice and are convinced that this would be an event they'd have to crash.     Ahoy Midwest Malifans! On December 10th, Miniature Market is hosting it's return of Krampus-Faux 2.0; the festive holiday themed event! As always, we'll have a free pizza lunch included, a prize raffle, and Painting Contest. Details will be forthcoming, but for now this is a heads-up! It will be one part story event, 2 parts standard gaining grounds rules, and only one this is for sure: the Krampus is watching! 9610 Continental Industrial Dr. St Louis, MO 63123 (877) 326-4429 Details: Type: 50ss, fixed faction. Gaining Grounds 2016 rules to apply Time: 105 minute rounds, 3 rounds Entry: $5 (receive 2x Raffle Tickets**) Schedule: 10 - 10:20 = Registration 10:30 = cards flip 12:20 = FREE PIZZA LUNCH! 5:00 = Awards **Pre-registering with Miniature Market earns you (1) bonus Raffle Ticket. Strategies: Round 1: Stake a Claim / Corner Deployment Round 2: Reconnoiter / Standard Deployment Round 3: Squatter's Rights / Corner Deployment Schemes will be revealed at the event! Strategies: The contest will be for best painted group. A "group" being 1 model of 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm base sizes, for a total of 3 models per group. Prizes: We'll have plenty of door prizes to give away! Generously donated by Miniature Market, Mats by Mars , and Angry Mojo Games, there will be mats , terrain, accessories, and store credit for all!     Only models hired will count for the dance card!

    Absolutely! The "Dance Card" will be a running tally of all the models utilized during the event. For example bringing 5 Malifaux Rats would be 1 check box on the dance card. Bringing a rat, an obedient wretch, and Nix would be worth 3 checks on the dance card. As the event is open faction, you can choose any master/faction for every round (normal hiring rules apply within faction though), so you can really mingle with a lot of models!

    Its Time for a Masquerade! Wave 4 is upon us! With just enough time after GenCon to slap some paint on those new models, here is a prime opportunity to test them out for a party... yes... ALL of them! On August 27th, Miniature Market is hosting another great three round event for players of all skill levels! In this event, we cast of the ties that bind us to one faction for the day.     This event is coming up, so it's time for an update! We've had some lovely event sponsors step up, so a special thank you to Angry Mojo Games and Secret Weapon Miniatures. Their prize support will join Miniature Market, Mats by Mars, and a Wyrd tournament kit for a pretty handsome prize pool! A few words on the format - As my previous events, these will be Gaining Grounds 2016 schemes, but there will be some custom story elements thrown in for spice (I'd say about 2 shakes of standard, and a pinch of story)! As always, all prizes will be raffled away, with certificates for all of the winners! There is only room for 22 people at the event, so i suggest pre-registering! Not only will it gain you more raffle tickets, and let me know you're coming, but it will hold your spot so you're guaranteed to play! See you soon!

It’s electric presence precedes it. The unaware masses sleep while a blanket of nervous tension smothers their dreams with unease and panic. But there are some who sit in dark chambers; the gentle amber glow of their aethervox lighting their anxious expressions. They have waited all day to hear her voice again… The hum of the aethervox pops and crackles, leaving the moment pregnant with anticipation. How? Attached to each scheme will be a bit of text, and, so long as you accomplish 1VP from that scheme, you may use the text towards your story. At the end of the tournament, the best story will be awarded the Master Storyteller title (and prizes)!

    Rudeboyscott: So long as your Wyrd Miniature is easily distinguishable as what it's supposed to be. This is easy if you convert them. If you, however, are playing a skull faced death marshall as the undead resser variant, that could also work. But no taking Bad Juju and calling him a Mature Nephilim.

    Jim - Your rat kings are fine. And i'm ok with the vampire bats too (as they can't be confused for anything else really). But you will have to get the appropriate card for the winged plagues or have the book available for opponents to see it the final release version. I'll try to remember to make you a copy of the card, but please only consider me a backup plan. lots going on right now

    I'd like that too Jim, but I like to keep my events less daunting to new players. If its con-size events, i'd definitely go for a larger paint requirement though (or at least 2 categories to enter into)!

    Great question noob! You had it right the first time: All prizes will be raffle drawn. That said, first, second, and third place will get something to hang on their wall to commemorate their triumph over the Krampus! The outlier to this is the paint prize. The best painted model gets a certificate and miniature market gift certificate. As a reminder, best painted model submissions must be models played with during the tournament. Great question. Hope that clears things up!

    Great guys! I'm not sure if you're in the Midwest Malifaux facebook group, but as i mentioned there - Adding to the raffle pool will be a core rulebook for any new player with 10 or less games under their belts. This will be an event for all experience levels Glad you'll make it!
