  1. book 2 models have more rules and therefore need smaller print. the cards were fine for everything book 1, and instead of completely revamping the entire infrastructure it is much more reasonable to use smaller print
  2. this is, by far, the greatest thread in the history of mankind
  3. with defensive stance or any other buff
  4. you know seamus' avatar gets down to 1 wp. so when you are playing against a crew that will attack wp heavily, you won't manifest. similarly, master marcus can buff wp, whereas avatar marcus hurts it while buffing cb. so when you are playing against a crew that will attack wp heavily, you won't manifest. it is simply an option. do i need beefier combat to win this match? if yes, avatar. not every model is useful in every situation, you have to decide how and when to get the most out of the options available to you and that is what makes you a good player. avatars were not designed so that they would simply replace masters and be used every time in every situation.
  5. There is an objective power level that models have. It is not a matter of opinion. Now, people's opinions about that objective power level might be wrong but it does not mean that the objective power level does not exist. presumably that power level is quantified by using a soul stone cost, but this again might be incorrect.
  6. wait... so you are saying keltheos tastes like bacon?
  7. i've heard discussions to the contrary... but yes, it is at least highly unlikely to change
  8. yes.... and then on their second activation you would look down at their card and it would say (+1) Fast, and you'd look that up and it would say 1 more AP on your current or next activation whichever comes first. and then you'd be like my current activation comes before my next one, YAY I get one more AP now. and then the next turn you'd look down at their card and you'd see (+1) Fast... edit: sorry, non-sarcastic version - of course abilities that are printed on the card can be used more than once
  9. the weakness of living models is not that they drop corpses. no one cares about corpses. like the OP says, its that there are simply way more effects that affect living than other model types, say nightmare. this is partially because nightmare didn't exist before book 2. not to mention terrifying: breaking a model is pretty much as good as removing it. in book 1 the balancing factor was that living models tended to do more damage. book 2 pretty much turned things upside down with very little drawback.
  10. Yes you may nominate a model you are engaged with. However, you may not charge a model you are engaged with, so you would be effectively wasting your (0) action. Movement effects are defined on page 35 of the rules manual as a Walk, Charge, or Jump action, moved using the Wk/Cg stat, pushed, or falling back.
  11. levi with plus 3 wk? yes, it's as amazing as it sounds
  12. even better, they don't receive the benefit of armor. this means armor that can't be ignored (joss, etc.) can still effectively be ignored killjoy is good, more for the amount of attacks than the high damage output (armor 4 still makes him do 1 damage). also black blood can be awesome to whittle them down hanged are pretty much garbage against them. flurry models are good.
  13. it doesn't explicitly state in the manual that non spirits may move through spirits (like it does explicitly say that spirits can move through other models) but it has been ruled that yes, it is indeed reciprocal.
  14. you use the action after you kill an enemy model slow to die gives you 1 AP to make an action, but you may not take any other actions after that and therefore may not use the (0) action, even if you killed an enemy model
  15. they are really good in combat, but they are pretty slow masters aren't the only ones reliant on healing. but yes if you cast it at a master and they have to use a soulstone to avoid it that is just as good. they will run out eventually.
  16. A if you goal is simply to win D if you want to have fun and try to win by outplaying your opponents
  17. i pretty much use them solely for half your wds no more healing. can completely shut some masters/models down
  18. um making things undead. some of the best models in the faction are living which makes them, well, a liability. almost positive that acid breath will have a gun symbol by the way
  19. austringers don't feed their birds enough gremlins... they are better off fending for themselves
  20. the title of this thread is an amazing name for an ability especially if there is a gremlin lawyer, he could just me matthew mcconaughey's character in a time to kill
