  1. Well, I wasn't thinking of now as 1.5 vs. 2e, but more now vs. the original book 1. And I know it's a nitpick, but technically Performers and Beckoners didn't have Lure in 1.5...(sorry, I can't help it). Cornelious, could you be more specific about what Seamus (or his crew) have lost? I really don't see anything he's lost access to, other than the choice between the Bag and his Rep (sinister rep being more similar to old school Seamus).
  2. Exactly. Even if you were to ignore the mercenary characteristic, That means Ressers, Outcasts, Neverborn, and 10T all have access to Lure in faction (Outcasts need to bring Misaki to avoid paying merc price). Plus, I'll eat my hat if Performers don't have it as well.
  3. I'd go with "Venn was Collodi all along using a fake name."
  4. If you're referring to the interview I'm thinking of (Aethervox), then I don't think they said the master would not be dual faction. Mack and Justin mumbled something about 10 Thunders, and doing something different, and then said they couldn't talk about it. Unless there was another interview that I missed, I think Arcanists could have another dual 10T master.
  5. Just save the card to use One with the Night to keep Bete coming back. She is vulnerable to melee, but ideally she will be appearing where and when you want her, so you should be able to minimize her exposure before she strikes. She can make people think twice about killing your objective grabbers, too.
  6. M2e Seamus is amazing. I haven't actually used his Sinister Rep upgrade in a game yet, I love the Bag o' Tools too much. Belles are a must; Lure is one of the best abilities in the game (note how many other factions have it now). I also like to run Bete Noir for additional killing power, and Necropunks are very good objective grabbers/scheme layers.
  7. I've got a dollar that says they will release new models in books the way they've always done. Not having a book for wave 2 models let's them keep on schedule with whatever they have planned for Gencon next year.
  8. Buried is buried. Multiple bury effects don't interact. I'm not sure what you mean, either.
  9. That...is a huge amount of information. I can't say I agree with most of it, but I am impressed by your work ethic.
  10. Not to put too fine a point on it, but there was no way Wyrd was ever going to let us open-playtest all of the new models they'll ever release. They only offered us the chance to playtest the one's being converted between editions. As far as keywords and crews, there are several models that were in the beta with the Tormented keyword. I still have no idea what it was for. The only real advantage I see to the Iron Zombies is the combination of Armor and HtW. They should be pretty resilient to anything except Levi.
  11. My personal suspicion is that Obliteration is the only real "nightmare" model, and the others will be the same in the normal box.
  12. Marcalla's right. Lynch isn't making the flip.
  13. Likes: The pose on the crouching death marshal The new Scales That the other death marshals are jumping off of coffins, very dynamic Dislikes: Lady J's hair. her momentum is going to her left, how is her hair ahead of her? I really dislike the hair specifically. Lady J's outfit. I really like the corset & jeans combo on the original sculpt. Neutral/Undecided: Lady J's pose. I'll have to see the model to decide how I feel. Poses of the jumping death marshals. They don't look very good to me, but the 3D versions could be much better than I'm imagining. Flaming heads...we'll see Complicated: The Judge. I love this art. I love everything about the picture, and I expect to love everything about the model when it's released...I just don't want it to be the Judge. I really like the original Judge; enough that I still try to get him to work for me and be useful. I understand that new sculpts mean redesigns, but this is very different from the original model. It is similar to the old concept art, I suppose. I would have much preferred to see this art as a new character, or a resculpt of some other guild model (Death Marshal, Stalker, Handler, etc). I will probably buy this box, but my overall impression is less than thrilled.
  14. Assuming that Jack Daw does gain Brilliance, I'm going to go with number 1. Feast or Famine doesn't technically make the heal dependent on the wound being taken, it just heavily implies that they're related.
  15. The other one wouldn't come close enough to try her luck.
  16. ...Killed a Rail Golem, Gun Vik, Ronin and a Supply Wagon, while healing himself back to full and ending the game holding the Treasure Counter.
  17. Drat, my money was on 2.0 NEXT year. Guess I was wrong.
  18. Disengaging strikes are optional, so this should never work. Just don't stab your own grudged minion.
  19. 4) Focus handcannon shots whenever possible 4) Try Drowned 4) Try Drowned
  20. The ruling in the FAQ technically only mentions effects. As a game term, tokens are not effects. I wouldn't call this conclusive, but food for thought. I certainly agree that Rafkin's flask is absolutely terrible if it doesn't poison everyone under it's blasts. Kaeris and Willie don't suffer as much. but I think they hand out burning tokens to all targets under their blasts.
  21. If the Canine Remains is an enemy model, then yes (and also a Seishin for Kirai if she was within 8"). If the Canine is friendly, then Spirit Food won't work on it.
  22. The rule set doesn't lend itself to serious competition the way a system like Warmachine does. It may also have something to do with the tongue-in-cheek nature of much of the game.
  23. I picked up the Pale Rider specifically for running in Escape and Survive. While I continue to lose that strategy every time, the Pale Rider does survive (or survive longest).
