It sounds perfectly feasible to me. I like the stitched against ranged crews even in a non dreamer list on occasion. Is it a fixed list tournament I take it? The Lelu/Lilitu combo could be useful, with lilitu wp debuff spell paving the way for some nice life gambling by the stitched. She may also be able to lure individual enemy right into the mouths of teddy and lelu. That would be dropping 1 teddy and having just a 3 stone cache though.

I enjoyed it thoroughly and would follow a thread of similar format. Hint hint.

From book 1 masters I have never seen ramos played but I think he is the only 1. Hope to change that soon enough now I have him. From book 2, Hamelin and Hoffman but they are still recent.

Well I work in corporate recovery. So not a million miles from your field AB. For those who don't know I basically work for the trustee in bankruptcy, liquidator, administrator etc, making people redundant and selling off assets mostly. The occasional rescue and turnaround but they are rare these days.

You will also need 2 packs of dogs in my opinion and I never leave home without his zombie Chihuahua. He also needs some other big hitter in the crew Imho but you will already have pz and belles so it's just how you want to play him on that front. You could try without the dogs if you have some necropunks as they share some functionality.

Good question, it doesn't actually meet any of the 3 definitions in the book but I would argue it was an enemy model as it was brought into play by an enemy crew. I would wait for a more definitive answer from elsewhere though

Sorry James the model is not an enemy defender. The mini rulebook has the definition on pg13 But basically an enemy is Currently under another crews control Hired by another crews and under that crews control, or Brought into play by an enemy model and under their control

I would agree, even as the Kirai player I would say it it is not a ranged attack, in the same way as blasts. It is a problem against Sonnia as she can certainly generate enough blasts.

Many thanks for that, Is the first time I have tried using 1st person but it just seemed to work better for the story. Part 2 is only about the same length and then it's done. It also introduces some of the more established Malifaux character's. I read less stories in here than I should, some of them are superb though.

As a reult of a gentleman on these forums I have just received Ramos, so had been going through very similar thought processes. Despite not fully fleshing out my idea I had been looking to see if I could mod in the character from the front of a Penitent engine. Ok I had resisted because it is totally stupid but why not. Being Scottish, Alistair or Ally for short is a fairly common name, so whenever I read words such as fundamentally, realistically etc, in my head they turn into characters Realistic Ally Fundamental Ally and so on

Can't post a link but in enigma miniatures, massive darkness range there are two mini's, one called moonface and one called oqtarimus. Oq is likely to be my wicked doll if I become too impatient but would work as an alp too Imo

Well, it's only my second foray into adding anything to this part of the forum, and this is only a short story of two small parts. Part 3 and 4 may appear elsewhere in the forums if general laziness doesn't prevent it. -------------------------------------------------------- The silence seemed endless..... I could feel the fifty or so pairs of eyes burning through my skin like the warmth of the noon-day sun. It gave brief respite from the pain in my knees, but the fear I felt as I knelt before Pastor Creber seeking forgiveness, was real and constant. A smile crept across his face as he took Thomas by the shoulders. “That is for the Governor.” -------------------------------------------------------- A little heavy on the religous overtones I know but it was the only way I felt it could work unless she was in a circus family and I figured a pastor would get more of the time of day than a $$$$$$$$$$. Very enjoyable. Not sure how I missed this. I too am looking forward to the puppet masters release and to me at least you nailed the feel of him.

that is a tough question. McMourning was my first master and I love the mad doctor vibe, the slicing and dicing summoning playstyle is also very enjoyable. I also love kirai but I think that is mostly as I am a sucker for Japanese history and culture. I am yet to properly play with her crew but her playstyle looks fun and challenging. So after all that McM gets my vote.

Oh yeah. I will need to reconsider my strategy!

The best crew to start with is the one you like the best, whether that's the models or the fluff. Among the Crews generally viewed as easiest to start with include Perdita, lady justice and seamus. There are plenty of tactica's around to assist though. Good luck narrowing it down, no doubt you will end up with a stupid amount of crews just like the rest of us.
