  1. I believe that Nathan said that they have decided to discontinue the Limited Editions for purchases on the website and instead offer them in other ways (prize support and similar).
  2. I finished Marcus for my Arcanists Crew. This is something I was very happy with. Trying some new techniques on him including using primarily washes and 'juices' to build up the colour on a white undercoat. Also tried to restrict my colours to really 'earthy' browns and oranges to emphasise his animal/naturistic character. This is my first try at painting dark skin and actually really pleased with the result. And from the back. As always C and C welcomed and encouraged.
  3. Appreciate all the comments. Finished the second of my Razorspine Rattlers. Went for a very similar scheme with just a few minor colour changes to differentiate the two. And the pair together. Not sure if I'll use two or just have the second for Myranda to shape-shift into.
  4. I did have my heart set on "Showcase". Although I do like your Wild West idea. It just occurs to me we should name it something like "Bayou Hootenanny"
  5. More love for the Order of the Chimera. This time with 100% added Sabertooth Cerberus. Other side Something about this kitty that I really enjoyed painting. Should get a second one. C + C Welcome
  6. I hold regular sessions at my place. and there are a few others that do the same. I know Wombats has made an initial enquiry about Malifaux-ing at Ace Comics but don't know the progress.
  7. Looking really good. Love the little details like the signs. Hope I can play them one of these days.
  8. It's great to give feedback but I think in some of these cases you have either got unlucky or something is simply not to your taste. The Imagery, yes it varies but I don't think it's any different from many other manufacturers works. Multiple artists, all trying to nail down the look and feel of the world will use different styles to see what works. I love the artwork and think the different styles is great. I think of the old GW books with very different styles all through it. The Fluff, I can see why it bothered you but I personally think it is a great idea to break up the rules with the fluff. As I was doing my first read through it was nice to alternate a rules section with the evolving story. to each their own I guess. The Mould lines, think you just got unlucky. I have had very few issues with mould lines/flash and many of my regular games group have found the same. Some have required more removal than others but that happens. I have found other manufacturers to be far worse. The Errata, you can't fault them for being comprehensive. I think some games keep the erratas/FAQ small to avoid looking like the system has too many flaws. This leads to the problem of leaving many issues unresolved/unanswered. Also, this is the first edition of a brand new game there were bound to be issues that needed to be clarified. I don't mean to nit-pick your nit-pick and your criticisms are valid. I would just disagree as my experience has been markedly different.
  9. I run a Seamus crew and they are a lot of fun but lack some hitting power. I would suggest playing some test games with a short list of the masters that appeal to you and see what fits.
  10. First of all welcome to Wyrd. Great to see more Australians joining up. In regards to stores, talk to Adam from Acid Gaming, he is a regular on here and is one of the Henchman and a wandering Merchant based in Sydney. If you are after a mail order store, I'm based in QLD and am also a stockist. Who is your master of choice or are you still deciding?
  11. I have started on my second Crew to get some more variety in my games. Marcus seems underplayed and I really like the fluff and the models. Razorspine Rattler from the Order of the Chimera (Arcanists) Looks a lot more fleshy in the photos but I'm pretty happy with the results. Back view C + C welcome
  12. Pics are back up as the judging was completed and I got through to the next round on a 22.5 out of 30. Going to have to pick up my painting game for the next round. Dropped the most points there.
  13. It's funny I have always read you handle as Dire Hoarcat Smuggler. I must be a little dyslexic. Was wondering how much you get for them this side of the breach?
  14. L D P comes from the Hobby Blog and Store that I run. Love, Dice and Paintbrushes is usually too long to use as a forum handle.
  15. As always, I am in awe of your work Brushmistress. I love this mini and your skill have brought out the best of it.
  16. New Update 14/01 Over on my regular haunt, WargamerAU, they are running a competion styled in the vein of the illustrious Iron Painter completion. To force me to push my (somewhat limited) abilities to the fullest I have entered. The first round theme is Weather/Whether and I decided to enter by painting my favourite of the Rotting Belle sculpts. Here she is "Shamblin' in the Rain" And the reverse with my first attempt at freehand. C + C welcome as always.
  17. On the Belle you are talking about there are three pieces. 1. Belle's Body 2. Left arm from just above the elbow to the parasol shaft 3. Parasol canopy It sounds like the left arm/parasol piece is damaged and incomplete.
  18. We would, but we have to fight our way through hordes of marauding Kangaroos and Drop Bears to do it. Oh Mick Dundee, what damage you did to our national image...
  19. Send them an email with pics of the offending part. Wyrd are nothing but fantastic when resolving issues with their products. http://www.wyrd-games.net/contact
  20. New update 12/01 I'm procrastinating on my final Belles so I knocked out Bete Noire. Wanted to try using a limited palette and go for a monochrome effect with just a touch of red to act as a focus. I think the blending up from a paler colour on the base of her dress and the limited range of colours emphasises her ethereal nature. Took a lot of inspiration from the LotR Army of the Dead. C + C Welcome.
  21. I have a great idea, you could put a bullseye to help Seamus a bit more. :guns: I am having a productive day at work...
  22. Sorry to hear Malebolgia's having some RL issues. I am always amazed at his work finding all the industry news. Hope it all works out soon.
